We can’t recommend this company enough! We replaced 17 windows, as well as the front doors and French patio doors - the whole process was smooth and transparent start to finish, with the owner Lenny personally supervising the job, not rushing anywhere and addressing all our questions on the spot with patience. The windows and doors look stunning, are energy star, easy to operate and are exactly the aesthetic we were looking for, at a price we found very reasonable after getting many many quotes. We can tell our AC is not blasting anymore around the clock. It was also amazing to see how good of a relationship Lenny has with his suppliers. They did a fantastic job and we couldn’t be happier with the results! Very grateful for a stress-free experience with such a big project. Thank you!

Excellent window looks great, worked with us through the long process to provide what was required to get approvals needed through the HOA. Friendly helpful and personable, a great job!! Highly recommend.

Lenny responds quickly and also answers questions via email. He brought out two sample windows and showed me the different features and pictures. It took them 2 weeks to get the windows and installation was done in about 6 hours. Lenny was on the job for about 3-4 hours. The installer (George) was very professional, clean and seemed to pay attention to detail. I had received one quote from another company that was lower, but they were not very professional and used a different window manufacturer. Overall, really pleased with this company and will use them again.

After searching Angie's list for replacement storm doors, I called American General. Lenny came out promptly and showed me what his company could do to meet my needs. Lenny was also very prompt with his estimates which included all costs. Throughout the time from order to delivery , Lenny always kept me in loop. On the day of delivery and installation, George and Fidel did a great job. Lenny was on the job as well to make sure all things went smoothly. Now that the doors are installed, the house looks great!! I love my self storing screen and storm doors. The Patio doors have mimi blinds in between the panes of glass. It is such a great look both inside and out. Thanks American General for making the process so easy.

This company is excellent, period. Their owner Lenny came by to our house at 7pm and stayed late to fix a door problem. A seemingly stuck door that wouldn't budge seemed like an easy problem, but it was more complex. Lenny figured it out and made it slide for the 1st time in 10 years. We couldn't be happier. We will absolutely use him on future projects since they also do renovations, decks, pavers and siding.

Lenny Burke was a pleasure to work with from the initial quote to the final day. He took an extra trip to the house to ensure the measurements were correct. He and his workers were immaculate - I think my basement is cleaner after they left than before they got there. The quality of the windows is outstanding. We considered glass-block, but these the same price, are exolite (a clear, hard plastic for safety) and look like the high-quality windows they are. They fit with the dutch colonial look of the house perfectly. We initially got a quote for more windows and couldn't afford to do them all at once, so will definitely be going back to Lenny & American General to finish our basement and move on to the upstairs. I also really appreciated that Lenny didn't give us a hard time about reducing our order after we got the quote.

Lenny has been great from the beginning of the introduction, presentation and installation. No pressure salesman, gives his best estimate, leaves it up to you. Installation day, employees were nice and neat... Would recommend you giving him a chance to earn your business!

It went great - job was done exactly as promised, at the price that was agreed upon, and working with Lenny Berk, the company owner, is a pleasure. I tend to ask a lot of questions before I have a job done, and Lenny is not only knowledgeable but extremely patient as well. I trust Lenny completely both as a person and as a professional and I know I will use his company's services again.

Their attention to detail and clean-up after completing the work earns applause. Owner (Lenny Berk) is totally hands-on -- a terrific attribute with a terrific attitude. In other words, you are speaking directly with the boss and decision-maker. The materials used were of the highest quality. The workmen were job-focused and courteous. American General Windows & Renovation is a "turn-key" operation. All in all, I was delighted with their overall operation and highly recommend them.

Lenny Berk, the owner, gives the estimate and is there during the entire job. He is really great - very responsive, professional, thorough, a true delight to work with. His pricing is good, he sells only quality products, and his service beats all. He does not badmouth previous contractors who installed your old windows, even when they deserve it! He delivers on time, and his workers show much respect for your house and belongings. They protect your carpet and your furniture during the job. Lenny goes way out of his way to make sure he keeps his word. On a recent job, at my request, he personally removed all of our alarm connections from the old windows that were going to be trashed. He follows up on all complaints and tries very hard to keep the customer happy. I have dealt with many contractors over the years and none is as good to deal with as Lenny. I highly recommend him.
