The initial work that he did was phenomenal. However, I have two major issues with the work that was done. First, when they started the work, one of the crew members stepped on the well pipe cap and cracked it. That crack has caused my well pipe to leak for about a year now and they still have not bothered to fix it. Secondly, the service line under my kitchen sink was not installed correctly and has been leaking under the cabinet and under the kitchen floor. This has caused the kitchen floor to warp and buckle. I called A & S Jr LLC and he told me that the plumber he hired lived two and a half hours away and would have to be paid a whole days wage to show up. He then told me that he could have a handyman come over sooner but never set up a date for me. I have been calling him back and forth for six months to get someone out and look at the service line. When the service provider finally showed up and looked at the leak, he scheduled the plumber to come out a week later. The plumber told me that it was not his fault that the service line was leaking and that he would not fix it. I called the A & S Jr LLC back and he told me just to have my home owner’s insurance cover the damage. I have been calling this guy again and again to come out and fix my floor, the water damage, and my well but he will not answer his messages and when I call his cell he sends it straight to voicemail. All I want is for the damage to be repaired since they are the ones that caused it.

I renewed my membership at Angie?s List this month specifically to comment on my recent and very troubling experience with this company. I had worked with Anthony?s Home Improvements in the past and was a little weary of his performance, but needed some small things done at my rental property fairly quickly. It was work appropriate for a handyman. The job essentially was to paint three walls of a single bedroom, sheetrocking two of them, and installing three doors (one new), all in areas that already were framed and had had doors. The total job was less than $2,500 (I supplied all materials except one steel door), and we had an oral contract that the work would be completed in 30 days by which time I expected to have new tenants. SIXTY DAYS LATER NOTHING WAS DONE. He kept sending me emails saying the work would be done 'in a few days' or 'the next week.' Never happened. Excuses ranged from he was doing other jobs to his wife's aunt died! His delays cost me rental income. On the 61st day Anthony hurt his arm (this was legitimate), but he told me he would not hire anyone else to do the work. I threatened litigation, so he finally finished the work NINETY DAYS AFTER THE CONTRACT WAS WRITTEN AND AFTER WE HAD AN ORAL AGREEMENT TO A 30 DAY COMPLETION. In addition to the delays (one excuse after another), Anthony attempted to do a BAIT AND SWITCH for the walls needing sheetrocking, suggesting that I put paneling up, instead, but telling me that the cost of the materials would equal the savings in the labor! I?ve worked with a lot of contractors in the past, so I knew this was not true. If you ever consider using this contractor, BEWARE.
