terrible-they cancelled on me last minute.

Great service overall. I called in the morning and someone was by about 2 or 3pm. My only criticism is that the receptionist never actually called me back to confirm that they were dispatching someone. They just showed up. If I had called and used someone else or if I wasn't home, they would have made a call for nothing. That could have been a problem. As for the actual service, the technician was very quick. He had the problem diagnosed in 15 minutes and had the replacement part in his truck. Seemed very expensive for just replacing a capacitor but he assured me that it was a fair price.

The entire experience with Ron Jon Heating and Cooling was first rate. Stephanie from the Ron Jon office was great to work with in setting up the appointment and following up. The service that the technicians John and Ralph performed was excellent. Our heating system includes a complicated arrangement of pumps and valves which - when working properly - route hot water to the HVAC heating module and other heating zones in the house. John and Ralph took the time to examine the piping and valves, identify the flow of the system, observe the firing of the boiler, and isolate the specific pump that was not working correctly. They serviced the pump and got it working again, without having to replace it. It has been a challenge for me in the past to find technicians who had the patience and skill to work on this system, but John and Ralph from Ron Jon did a great job and I will use them again. High quality work done right, and at a reasonable price - you can't beat that.

We had three estimates and Ron was the only person who didn't try to upsell us. His estimate was the least expensive and he spent the most time describing what he would do and how. His army of workers descended upon the house and within minutes had sealed off the entire place to contain dust etc. They were courteous and polite. Rafael was the leader and he was great. Ron came to inspect everything at the end and even picked up a broom himself where he thought the guys could have been neater. He also explained things about the house and how to change the heat flow that we had no idea how to do. We asked for one old grill to be switched out after the fact and Rafael came as soon as possible. They will be our hvac team going forward.

It went very well. They came at the time they told us they would. Took the time to explain what needed to be done. Also, told us that we would need a new unit in the next year or two (this was something we had heard before) but did not pressure us to replace it at this time. Provided clear explanation of what was going wrong with the unit, but that it was not urgent to replace it at this time. Gave advice that it might be best to replace it during the off season, both to save some money and to make sure it can be done promptly. But, there was no "hard sell". The information presented was detailed and informative.

They were very busy and did not get back right away. I would consider them again.

Ron Jon came to service my air conditioning system on the date and time promised. They were prompt and professional. They put in a new filter, added coolant and sealed a leak. This was my first time using an Angie's list provider and was very pleased. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again.

At the beginning of the summer in NJ, when everyone turns on their central air for the first time and discovers an issue, we found Ron Jon. On what must have been a very busy day, Ron Jon was professional taking down our information and letting us know if they could service us that very day, which they amazingly did. Other places I called couldn't make appointments until half-way through the week. Ernie came out for the appointment to take a look at the unit, and was able to pinpoint the issue in the unit, and fully detailed out all of the options that we had (considering the unit is an older unit) as well as giving us the price points and pros and cons of each. Ernie was very professional and the turnaround was just phenomenal. Ernie replaced the broken condenser fan for us, let us know that if we had any issues to call and ask for him and he would handle it, and the unit has been working great since then.

My A/C house unit stopped cooling. Ron Jon came on the Memorial Day weekend - due to demand they did not charge me the usual overtime costs but worked with me to accommodate my schedule. Very professional; explained all that was discovered and what needed to be done; technician also checked for leaks in the system before filling this expensive coolant. He said he did not find anything -- the coolant needed to be replaced hence the price; he asked that I keep track to see if there is any dip in cooling which might indicate a leak that was not readily apparent and he would return to investigate further. Technician was respectful and I felt confident in his services. So far there has been no problem. I was very pleased - definitely recommend.

One of the owners came to look at our system. He was on-time and very professional. They provided a detailed breakdown of services and system options. Their final pricing was higher than other prices we received so we did not elect to use them but would certainly be open to using them in the future for other projects.

The estimate was done by Todd, one of the owners. He was prompt, professional, and very personable. He listened to all of my concerns about our current unit and brainstormed with me all the possible solutions to our problems until we found the one that would best fit the needs of my home and family. The office staff answered all of my questions completely and all calls were returned in a timely manner. We are waiting on permits so that everything can be installed. I do not anticipate any problems as this has been a good experience thus far.

No one returned my call for an estimate.

We solicited 3 bids to replace a 20-year old Hydro-Therm boiler. Comparing the bids was a bit challenging as no two estimates included the same boiler (Ron Jon provided 3 options, others provided 1 or 2). We selected Ron-Jon because of their Angie's List Rating and what we calculated to be the lowest installation cost for a high-quality unit. The Ron-Jon team arrived on time for the installation. The job took longer than expected but to the credit of the team, they stayed until 6 pm to complete the job. The team leader came back the next morning (at his suggestion and at the time promised)to check that the unit was working properly. I would definitely use Ron-Jon again for future heating projects. A top notch company.

I have been dealing with Ron Jon for ten years. Great company and good service.

I found him to be very professional. He suggested all the options from the most to least expensive. I did not feel pressured to pick one or to spend a lot of money, quite the opposite, the lower cost solution was the one that sounded the best. I am looking forward to recieving a proposal and barring anything unexpected I plan to go forward and use Ron/Jon in the future for my HVAC needs.

Excellent from start to finish, and he was very professional and neat too!

Our air conditioning wasn't working and after looking at Angie's List I called Ron Jon at 8:00 in the morning. They scheduled a technician to come by between 12 and 2 that day. He arrived at about 11:30 and diagnosed the problem and replaced the necessary part. Total bill was $125 for the house call, plus $40 for the part which was very reasonable. The technician was very polite, explaining what had happened, and was a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely use them again.

I was very happy with them. My overall experience with them went very well.

the unit is functioning. the work itself seems to be fine, although we currently arent using the a/c b/c it is wintertime. however the business office was often unresponsive to my phone calls. the job took a while to get on the calendar and my attempts to do so were frustrating. they would tell me that they would call me right back with a date and i would get no phone call. then i would call them back days later and it was as if they didnt know why i was calling. then they sent me a bill without the job even being completed. again the work itself seems like they did a nice job but the business office needs to be improved.

They were fine. They got back to us promptly and showed up on time. The work seems to have been performed adequately. I didn't have any complaints about them.

They were pretty reliable and they gave us options. We haven’t had any problems so far and I think the price was pretty good.

They were very nice and professional but I couldn’t afford it. I cannot point out anything in particular about them. They were professional and pleasant. They showed up on time. They gave me the estimate quickly and in a timely manner. They came out within two days of me calling them. So they came out quickly to give the estimate. I will certainly use their services again in the future.

Appointment was easy to make, service tech on time, very professional and provided written report.

They did a great job. Todd and Ray were extremely professional and responsive, explaining everything they did and answered all questions we had. They arrived on time and did the work in a timely manner. We were very pleased with their work.
