I placed a service call for my gas clothes dryer, and was pleasantly surprised when Dave returned my call within 15 minutes. After I described the problem, he said he'd be able to stop by that afternoon. He wanted to come over as soon as possible, as he was going to be unavailable for approx. 4 days. He arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and identified the problem pretty quickly. He ran the dryer for a few moments and all was in working order. It was a simple fix, and I was able to wash/dry a load once he left. I was very satisfied with the service and will call on him again for future appliance repairs.

We had been away for a long vacation and when we got back, we heard our refrigerator's freezer staying on almost all the time without shutting off. Inside the freezer, what looked like snow had built up under the ice dispenser and into the shute on the freezer door where the ice drops down to the outside. The temperature was 30 degrees below zero, and would not go up when we moved the temp dial to a warmer setting. When I called Dave's phone number, I got his recording that said something like "This is not an ordinary answering machine. I monitor it and I will call you back within 15 to 20 minutes." To my amazement, he really did call back, in about 10 minutes. Even more surprising, he actually gave me some tips on the phone of things I could check that might avoid having him to come to do a repair. Unfortunately, the tips didn't apply, so he said he'd come by that very same afternoon--which he did. He immediately saw that the problem was an ice build-up that kept the ice door flap open. He taped up the flap and told me I'd have to move all the food out of the frig and freezer (I have another refrigerator in my garage) and leave it shut off for a full 24 hours so the ice back-up in hidden areas of the freezer could melt. We did that. Sad to say, when we moved all the food back in, the freezer still kept running and brought the temp back down to 30 below. I called Dave again and gave him the info he asked for about the model and serial number of the frig so he could order a new thermostat. He offered to split the price for quick shipping, which was very nice of him. When it arrived, he came over that day and installed it. (Cost for the first visit was $96; the second visit plus new thermostat, 1/2 of postage, and his work time was $267.) Even with the new thermostat, the freezer and refrigerator compartments are still not consistely keeping at the right temperature, but we've decided just to use it as is and not put any more money into an appliance that's 13 years old. I do think that Dave did everything possible to fix it. He was more diligent and responsive than any other repair person I've dealt with. I'd absolutely call him again.

He showed up on time and he told me that didn't make sense to follow up or repair the ice maker. He didn't work on anything but came out and evaluated the machine. He came on time and was ready to do work. I may possibly use him in the future. I used Dave again to fix a noise in my stove. He showed up on time after returning my call promptly. He is a nice guy. A bit pricey and he did not give me the Angie's discount even though I mentioned that I got him through Angies. Perhaps I will discuss this with him next time.

The job went very quickly and I used the dishwasher after Dave left. There was no leakage and the dishwasher worked perfectly. As usual, he was on time for the appointment. He explains what needs to be done and completes his job on a timely basis. I will always call him for any appliance problems.

I cleaned the pump and hoses using Dave's advice. It was reassuring that he could tell me what to do as I enjoy keeping repair costs to a minimum. Although my fix did not work,at least I know what I am looking at for a repair. Dave is A+++

He found the problem immediately and made the repair. Dave was professional and offered an explanation of the problem and how not to experience the same problem in the future.

Dave was a pleasure to deal with on all levels. He responded promptly to my call and showed up the next morning right on time -- actually a few minutes early! The filter was really stuck in there, but Dave persisted and got it out w/no damage to the housing of the filter. He was pleasant, efficient, and knowledgeable about American appliances. His price was fair. I would use him again and again, and I highly recommend him. It's not often that one finds honest and responsive repair people these days. Bravo, Dave!

Everything went perfectly. Dave was 5 minutes early for the appointment, explained what he was going to do, completed the tasks, and left no mess upon completion of project. I would definitely recommend him for appliance repair. He was local too!

He kept to his quote despite finding that the part he needed to install (a bake igniter) was a bit more expensive. I appreciated his promptness and professionalism and insisted that I pay the actual cost. While he was there, I mentioned another problem with one of the burners. He inspected it and noticed a crack in the porcelain piece that is critical to the ignition. He cautioned that although he would try to just replace that piece, they may only sell complete burner units. He came back with the new burner, again on a Saturday, and installed the new unit. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Work was fast, professional and neat. I am most impressed with Dave's knowledge of appliances and honesty of letting you know if something is worth repairing or replacing. If it needs replacement he will give you some tips on brands etc. - who knows better than a repair person! I especially appreciate his very prompt service - the last time I called him for my dryer he arrived 20 minutes later! This time I asked him to come the next day and he asked about my availability - setting a time that worked well for me and was here at exactly the time specified!
