Description of Work: They installed insulation in areas that were missing in the attic and also installed baffles; they also installed insulation around the heating ducts that ran from the boiler. I was very pleased with the services provided and the professionalism and cleanliness of the workers!

Description of Work: Turning your House Green did installation in our attic and basement. I think that the attic was done well.I do not think that the insulation in the basement did anything. He was to come back to put a pipe in my bathroom that was in the attic out through the roof. He never did. I called numerous times and he was in the hospital so I let it go. When I called again this year, he was in the hospital. I did notice that on Angie's List people did do reviews around that time. I do think he could have sent someone else. I had it done so no problem. I would not use him again.

Description of Work: They sealed all our heating ducts, wrapped them and our heating unit in insulating material. They also insulated the space between the garage and our bedroom area. This was done only after survey the areas for leaks heat and cold air.

Description of Work: Eugene, his son and the rest of the crew climbed into a hole above the 1st floor ceiling and were able to insulate an area that helped both the 1st and 2nd floor of our home. Both the insulation and the finish work of patching the ceiling along with painting on a primer coat were done beautifully. Each day that they would come, the would clean up before they left leaving no trace that they had been there.

 + -1 moreThe work was done two weeks ago and we have been very pleased with the outcome. We had our children's room located over a garage and no matter what we did room was about 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. We finally reached out to Turning Your Home Green for help and was immediately impressed with Gene's expertise. He came out and did a thorough inspection and identified the problem with a lack of insulation around the main vent that was passing heat through the garage to the children's room. Given the cold temperatures in the garage, heat was being depleted before it could reach our children's room. He also pointed out the poor insulation inside the garage ceiling. In addition, Gene recommended weather stripping the garage doors and all doorways to the garage. Work was done in two days. Children's room now much better and less drafty. There was a noticeable improvement with the downstairs family room and bedroom (located next to garage). Heat now seems to be flowing more evenly through all living areas upstairs and downstairs.
Description of Work: Insulate ceiling and main vent in garage. Weather stripped garage doors and all doorways to garage.

Gene and his crew used state-of-the-art materials that are specific to a home with radiant heat (which we have throughout). Since the installation, our basement is no longer as hot as it used to be, and the first floor open family room - we're sure - will better maintain it's temperature come cold weather. This project has reduced our energy bills, and we expect to see an even bigger difference this winter. They were punctual, efficient and did a great job of cleaning up at the end of each day. The work was impeccable, and we will definitely be using Turning Your Home Green for any future energy-saving projects.
