They were replacing a chandelier that had been taken down because it didn't work properly. It was a complicated modern one with wire strands and glass bars and they were careful to handle it gingerly, measure it accurately and install it securely. I was very pleased with their work.

 + -1 moreTony has done lighting work for me for years. I've since moved into a new construction house and hired Tony to install all of my fixtures and ceiling fans. There were many fixtures and some electrical changes that I wanted to make, he came with a team of 3 the first visit, then with a partner the last 2, the work had to be split into a few visits because of parts and fixture delays. All of my lights and switches work perfectly and I am very satisfied. Tony also helps with advice, on hanging fixtures and placement and type of switches etc. He has tons of experience in lighting and it really helps to make decisions. They are also very personable and professional, it is a pleasure to have them working in my home. I will continue to use Tony as my electrician, and highly recommend him and his company.

However, when I was ready to pay him, I mentioned the Angie's List coupon that he didn't take off the bill and he said "I had to print it out" and I said "as mentioned over the phone my printer is out of order at this time", I did say we could apply it to the next job... but I feel that he should have given us the credit at the time he did the job. This makes me feel very uncomfortable.

He used specialty accessories on his drill to reduce sheet rock dust when drilling the new cutouts for the recessed lights and laser measuring to correctly align the sheet rock cutouts for the pendant lights. Tony also coordinated his work with our painting contractor and came back to our house on a second visit to install the new recessed lights and new pendants, once all of the sheet rock repairs an painting was completed. I observed Tony and his assistant as they worked and thought that they did high quality work and did not cut any corners.
Description of Work: We originally requested the services of Diamond Electric after we needed to repair a large crack in our kitchen ceiling sheet rock, which traversed a box style kitchen ceiling light fixture and electrical junction outlet. Tony, the owner of Diamond Electric came to our house for an assessment of the work required for the repair and we used this opportunity to discuss options to improve the lighting of our kitchen, given that we needed to repair our ceiling due to the damage. Tony suggested a number good design options, and we chose to add four new recessed lights and three new pendant lights over the kitchen island. This included all of the new wiring, ceiling cut outs, disconnection of the existing ceiling junction box located over the damaged ceiling, and addition of a dimmer switch, which required replacing a two gang switch receptacle in the wall, with a three gang receptacle, to accommodate the new dimmer control. We also decided to have Diamond Electric update four original recessed lights, with integrated LED and trim replacement fixtures, and repair three original recessed light fixtures located in another part of our house, which had developed defective temperature sensors, which caused the bulbs to turn off randomly when they heated up.

We also needed some minor electrical work to be done in other rooms in the house. (I describe replacing outlets as minor work but one of the outlets that was replaced actually contained loose wires that created a serious fire hazard!) I contacted Diamond Electric after reading so many positive reviews on Angie's List. My expectations were high but I was not disappointed. Anthony, the owner, and Orlando, his coworker, were very professional. They arrived on time and did their work without interruption until the job was complete. Description of Work: Some of my bathroom lights stopped working even though I had power in the bathroom. I contacted Diamond Electrical and they were prompt in getting back to me and scheduling a convenient appointment based on my work schedule. When they arrived at my home they put on the work booties so as to not get my floor dirty from the snow outside. I showed them where the problem was and they were able to troubleshoot it immediately. They fixed the lights and cleaned up afterwards.

 + -1 moreTony quickly scheduled an appointment for 8 AM on Saturday to install a new coaxial cable outlet. He arrived promptly at 8AM with some slick tools that made fast work of the installation. A neat rectangular cutout was made in the panel wall and then he used a VERY long drill bit threaded into the newly created hole in the wall to drill a hole in the basment ceiling. The coaxial cable was attached to the drill be and quickly pulled out of the wall opening. Using a small broom & dust pan, Tony cleaned up what little dust was generated cutting the hole in the wall and made sure the cable & internet was still functioning before leaving. I wish I had called him for the last coaxial cable outlet I needed rather than Comcast. The Comcast guy arrived without a drill so he asked me for mine and then complained because my drill was corded. Then he proceeded to drill a hole up through the hardwood floor a good 2 inches away from the baseboard into the wrong bedroom ! I could have made a similar mess of the job myself for free. I called Comcast expecting a professional job. BIG MISTAKE. In comparison Tony knew what he was doing and I couldn't have been happier with the job. I would definitely call him for future work.

He introduced himself and his helper right away, both were very friendly They got right to the job, and finished in a timely matter, and cleaned up before they left. Tony explain exactly what he was going to do, and new exactly how to correct the problem. The cost was $295.00 less the Angie List $25.00 coupon for first time service for a total of $ 270.00. YES I would call him back . EXCELLENT WORK My personal general statement nothing against DIAMOND ELECTRICAL SERVICES, How do you do the cost is correct or not, is there a general Cost menu to compare cost for ANY KIND of work a contractor does? NO, I guess you have to judge on your own and see if the cost is affordable or not.
