Dave responded to the message left on his voicemail within minutes. He was available on the same day that we called. Arrived at the house exactly on time for the appointment; quickly found the problem with the leaky dishwasher, and replaced a faulty valve. Dave had the manufacturer's replacement part with him. All work took less than an hour; only one visit needed.

Dave called right away and came over the same day. He was right on time and fixed dryer- no hassle.

Although he had other jobs lined up, he was able to fit me in within 3 hours of initial call and kept in touch by phone several times to narrow down the window of his arrival at my job. A ++ for Responsiveness, Punctuality and Professionalism. There can be several relatively inexpensive remedies for the problem we were having. We needed to know whether the refrigerator was "worth" fixing. Dave was able to quickly determine that the heater needed to be replaced and gave me a price for doing that. Because there were other issues with ice/water dispenser that would have required replacing an expensive circuit board, Dave correctly advised me to consider replacing the refrigerator. The estimated cost for all parts would have been between $700-$750. I was able to buy a new refrigerator (essentially same make and model) on sale for $809 (free delivery and take-away). His advice led us to a "no- brainer decision" once we had the facts! We appreciated not only his professional advice but his quick-thinking in setting the controls in the freezer to act as a refrigerator for a day or two so that food would not spoil. Thanks to Dave's prompt arrival, diagnosis, and cost-benefit analysis of repair, my mother will have her new refrigerator delivered tomorrow. I would have no hesitation to call on him again.

Dave called back within 15 minutes of my message, as promised. I explained on my late afternoon message that it was not a rush .. We had already put the at-risk food into our downstairs refrigerator. The thermostat was behaving erratically. He arrived the next day, even earlier than the time promised. Less time waiting is always appreciated. He assessed the issue, gave me a full description of the problem, and ordered the part, which he installed the next day. He is very conscious of your time and on each visit, he called ahead to say when he would be arriving. His price was reasonable and he was very easy to do business with. We will call him back for any future repairs to our large appliances. Highly recommended!

This was my most positive experience with an appliance repair. I called Dave and 40 minute later he was at my house. He quickly figured out the issue with the dryer and fixed it in less than an hour. He also took the time to tell me what led to the problem originally and how to avoid it. Reasonable price, nice guy, quick service. Really, could not ask for anything more.

Dave was terrific! As the owner of his business, he answered his phone the first time I called him. He asked me several specific questions so as to begin the diagnostic process over the phone. You see, Dave is not only the owner, but, with over 25 years of first-hand experience, he actually does the work himself. Although he was already booked solid with appointments, he offered to squeeze me in and performed all repairs the very next afternoon. Specifically, Dave melted down the Ice-Maker tube, removed the Ice-Maker, cleared the Ice-Maker line and installed a new Ice-Maker valve. The Ice-Maker is working perfectly and, equally important, the newly installed Ice-Maker valve is NO LONGER leaking...everything is working PERFECTLY! I would definitely have Dave work on my appliances in the future!!!

I called Dave to discuss a problem that I was having with my tenants washing machine. Dave was very knowledgeable and through discussing with him what my tenants told me, he said that it was not a normal complaint. We figured out that the tenant is most like overloading the washer and causing it to go off balance shutting it off in the middle of a cycle. I couldn't be more grateful for his advice and helping me solve this problem, rather than coming for a service call and be charged for the same thing. Just for this fact alone if I ever have another issue I will be sure to give him a call.

I logged on to Angie's List 3.5 hours ago, and being Saturday, was hoping to leave a message with a repair service about our dryer that had stopped working. My dryer is currently drying a load of clothes and doing so much quieter than it used to. We moved into this house a month ago and assumed we'd have to buy a new dryer as this one is quite old. So I was not surprised when my husband told me it wasn't working. When I called Dave's Appliance Repair at 10AM, Dave himself answered and said he would be here before 12:30. He arrived at 11:30AM. When he saw our old Kenmore he said "This is a great machine, this is the one I have, don't replace it." He quickly found that the belt was broken and installed a new one. He started the machine and asked "Does it always make this noise?" and I said yes, I figured it was because it was old. He said "It shouldn't sound like that, I can't leave it like this" and took the machine apart again. He found the rollers needed to be replaced, and did that as well. When he started it again I couldn't believe how quiet it was! He said "Yes, we're actually going to buy a new washer today, but not the dryer." Thanks to his professional opinion I feel no need to buy a new one either, saving us time and money. Dave was professional, prompt, efficient, knowledgable, very reasonably priced, and friendly. We will absolutely be calling him in he future if necessary and I highly recommend his services.

It went very well.I installed a igniter in my kitchen stove,but was not able to complete the installation due to injury,slipping on icy sidewalk.So I required professional help. I would recommend this person highly/

I found Dave's Appliance Service on Angie List with good referrals. I called him Friday afternoon and got his answering machine which said that he would call back within 15 minutes. I received his call in less than ten minutes and explained the problem. We agreed on a 1:00PM Monday appointment. He told me to have the dryer running for at least 30-45 minutes prior to his arrival to aid his diagnosis. He arrived on time, checked that the dryer wasn't heating as it should, listened to the dryer as it ran and told me what the problem was. He took the covers off the dryer, went out to his truck to get new burner coils and installed them. Took about 45 minuets or so. Very professional and experienced, Dave has been doing this for some 30 years and I will certainly call Dave again if I need a large appliance repair and would certainly recommend Dave's Appliance Service to friends or relatives.

I spoke with dave regarding an issue with a microwave and dishwasher. He doesn't service microwaves any longer but was extremely willing to offer his advice which was very helpful. I alos questioned him as regards a problem with my dishwasher's door spring. Again he was very willing to offer advice, and I will most likely have him do the repair if I cannot easily do it myself. dave couldn't have been more responsive, professional, and courteous. He obviously is a gentleman of integrity and skill. Would not hesitate to use him in the future.

Called Dave at 9:15am and he was her by 2:00pm. Our dryer had no heat and he pinpointed the problem and explained to me why it wasn't working and what repair needed to be made. He gave me an estimate prior to the repair, went to this truck and got the part, installed it and it is now working. From start to finish it was a pleasure to deal with Dave...two thumbs up.

We made the appointment a week before . A snowstorm hit North Jersey on the same day.. He called and we expected him to cancel like the clunkers at PSE+G would have done... Instead....He wanted to come earlier.. He arrived on time ...Got to it lickity-split.. Was very pleasant and personable.. Gave us advice on best way to clean filter and make dryer last. Did a great job at a fair price. Support small business. Hire Him .You won't regret it..

Dave returned my call promptly and we were able to schedule a visit time easily and quickly. He called the day before the appointment to confirm, called as he was en route to notify me of his arrival time and arrived at exactly the scheduled time. He was courteous and professional throughout the appointment. He gave me options for repair, made the repair using the most inexpensive method, and the repair was successful. He worked steadily, quickly and neatly. I highly recommend Dave's work and will definitely use is services again.

Dave is amazing. We called in the morning and he was here about an hour later. Our first concern was our dryer that stopped working. He immediately pinpointed the problem and fixed our dead switch in no time. The oven apparently was fine. He used his own probe to see if there were any temperature fluctuations. There was no problem with the oven just my cheap oven thermometer. He explained everything in detail before and during the process. He is a very, very pleasant man, efficient, and obviously keen on leaving the customer happy. Would hire him again in a heartbeat.

My oven wasn't lighting one evening and I called Dave early the next morning, after seeing reviews on Angie's List, He called back about an hour later (8:00 am), we arranged an appointment for later that day, after I got back from work, and he arrived about 10 minutes early. He explained the problem, the cost and went to work. The job was finished in less than an hour and my oven is working fine. Dave was very personable, helpful (I asked him some unrelated oven questions) and really punctual. I was very pleased with his work and would definitely recommend him and while I hope I don't have any other repairs I would not hesitate to use his service again.

I could not be more pleased with the pleasant professionalism, swift service, and the overall cost. Dave did not charge me for a service call, only for the work performed and the cost of the part. And, of course, leave it to me to have purchased one of the few GE models that has TWO computers!! Fortunately, Dave was thoroughly knowledgeable about the model and knew quickly what was wrong and what needed to be done (fortunately, only one of the computers failed). Who could think of a worse culinary nightmare than having no refrigerator at Thanksgiving?! Dave quickly banished that dark cloud. I will DEFINITELY use Dave again if I ever have a problem with any of my major appliances - especially now that computers have taken over what sometimes used to be a do-it-yourself project; those days are long gone!

Called him at 11:00 am he returned my call 5 mins later. Said he would be at my place by 5:00. He was able to squeeze us in and arrived at our house at 1 pm. He came in checked my oven said it was the ignitor. He told me how much it would be. After I agreed to the price he went out to his truck came back with the part and replaced. He even played with our cat and dog. This is the 2nd time we used Dave and will continue to use him whenever we need to. A few years ago he came and looked at our washing machine. He's a really nice man and he talks to you...not only about what he's doing but he'll talk about his 2 cats. He tells you exactly what he needs to do & what he's doing. He doesn't b******* you...he shoots straight and that's what we need and it's rare nowadays. Glad that I found him here on Angie's list. Thanks Dave!!!!

He came that day and repaired it very quickly. Luckily he had the part on his truck. His service was fantastic and the price was reasonable.

They came out right away and resolved the issue. We were very pleased the service.
