DAVE'S APPLIANCE REPAIR

Dave was great from start to finish, which happened to be all in the same day. I was concerned the compressor had burned out, and the frige would have to be replaced, but in our initial phone call Dave encouraged me to give it a chance. From that initial conversation on, Dave did everything he said he would. He said he get to the job that afternoon and would call 20 minutes before he arrived so that I would not have to sit around the house waiting. Dave called at 3:40, and was knocking on my door at 4:00. On arrival, he got right to work taking apart the freezer and explaining everything he was seeing as I sat eating the melting ice cream. Dave said he would try to save me cash where he could, and when he found the problems he offered solutions at different price points, letting me know where I could save. For example, I was able to save $60 by defrosting the coils and fins with my wife's hair dryer instead of having him do it with his steamer. In the end, just like Dave predicted, it was not the compressor, and the refrigerator is back up and running for a lot less than a new unit.

Dave returned my inquiry with a phone call the same day. While it turns out I am outside his service area, he did ask me about the problems I was experiencing with my Wolf stovetop and KitchenAid dishwasher. He then walked me through possible trouble-shooting tips over the phone, thereby resolving BOTH of my issues and eliminating the need for a service call at all! He was helpful, friendly, easy to understand, and accurate. Clearly willing to help even though it wouldn't result in a fee. Someone I would highly recommend using.

Dave was at my house on time and got right to work. The freezer had to be empty for him to work and he unloaded the contents into the cooler. Dave vacuumed under the refrigerator since the buildup of dog hair, etc. prevented cooling of circulated liquid. There was a sheet of ice built up under the freezer, which he removed. Once all of the ice and water was removed, Dave made sure the freezer was working. He then put all of the contents of the cooler back in the freezer! Yes, I will definitely call Dave again when services are needed.

Dave was great. He responded almost immediately & arrived in 40 mins. He got the washer going & explained my options for the future. He was really informative & professional. I would definitely use him again & recommend him.

Dave called me back, and I told him of my clogged/frozen water line in my fridge. Hesaid that 95% of the time it was frozen and to turn off the refrigerator and defrost the line. That solved the problem and there was no need for a costly service call

1st off, he declined to give us posted coupon on Angie's list "Free service call with repair for Angie's List members only ($70.00 value!)" and blamed Angie's list. We were in a bund and moved forward anyway. He took all the specs and I clearly explained what the problem was after much research. He came out empty handed, looked into the fridge and repeated exactly what we had already determined was the issue; also let me know he didn't have the parts. SOOO, why did you come out?? Should you not have gotten the parts to do the repair as opposed to just collecting a check for visiting and tellijng me to go to PSE&G? We didn't post about it for so long until we noticed that several others locally were being given the same scam. People talk, and he is a complete sham. Do yourself a favor and just call PSE&G yourself and save your money. He will not honor the Angie's coupon and will not fix the issue either. On a sidenote --- if Dave needs someone to help him visit houses and pick up checks, my daughter can help and do just as good of a job.

Dave's appliance came and diagnosed the problem, the unit was shot and not worth repairing.

My freezer wasn't working correctly. It was forming blocks of ice in the freezer and there was frost all over my food and the refrigerator/freezer kept making all of these noises. When Dave came the first time to look at the problem, he melted all of the ice, cleared the fan and fixed the hose. The freezer was fine for about 2 weeks and the same problem came back. I called him and he came to look at my freezer and said that the fan needed to be changed. He told me that he would call me when the fan came in because he had to order it. He called me the next day and then came today to install it. Dave always returned my phone calls in a prompt fashion, explained everything he did, was respectful of my things and was always professional but friendly. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and would definitely use his services again.

Very happy with he work. He had to come twice to fix the ice maker because of the nature of the electronics involved. Came back second time within the 24 hrs we realized it wasn't working...wanting to make sure it was fixed before he headed away on vacation!

They were very good to work with. They were professional and they were clean on the job. They showed up on time. They did not steal from me and they were in and out.

Dave was excellent! I e-mailed him on a Thursday evening; he responded and told me to call him up until 11PM that night. We spoke at 9:00 PM, and he was at my door by 9:00 AM Saturday. He did an excellent job with my washing machine, explaining everything he was doing, and he was very fair in price. I highly recommend him!

Pleasant, polite and honest. He told me that it would be better to get a new washing machine then repair the one that I had. He is not in the business of selling washing machine. I was very impressed.

Called Dave early on a Monday morning to come look at a refrigerator that was not cooling, and he gave me a two hour time frame to arrive later that same morning. Arrived within the time promised, quickly diagnosed that the compressor was not starting. Took a look at the compressor and offered one possible solution of installing a starter kit. Quoted price was about $250, with a promise that if it didn't work he could remove the part and would only charge $100 for the service call and labor. Went ahead with this repair, which only took about 5 minutes, and it is working well so far. Dave was prompt in responding to my call and punctual in arriving, and was friendly and professional the whole time. My only complaint is the price charged. Given the price quoted for removing the part if it did not work, the part charge was about $150 for a Supco 3 n 1 Start Relay, which I see sells for around $20 or less. I wish he was not charging such a premium over the real part prices. I would recommend him based upon quick response and quality of service, with the caveat that you might be paying a bit too much for a repair.

Everything about this went well. Dave was responsive, reasonably priced, did the repair on the spot, and we were back in business with our older oven. Would not hesitate to use again or to recommend. All service should be this good!
