We needed a dishwasher. After researching, I wanted a Bosch. I'm an engineer, pretty stuck in my ways. The salesman was so knowledgeable, that he was able to logically switch me to a Kitchen Aid. Here it is 12 years later, and the dishwasher is still amazing. Had I gotten the Bosch, I'm pretty sure I would have been disappointed. I will be going to these guys tonight to see how they handle a clothes washer.

Pump replaced due to change in machine. First technician handed me one penny and said it was fixed. The minute he left I did a load of wash and it sounded worse than before. Called immediately and he said he could not come back unitl the next day. Stated he would call first thing but it was later in the AM. He returned and said he "pulled a drum" and gave me more change and said it was fixed. Made same noise again and water did not drain. Called the service immediately and they were not very interested in helping. Finally send a second technician who rolled his eyes every time I tried to tell him something. He pulled out more change after pulling the drum and it was clear the first tech did not do this. He would not listen as Itried t tell him that it still did not sound right. He said "you don't stand here and listen to your washer when it's running". I was amased at his rudeness and told him I did in fact stand in my laundry room to fold clothes and iron when the washer is running. His name was "Mike" and said "we don't need you to stay in business, go to Sears!". I would say he was bugged that he had to clearn up his co-workers shoddy workmanship. I normally don't get angry but I wasted 3 days waiting for these people and not one "sorry" was issued until I asked for an apology. I had used them several years ago with a good result but now they are the most unprofessional group of people I've ever dealt with. Will not use them again. I try to use local to keep the businesses running but they can be sure I'll use Sears in the future.

Prior to visit. The burner that we have a problem with is a large front 9" burner that now needs to be put on high to cook an egg / takes FOREVER to boil water since it cycles 2 seconds on and 2 seconds off. When I explained this, they asked for stove info which was expected and appreciated (so that they would be prepared so I thought). However, when I told them I had replaced the burner and switch of the burner on my own before calling them, the attitude changed both on the phone (and also after the repairman was told) - to a more abrupt/dismissive demeanor as best I can describe. That's ok though, I just wanted this thing fixed and will agree that I don't have their expertise - got the basics to attempt simple fixes as an electrical engineer though. Visit. When the repairman came, he just used his hand to feel the heat coming off the burner and determined the front burner is working fine - just need to start off with a cold pan for it to cycle differently, but he indicated that the back burner does not adjust correctly. I was surprised he did not bring what he expected to be the problem, but understand if they need to keep a light inventory given the cost of these components. Conclusion. Their quick response is great, and I'm sure they do a good job most of the time - they wouldn't be so successful otherwise - but their assessment did not correct our problem in this case; which we were basically told was in our misunderstanding of how it should work. I disagreed that there was a problem with that back burner since we use both back burners for cooking and never had an issue cooking on medium with either - and still don't. After my wife told me his assessment that we needed to start with cold water (operator error) that the 2 second cycle rate was normal even with the pan on, I decided that we need not continue since it just started working that way earlier this year. I paid the service fee and we'll just use that front main burner to cook food on low until we get a new stove. Note: Cold water does not boil faster, it changes temperature faster - but hot water will boil faster (lookup Carnot cycle). We still start with hot water, just on one of the 3 other burners which will actually boil water in just a few minutes (the 4th burner takes about 10 minutes).
Description of Work: Called and got an appointment right away and technician was punctual. Repairman turned on the burners, put his hand over them and determined that the burner that we claim to have a problem with was working fine and a burner that we do not have a problem with is malfunctioning and needs a new switch. He indicated that this was the most common and expected problem, but did not bring a switch with him so had to order and come back. As far as our problematic burner, he indicated that our problem was starting a pot with hot water instead of cold "because cold water boils faster".

The repairman showed up on time, explained what he was doing, made a concerted effort to fix the unit. Since he asked about which model I have before he came, he had the replacement ice maker in his truck so he was able to replace it right away. All in all, it was quick, painless and professional.
Description of Work: the ice maker on my Frigidaire quit.

. They are always reliable. They always do an outstanding work. You know that you are not taken. They are very honest. They told me how long they would take to get the part and what was going to happen. As soon as they got the part they called me and they came out and it was taken care of. The cost included the service call, parts and the labor. In April they installed a cook top for me. They noticed that the builder had put an inadequate gas line and the guy who did that for me, probably has 40 years of experience, and he fixed that for me and did an outstanding job. I had problems with the earlier cook top as the gas was coming up through the knob. Again I cannot say enough about them. I would continue to use them in the future.
