Vitacco Tile LLC

When I contacted John to give us an estimate on a complete bathroom renovation, he came over that very same day to take a look. His estimate turned out to be the most reasonable of the three we got and he had good suggestions and was open to my ideas. John is a general contractor and he's also a tile guy; he has a team of plumbers and electricians who work with him. We hired him and work began just when he said it would. I was amazed that our entire bathroom could be completely ripped out in just one day, but it was. John and his assistant Scott are genuinely nice, friendly guys who are pleasant to interact with, kind to our children, and not intrusive to have around the house: they are careful to limit mess and dust with plastic sheeting and drop cloths and they do a good job cleaning up the mess they do make (Scott is especially good at vacuuming and neatening things up!) John was ready with a list of places I could look for things I needed to buy such as fixtures and tile and he had contacts at all those stores. He was a big help when I couldn't seem to find tile I liked, providing ideas and opinions on my choices and, when I did finally choose something, mocking up layouts with it on the floor so I could decide how I wanted it. Work progressed steadily, John and his subcontractors were always there when they said they would be, and when there was a minor glitch, they always fixed or reworked things quickly. For instance, one side of our bathroom has a fairly low, sloping ceiling that caused a fair amount of rethinking when it came to what medicine cabinets and sconces we could use and how they could be arranged and where things like outlets and backsplashes should go, but John persevered even though it wasn't easy, giving me good ideas and advice until we found a way to do things that was both to my liking and doable by him. He was always responsive by phone or text when I contacted him, especially when I needed quick advice or hand-holding. He was also open to my needs (having lived with an outdated bathroom that was short on both lighting and storage, I wanted tons of both in our new bathroom, and John was good about advising me on this). Our bathroom is done now and it looks and feels just wonderful--I wish our whole house could look this nice!

Did not respond to phone calls or follow-ups. Clearly he didn't think the job was worth his time.

John's work on both projects was excellent as was his attention to detail. John and his co-worker Scott, both demonstrated a real professionalism and really cared about the project. As stated in the backsplash overview, John brought the tile up a narrow channel on either side of the kitchen window. Even though the channel was less than 2" wide, John continued the grout line from the main field. This was difficult but really made the job look perfect. Plus he was punctual and polite. We would definitely use John again and would recommend him to anyone.

Joe and his assistant Scott proved to be an excellent choice from theAngies list roster.I would recommend , highly ,Joes company, Vitacco Tile LLC, to anyonelooking for a professionally done tiling job.Joe was always on time and put in a full days work. John Vitacco met with me within two days of my initial inquiry. He submitted a detailed estimate to me promptly. Gave me a start date and stated the job would be completed within 4 weeks. He arrived at his start date and indeed was finished with the project within the four weeks stated. No surprises. Plumbing and electrical contractors all arrived and performed their duties when promised. John did a beautiful job from start to finish! The tile is exactly as I had pictured it, just beautiful! Walls and new trim painted professionally as well. Along the way, John pointed out various little things, new metal covering for radiator, saddle for entrance to the room, etc. which he gladly picked up and installed for me. Saved me alot of running around, which was truly appreciated. I would occasionally leave John and his worker, Scott, alone in my house without any qualms whatsoever. They removed all debris, and left the room clean each day, no tripping over anything. All workers were professional, polite, and had a great sense of humor. All very important traits in my book! The bathroom is beautiful! I would hire John and his team again in a heartbeat!

John was very professional and easy to work with throughout the process. When he came to provide an estimate he was on time and courteous. He listened to our needs and discussed our options. He promptly provided us a detailed estimate within a couple of days. Once we decided to hire him, he walked us through all of the steps in the remodel process and the timeline for it. During the remodel John and his crew were very professional, courteous and dependable. They did a great job of transforming my outdated bathroom. The tilework is tremendous and i appreciated his eye for details. He takes great pride in his work and you can see it in the final results. i would highly recommend him for another job.

Overall, the experiences was great. John was professional throughout the entire process and did the work himself for the most part (he had help on the first day to put up the drywall). He gave me a fair price and the workmanship was good. He really wanted to make sure the project looked nice at the end and paid attention to details throughout. I am happy with the finished product and am glad I hired John to do my job. I have an older home, so I'm sure I'll be calling him up for future jobs!

I think they did a beautiful job. I have had this kind of work done before when really it ends up looking messier than before it was started; it looks repaired. This ended up looking very nice and I have been very happy with it. The owner was very personable and responsive to what I was asking for. I will use them again in the future.

John was trustworthy, proffessional, and courteous. We shopped around for cheaper providers, but were so happy pleased we did not go with anyone. Vitacco Tile told us what needed to be done, gave a fair price, and we are in love with the work performed.

John let me know every step of the way what to expect and what to do. He was always prompt and courteous. Everyone that he brought in to complete my bathroom was also excellent. John is extremely creative, exact and a perfectionist. My bathroom is gorgeous and I am planning on remodeling my main bathroom next Spring. John will be doing that along with my kitchen floors and basement. I will never use anyone else for any home remodeling needs. He is truly a professional as well as an honest, caring businessman committed to making his customer's happy. This was the first time in my life where doing a home project such as this was stress-free, smooth and well-organized. I never had to worry about a thing. John also designed and hand crafted a special radiator cover for my heater. I can't say enough good things about him, his workers or his work. I definatley reccommend him for all your home needs! There is no reason to search any further... OH, and his prices were great. He worked within my budget. I had many estimates and not one came close to what I was really able to afford. John worked with me and was able to comply with my requests. He is truly an asset . I have not only gained an honest contractor, but also a friend. Thank you John! I love my bathroom...

John didn't remodel my kitchen but he installed my backsplash. He and his guy did a great job. I am very pleased with it. John and his guy were very friendly, nice, professional and punctual. He was very easy to deal with. He was knowledgeable of what he was doing. I am planning to renovate my bathroom next year. I haven't found anyone to remodel my bathroom yet. So, I am happy to know that John does full bathroom remolding too because I don't have to search further. Plus, he lives next town. I spoke with John a little bit about what I want. He said he will work with me on this project so I am looking forward to it.

The day following my email via Angie's list Vitacco Tile contacted us to discuss the job and set up and appointment on 9/9/11 to meet and for the free estimate. John Vitacco (owner) met with us on the scheduled day and time to review the job and discuss our options, we appreciated that he took the time to talk to us and listened to our concerns while patiently answering all of our questions. That evening (as promised) John sent us an email containing attachments of the estimates for our review. My husband and I were originally going to get a few estimates , but after meeting and speaking with John Vitacco and reviewing the estimates we decided to accept the estimate which included upgrading the old, leaking tub/shower plumbing - for this portion of the job John recommend and brought in JES Plumbing (JES was also professional, easy to work with, dependable and accountable and did a really good job) We scheduled a start date of 9/15/2011 with completion on 9/17/11. John Vitacco kept in touch with us as well as called us on 9/14 to ask if we had any questinos and confirm that they could start on 9./15. Vitacco tile and JES Plunbing arrived as scheduled and began the work. JES completed his portin that same afternoon. Vitacco Tile retuned the following morning, as originally scheduled, to complete the process of putting up the wall and tiles and n the third morning John Vitacco completed all the grouting. The gentlemen were profession, curteous and dependable and the completed work looks really good! We will definitely use these gentlemen for any future jobs that we may have and we will recommend them to our friends and relatives!

Mr. John Vitacco is professional, reliable, and reasonably (competitively) priced. He wrote up a detailed proposal, then a contract, and replacement work in a timely manner. He communicates via e-mail and cell phone very promptly. The quality of the work is high.

He was friendly & professional and did a great job. We could not be more pleased with the results.

John & his crew were very professional completing the project both on time and within budget, We were extremely impressed as to how creative John was with the tiling and how clean they were after each day's work. I would recommend them highly and we will be using Vitacco for an additional home project.

Excellent service and attention detail. John's work looks beautiful. He pays careful attention to the details like how the tiling joins wall molding, door jams, and where tile may meet carpet. He was a pleasure to deal with, giving a clear estimate at his initial visit and bringing up concerns/details that we had not considered. He is polite, courteous and personable. He has a very calm disposition, a very nice guy. He keeps his appointments, communicates clearly throughout the process, is easily reached by telephone and e-mail, shows up on time and completes the work as promised in a timely fashion. Very pleased with his work and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

He was more expensive than somebody else. That is why I didn't use him. I decided to have him come out for an estimate because I got his name from Angie's List and other people were satisfied with his work. Nothing struck me out of the ordinary about him. I also called him because he was close by. He was in the next town. He ended up being a lot more money. He seemed knowledgeable about what he was going to do. The only reason I didn't use him was because of his price. He was pretty quick on responsiveness. He was punctual. I would consider using him in the future if his price was in line.

Bottomline, John's work is exceptional and we recommend him without the slightest reservation. Call him, you'll be very happy you did.

In the middle of a kitchen remodel, my contractor decided to gouge me for the demo and install of my new flooring. I decided to find someone else to do the work and after reading John's excellent reviews on Angie's List, I contacted him to do the work for me. I am so glad I did. John was punctual and professional. The job took 3 days; one for the wonderboard, one for laying the tile and one for grout. He and his assistant carefully cleaned up after themselves each day. He was careful with the wood floor that meets the new ceramic floor to make sure that it wasn't damaged during the work. I wanted the ceramic floor in my kitchen to be at the same level as the oak floor in my dining room as I was combining rooms and John worked to make that happen. He carefully laid out the 2 tile pattern I had requested and he balanced the cuts on all sides to make sure the pattern would still look good once the cabinets were in place. The work that John did exceeded my expectations. My contractors saw the floor after it was finished and remarked how nice it looked. It would be wonderful if all jobs done by a contractor were as well done and went as smoothly as this did.

This was my first experience using Angie's list, and I have become a true believer. John Vitacco responded promptly to my call and came for an appraisal the same day. We had experienced a small waterfall of a leak in our dining room which is directly under the upstairs bath. A plumber we called in told us we didn't have a plumbing issue, but a grout problem, and recommended we call in a tile man. We got Vitacco Tile from Angie's list and John came to check out the situation. When he pulled a loose strip of caulk from the edge of the bathtub, a row of tiles came with it. John discovered that several rows of tiles had no more backing to them, probably due to decades of water seepage (the bathroom was done in the 1960's). The scope of the job escalated from a re-grouting of the tub area (estimate $300) to tile removal, understructure replacement and re-tiling of the affected area, caulking and grouting (estimate up to $1200). The job took three days including a rain day when no work was possible, and the entire cost was only $800. John was prompt, professional, courteous, neat and a cat lover (we have six!). I recommend him without reservation, and while no homeowner looks forward to house repairs, I am confident that when the need arises, Angie's list will help us find more service providers as excellent as John.

Our kitchen had old linoleum floors that were in terrible condition. I demolished the floor in hopes of finding intact tongue and groove flooring underneath, as in the rest of our 1918 Craftsman home. What I found, however, was a patchwork of plywood, concrete from an old hearth, and a small section of hardwood, which I could not help but nickname "Frankenfloor." I contacted John Vitacco based on his solid Angie's List ratings, and he was able to start the job almost immediately. In his work, John was professional, prompt, friendly, very reasonably priced, and creative in his solutions to some of the problems that existed in our floor. He always showed up on time, and remained in budget for the project, and provided tips for other parts of the kitchen that will help me with some of the DIY work. He turned a gigantic mess into beautiful new tile floor. We could not be happier with his work. Thank you, John!

(03/23/2010) John was great. He was professional, polite and friendly. He seemed to know a lot about what he does. He was nice enough to take the switch plates off the wall because the previous owner had put bead board there, which obviously is a bad thing to have in the kitchen. He took the switch plates off to make sure that we would not have to have additional electrical work done. He was great and I was really impressed. He was very responsive. UPDATE (05/11/2010) He did AMAZING work! Besides being incredibly competent and professional, he was friendly, courteous, and did a fabulous job making sure everything was clean each day before he left. I would highly, highly recommend him, even over some of the other companies listed here that also received high ratings. Some of the folks I attempted to contact via Angie's List didn't even show up when they were supposed to, and that was just to take measurements for the estimate. We will be using John for ALL of our future tile work--seriously, if you want the job done right and done well, call John.

He laid the new floor and was cool/calm and did a beautiful job! He came at exactly the times he promised! I had such a good feeling that he knew what he was doing!!! He worked so cleanly & efficiently! He is absolutely wonderful!!!!
