Great price, very good work. A little over a year since the driveway was replaced, the driveway is perfect in ALMOST every way. The crew had the rather daunting task of sloping the driveway perfectly to drain to a small 1x1' drain that sits to the side of our double garage. Unfortunately there is one spot in front of the garage where the driveway has settled a little bit and as a consequence water puddles a little bit in a 12" by 18" oval shape; time will tell what consequences come from this. Other than that the rest of the driveway lives up to my expectations. As many other reviewers have commented, this crew goes above and beyond. In my case they helped me remove and replace a retaining wall next to the driveway and reseated some Belgian blocks. Highly recommended!

Sonny of Garden State Paving and three of his men just did our driveway yesterday, and they did a great job. They completely removed and replaced our asphalt driveway, about 1900 square feet, and they did it all in one day. Sonny was on site with the other workers most of the day, and ran a tight ship. He handled a few unexpected problems in a calm and competent manner. They worked extra hard to make sure the driveway looked as good as possible before they left. Since our drainage pipe had disintegrated (that connected to the downspout), Sonny went to the store and bought a new PVC pipe at no extra charge, and embedded it into the driveway in a very eye-pleasing manner. His foreman was first rate, and kept working on the finishing touches as if he were working on his own driveway. Sonny's communication skills are top notch, which helped sell us on his company, as well as the numerous high ratings from others. We are very happy with his work as well, and highly recommend him. We couldn't be more pleased.

Overall, the team did a really nice job. They were professional and courteous. I feel like I got good value for my money. I would definitely recommend them has the quality of their work speaks for itself.

Update 1 - We started on our driveway and apron project this morning. As noted by everyone Sonny was on site. We had a rather large miscommunication about the specifications of the job. Because the owner was on site, we were able to work to a compromise and move forward with the project. The work is in progress as we speak, so I will update the review upon completion, but I thought it was important to speak to the integrity of the owner. Because he is on site to supervise, and because he is an honest contractor, we were able to sort out the difference, and come to a conclusion that SHOULD (only say should because it isn't finished) work for both parties. Thank you to Sonny for being a respectable owner who stands by his word and stepped up when it mattered. Further update to come

Due to weather conditions the contractor decided to hold off on doing the job. Most companies would have gone ahead. They did everything to specifications. I have waited for almost a year to write this. Their work has held up and would reccomend them to anybody that needs work done. They were not the least expensive out there but the peace of mind I have had with their work is worth it.

Garden State Paving was outstanding! Sonny the owner came personally to measure and provided a very competitive bid. After I agreed, they came 2 days later, with 3 huge industrial scale trucks and got to work. Sonny came to supervise. When they dug it up and saw my driveway was the rare occasion of high quality type that had a base layer of industrial grade asphalt on top of gravel bed, and therefore did not need the step of supplementing gravel stones, he took pictures to show me and told me that honestly (no one was home), and he took money off for the reduced work load. They took off the top layer and put on 3 inches of new asphalt and machine rolled it. They finished the whole job in one day and it looks and feels fantastic! This is one of the best experiences of working with someone for the first time. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for driveway work.

Sonny was absolutely the finest of the estimates I received . He is knowledgeable , and specific . Didn’t try and upsell but offered a very fair price for paving a driveway . He made us feel very comfortable in contracting his service . The job was done with utmost satisfaction and time . I have recommended already to several friends who already contracted him .
