I reviewed this negative experience, at length, with your representative Sam on 7/26/18, expressing my complete dissatisfaction with Gold Medal Service. My phone conversation with him was recorded if you'd like the specifics. The only positive thing I can mention is that the Gold Medal Techs returned all monies paid to them after realizing how badly their company had messed up this service call (the techs were not the problem ~ the company was). A complete waste of my time - definitely would NOT recommend. If my recording with Sam is not available let me know & I'll forward the details.

The work was great. John the electrician was very nice. My big issue is that my first appointment had to be postponed, so I lost an afternoon. Also the price seemed a little on the high side to me.

The electrician was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. My issue was the pricing. The job was to replace 7 hard wired smoke detectors which I supplied. After reviewing the smoke detector locations, I was quoted a price of $1,000! That was ridiculous. When I told him no thank you, he reduced the price to $300. I agreed to the price and the job was completed to my satisfaction. I just got the feeling this company tries to rip off unsuspecting customers with grossly overpriced quotes. Won't be calling them again.

The pro was very professional and helpful. He went above and beyond. It was expensive, which is why the 4.5 but I really don't know how that compares to others. They did have to cancel the first time because they had an emergency and mine was not an emergency. They re-scheduled for the next week and were almost an hour past the specified time frame but the professional who did my work was completely a 5.0.

The work in the project was fine. The technician arrived on time and was neat and cordial. My issue with this vendor is the $$$. I was not aware that they charged the job by the "book time " and not on the time spent or actual time worked. The work that was to be done was at a vacation home so being at the house was a problem and getting a technician to come on a weekend. The job was moving a ceiling outlet box about 18 inches to center it over a table. The job took just over an hour, probably 75 minutes from the time the technician arrived to the time he left. The bill was $485 which I consider outrageous. To be fair, the pricing was explained when the technician arrived but at this time I was committed to this vendor and a lost Saturday. Gottcha! Before hiring this vendor, get the price upfront over the phone. I will not be calling this vendor again.

I would hired them again for my house . Very professional people . They did the job right the first time .

Timely and excellent service

The work was clearly explained and done in a timely manner. A lot of the paperwork is processed electronically to move things along. The electrician was very professional and friendly.

I was quoted a price for the job, then I said I had a $50.00 coupon. So when the job was completed a few days later, the price was the same. The guy danced all around it saying that price included the $50.00 coupon when it clearly didn't. I had to call the main office and they refunded me $50.00 on my credit card. Less

Overall seamless and very good

The electrician that performed my work seemed very knowledgeable and confident. He answered all my questions regarding my current problem and about my future projects. He also offered solutions to prevent centain problems . And with courtesy he performed additional tasks, I.e. installed light fixture, with charging. Thank you Brad for a job well done.

Ed did very professional job. Not only doing the job and also told me why. He is the perfection person and want to have the job done perfectly. Strong recommendation to rehire him.

Great job but very expensive.

We were having a hard time finding an electrician that would do a couple of small jobs and replace our attic fan. Gold Medal Service set an appointment to come give an estimate and they came well within the time period they specified. When the electrician came he gave us an estimate, but also said he could do the job that day. Within a couple of hours, everything was done. He even provided us a picture of the new attic fan on the roof to confirm that he cleaned up and put any shingles he moved back in place. It was a little more expensive than we expected, but for the great service, it was worth it. The electrician did tell us our panel was outdated and gave us a quote for replacing it, but he wasn't pushy about it. All in all they were great and would definitely use them again!

Contractor was very good punctual, courteous and patient. Took the time to troubleshoot the problem. Very knowledgeable.

While the service was good and the repair was completed in a very timely manner, the charge was quite high for an easy repair.
