The phone call to set up the contract was quickly accomplished and very professional - and personable. I have used Russo Bros. in the past and have always been totally pleased. They are super quick to respond with very expedient appointments. Always on time. The service reps have been professional and once again, very personable. Easy to talk to and pass on informaiton proavctively. If you are in their service area I highly recommend them.

We had water problem in the basement, asked Russo Bros to provide a solution. The plumbers are very professional, installed pipes, sump pump, but didnt find the root cause of the problem, in fact the pipe was connected to a dry well which was the problem

It went great. They showed up on time and got to work right away. The technician carried himself in a professional manner and was eager to answer all of my questions. As far as I know, he was honest and fair. He offered a discount on some future work and was pleasant. I will use them again to service my furnace next fall/winter.

They cancelled two previous appointments last minute and were scheduled to come out at 9am today. Called me at 10:30 am and tried to cancel appointment and said they don't have any other openings. After questioning rep I found out that they won't service my account but are instructed to keep making appointments and canceling them!!!!! (They won't even tell me why they won't service my account. I do not have any balance with them and have paid with AMEX) But they should have just told me that they won't service me instead of this complete unprofessionalism!

I have to say I am so happy I did not have Angies List 5 years ago when I first began using Russo Bros - the reviews would have scared me away. I am new to Angie so I am just learning how to read the ratings and comments. As usual, Russo Bros answers the phone, they give you a reasonable appt, they call before the appt and then THEY CALL TO TELL YOU THE TECH IS ON THE WAY!!! You cannot say that about MOST service providers. Bernie came out and was pleasant and respectful to my 75 yr old Mother. He called me to tell me about the issue and then called me once it was taken care of. He made the mistake of asking me if there was anything else and offered a 'full service check' for a nominal fee. I agreed (preventative maintenance is always the best idea). Bernie found a thriving community of mice or chipmunks under/in the A/C unit. He removed the nest and their 'belongings'. It seems they enjoy the protected area for winter living. Yes it cost a bit more but lets examine the positive: #1 - they are no longer there to damage the A/C unit. #2 - I didnt have to clean up after them. Everyone complains about price, as the saying goes and quot;You get what you pay forand quot;. I am also a big fan of the and quot;Russo big book of pricesand quot;. On various occasions the tech showed me prices when I asked about doing certain repairs. It is there in black and white. I have always been well advised of the cost of a repair, they honor the coupons they mail you without question and I have always been treated with respect and courtesy. I have used Russo on 6 - 8 different occasions to do everything from install a new water heater in my home, install a water treatment system in my Mom's condo to fixing a botched drain job someone did when installing a new shower. They have always been a pleasure. And a big thanks to Bernie, your demeanor and attitude made my Mothers day! :)

The tank was installed properly but the venting was not installed properly which I had to pay extra for(120.00) .Was not done correctly failed inspection. Had to come back to remedy improper installation in other words do the same job twice. Then the second time tried to get me to install a 300.00 chimney liner for a ridiculous price of 2200.00.Sorry but I think they should be investigated by the proper authorities. There has to be some kind of control on their pricing and their line of BS. If a person is qualified to do a job it should be done right the first time measure twice cut once. If there was proper experience this would not have happened. You can get well qualified plumbers for about half of what they charge to do the job. I am sorry I didn't shop around.850.00 would have been the correct price for a quality forty gallon hot water heater.

Cheated on price. They say they have flat price for any service. Charged 650 + Tax for replacing. He put Zoeller M53 now when I search costs around $120 to $150 max. So they charged more than $500 for replacing sump pump. The job took 20 mins max. FYI: This was a replacement job not installing a new sump pump which I think was a trivial job.

Solid work, but expensive and looking to upsell.

It was a fiasco. Be careful as Russo will charge you a fortune, that is no where near a fair price for what they do. They did a very minimal repair by replacing a small section of pipe. That was it. They charged almost $3,000. It was about 4 hours work and a small length of pipe. Maybe $800 would have made some sense, though also would have been very high. Be very careful with these folks and watch out for surprises. There are better choices out there. I recently used Dawson Mechanical and they were competent and fairly priced.

they did a great job. Very resonable cost. Had 3 bids and the other couldn't even figure out what was going on. They came prepared, were quick and they analyzed the problem quickly.

Excellent service and responsiveness...first rate customer service and professionalism. Could have done without an almost $50 service charge on top of parts and labor. Overall good work, but will will pay for it.

There were very modest additional costs for the repairs. I had no complaints.

worked ok until the cap they put on fell into the drain and everything backed up. refused to offer any warranty or discount to fix it and wants another $2250 to return.

The first very cold night of the winter season and my furnace decides to take a sick day. The service tech came early, repaired the furnace and gave a run down of the unit, its condition and what to expect in the future. Knowledgeable and courteous. Good job.

Russo bros. performed the following work. They installed 2 faucets one on a laundry room utility sink and the other on a bathroom sink. They also installed a new shut-off valve to my washing machine. The technician was very professional and friendly. I felt the quality of work was very good. The total price for the work was $1250.00. While I went ahead and had the work done I feel their pricing was high. They charged $700 for the installation of the bathroom faucet.

Had turned heater on for first time of season. Had worked fine when last used. Did not function at all. Mr. Russo came to the house, diagnosed and repaired the problem. A bird in the fan. As we are all helpless in these situations, this was the kind of thing that an unscrupulous vendor could have sold me a new motor or whatever.

Bill, the service technician, was fantastic. It is the second time I've dealt with him, and each time, he was punctual, courteous, patient, and thorough. He explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions.

I just purchased the house and was not sure when the last maintenance was done on the furnace/hot water heater and the appointment was to inspect the system and perform the yearly maintenance on the furnace. I received call the day before reminding me of the appointment and another call the day of the appointment telling me the tech was on his way and should be at my house in about 30 mins.The tech arrived on time and was very professional and very relaxed. He didn't appear to be in any rush. He inspected the furnace, hot water heater and oil tank and explained that other than the hot water heater being a little older than the furnace, the only work that would be needed should be the normal furnace maintenance. He provided the quote for the work. He performed the work on the furnace and actually left the area cleaner than when he started. He did show me the parts that were removed and did everything that I expected. I have nothing bad to say about the customer service, the service tech or the work that was done. The price was high. I would definitely keep that in mind in the future but the professionalism and courtesy of the employees was definitely outstanding and that may have some sway in future decisions to use them.

Overall very well. Pricing was on the high side, but I wanted a fast repair so I wasn't complaining. They have a receptionist/scheduler that answers the phone. So you know right away how quickly they can help you. Response here was fast. They gave me an estimated time of service and met it. Workman was clean and neat used protection on the floor for the removal / load in of the units. They were thorough and completed the job quickly.

the tech came in and was attentive to what I was saying. he took his time assessing the problem which was a leak into my basement. once he did his assessment he gave me his hourly rate. recommended a solution and was ready to work. I pointed out two additional trouble spots he gave me a price and went to work. after he found the source of the leak he called me in to see it. he quickly finished the job, I was very pleased with the work and the cost was half the other three estimates I got.

Steve Russo arrived punctually to review the job and provide an estimate. He went about his examination in a most professional and courteous manner. I already had two other estimates which seemed too high for the amount of time and work the jobs required. (I am not unfamiliar with plumbing). Although he took a little longer to provide the estimate than expected, the estimate was far closer to what I had envisioned. The plumbers arrived on the day and at the time promised and went straight to work. Both jobs were completed in two hours (I had thought three would be required). They were professional and courteous throughout and wasted no time completing and testing the hookups. A few days later, I noticed a slow drip from the cold water line to the sink and called to report it. Steve Russo came out and examined the problem, he quickly diagnosed the source and repaired the faulty junction. He advised me to call again if the problem persisted. Not only are their prices fair and their work excellent, but they stand behind their work and are responsive to calls. I will keep their phone number handy and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of a plumber.

Our hot water heater pilot went out and wouldn't relight so I called my usual plumber(not Russo Bros) but he said he did work on this particular brand. The previous owner had the unit was originally installed by Russo Bros. about 10 years ago so I called them. Very quick response and prompt communication. No complaints there. Russo Bros. Tech installed a new wiring harness but since unit was so old, he recommended fully replacing unit along with a few other upgrades to the water system (since the flue was not to current code and the water pressure coming from the main was too high). Bid was as follows: Supply and Install 50 gal HWH $1350 Supply and Install 4and quot; flue piping $375 Supply and Install expansion tank $359 Supply and Install PRV valve $697 So a total of $2,781 + tax and permit. I found this to be WAY higher than I expected so called my usual plumber and he did all of the above for $1600 + permit fee. Bottom line, I have no complaints about Russo bros. service or customer service. There were quick and professional. However, if it is not an emergency service, I'd HIGHLY recommend that you get multiple bids since to make sure you aren't getting an inflated bid.

From the initial phone call, it was clear this was a plumbing service nothing short of first class. Extremely professional, very friendly, I felt as though my problem was first and foremost. Initially told someone would attend my problem within two to three hours, a follow-up call would inform me someone would be available in less than half an hour. Neat and courteous, initial attempt at snaking a kitchen sink and garbage disposal now backing up into the dishwasher failed. Back up assistance brought in with power snake. I was reminded from the start that this was, indeed, an 80 plus year pipe. Snaking with this machine would either be successful, fail or crack the pipe, the latter two necessitating replacement. An estimate for replacement was given upfront at $2000. Fortunately, the duo persevered and successfully opened this blockage after near four hours from start to finish. Cost = $735 The additional cost of $300 was for a frozen A/C unit to successfully thaw with return visit to add freon. I could not possibly be a more pleased customer. Anyone needing a plumber should stop reading all reviews and call Russo Brothers, you'll have nary a regret.

It was an excellent experience. The tech that came out was wonderful.
