They did a good job and the technician was efficient. They pulled everything together and completed the rebuild within three days. The shop supervisor was actually the one who completed the work. There were no problems with the furnace after the work was done.

Excellent. A team of 3/4 installers work for 3 days to install. Professional attitude. Friendly. Answered all my questions. Triangle Tube Solo 175 with 50 gallon HE water heater works perfectly as of 12/8/16. Would highly recommend.

Wanted to add air conditioning to home to reduce humidity in summer and make the house more comfortable. The layout of the house was difficult to work around especially on a budget due to no crawlspace or basement and limited attic area. I was able to get multiple quotes from various providers but Speer Air was the most responsive to meeting my budget and advising on doing a mini split system for a fraction of the cost of doing a ducted system. The installation went quickly (2 days of work) and started right up and allowed me to make a short weekend vacation for July 4. They provided future upgrade to WIFI remotes for the system. I've already referred them to neighbors in the area.

I had two service techs from Speer come out. The first took a look at my 1951 boiler and told me flat-out that he didn't know enough about a system that age to help. He said he didn't want to charge me and waste my time without being able to offer qualified service, which I very much appreciate. He called his supervisor and they scheduled a second appointment, two weeks later, with a tech who was more familiar with older systems. Two weeks later, another technician came, and he clearly knew what he was doing and was very polite and professional. He was patient with me, and all my questions and he spent time to look at my boiler, my (also 1951) driveway snow melt system, and my AC handler in the attic. Ultimately, the service he did amounted to vacuuming out my boiler, checking the burners and pilot (which all worked fine and didn't require service or replacement), checking my AC filter and explaining how the snow melt system was supposed to work and why it didn't. No actual repairs were performed, no parts replaced. The bill came to just north of $300. I had originally been quoted $96 for a check up. I was charged an hourly labor rate on top of the $96 fee which was roughly $100/hr, billing for two hours, since he was on site for about 90 minutes. Much of that time was my fault for asking a million questions, and his expertise was certainly valuable and as I said, he was super patient with me (possibly because he knew he was billing me $100/hr to ask him a million dumb questions). I don't feel like I was ripped off, or lied to, but I do feel like advertising a $96 "check up" that ends up cost 3x that is a little deceptive. I was very happy with the quality of the service and I think Speer is a quality company to do this kind of work. Just be sure that when you are booking the service call you are very clear about finding out how much it will cost.

Very bad. The repair took 3 separate visits, and I had to request a different serviceman than the first 2 visits to find a solution and fix the problem. The new serviceman for the 3rd visit correctly identified the problem, but after I had already spent $1,100. The serviceman wanted to charge me for the labor for the 3rd visit, so I explained to him that when I spoke to Service Manager scheduling the 3rd visit she said I would not have to. My reason was that the first serviceman did not accurately identify the problem which resulted in a $900 service visit the 2nd time, which could have been avoided with a fix to the thermostat wiring. The serviceman needed to call his boss to waive the labor and has he went through the history of the service, I overheard him say "And we don't know if the TXV repair was needed" and the serviceman said "NO." Despite that, he hung up with his boss and offered only a slightly less labor charge which I refused. I called him out on it and explained I could hear him on your phone and he refused to waive the labor. Speer should've have owned up to its mistake by not correctly identifying the problem during the 1st and 2nd visit that which cost me $1,100 and waived the labor rate. They only waived the service visit fee. The 3rd repairman did fix the humidifier which I agreed to pay for those parts. In the end I paid $1,300, where had the problem been correctly identified, my costs would $600 - $700.

We told Speer Air the problem that we had with our previous unit and that was that it did not cool down the entire house especially the split level section which includes our dining room, kitchen, and living room. Being that our old unit was 17 years old, they assured us that they understood the situation and that a new unit would be able to make the house comfortable, Why wouldn't we change out the old air conditioning unit? With the first down of operation, the return vent in the ceiling where the air handler was located, started to make a whistling noise and they did return within a week and fixed the problem though the noise periodically returns to this day. But the biggest issue is that the above mentioned rooms are still not cooled even with a new unit. It is pretty much the same as before only I've spent $11,000 for no change at all. To make matters worse, repeated phone calls and emails to the company have been met with excuse after excuse; delay after delay. To put it bluntly, this is not customer service, but NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. We were once told that their foreman was looking into a plan to resolve our concerns, but no proposal has ever been executed. It seems that they just hope that we will go away. I urge all potential customers to do the same and JUST WALK AWAY from Speer Air.

The sales rep provided me with features and prices for several air conditioner systems. Once I made my choice, I received a detailed written proposal. The installation was performed on schedule and in a very professional manner.

I placed an emergency "no heat" call to Speer Air when my furnace suddenly stopped working. The office arranged for a same day service call (keeping me informed via phone about the technician's arrival time). Once the problem was diagnosed as a blower motor failure, I was given options and prices for repair or replacement (they offered a price discount on a new furnace because I was an existing customer). After taking a day to think about it, I decided to replace the furnace. I notified Speer Air of my decision, and the following morning they were at my house to perform the installation. They arrived on time (early, in fact), and did a very professional job.

Professional, thorough, competent.

The technician was polite, punctual, and quick. He completed his job in less than 30 minutes, so I'm not sure he got a great look at the furnace or cleaned it properly.

I have no complaints with them. He did what he said he would do. It didn't take them too long to come out. He didn't do a bad job and he did show up. There was nothing wrong with the air conditioner. I did get my monies worth. He didn't have to do anything and he did clean up. He didn't change any parts or put oil in it. He showed up at the time that he said he would. He was professional. I would use them again as long as the price was reasonable. We have two air conditioners. He said he would charge almost double for the second unit. It would have been nice if he had done the tune-up on the second unit for a reasonable price, not almost double.

I asked for an assesment of something different. they came out for a free assessment. They replace boilers and water heaters. He came on time. He tried to sell a newer, more efficient water heater. Although, he didn't do what I needed; he recommend someone else that could do the work which was nice. I scheduled a maintenance call to look at the heater and make sure it's in good shape. Both representatives were very nice.

This was a $49 big deal purchase and I need to get a refund. He could not take the panel out and said I needed something else. He said I needed a service call, not maintenance. So he could not do it and said I should get a refund. That guy was pretty nasty. As soon as he came in and looked at the furnace he started complaining about this not being a maintenance and should be a service call. I was only getting him for a half hour. He was messing around with the furnace the whole time. He came out a month after I bought the deal. He did not do anything. I know this company and we used it to install the central air. That experience was actually pretty good so I think this one experience was totally against that one bad service person who came. When I paid the full price for the A/C installation it was phenomenal. They have a good reputation for A/C services.

It was quite okay. They came by, they did a clean up. They replaced some parts. Yes they did charge more than the $69 fee, it was $108 extra for the difference, which I looked up online how much the part cost like $3. They initially said they would drain it. They came out sometime in the first week of October. I just really didn't like the charge for the part, the $108 that they charged extra. They should have the price in tune with the service since they are already there. They left the area neat and tidy before they left.

They never tried to contact me and I had to refund the deal.

The technician arrived during the scheduled time, executed the service in a timely manner, answered to questions related to the HVAC system, not only to the service he was executing. He also detected a potential failure which requires immediate attention and provided enough information that can be submitted to our home warranty company that will make the necessary repairs.

Went well overall. Technician arrived on time, performed the furnace tuneup. Explained to me that one of the part was old and needs to be replaced. Paid $100 for it..Did not look into it much though..

The tech came in to do a furnace tune up. He spent 30 minutes taking apart and then putting back together again the insides of my furnace. Once he was done, he gave me a good evaluation of my unit and said it was in good working order. Since the weather has been warmer and I left for the weekend, returning Sunday evening only to attempt to put my heat on and find that it is not working. I called Spear Heating and Air and left an "emergency" message with the call center to have someone call me back only to have absolutely not call back Since the weather is luckily not below freezing I will not have to call back to attempt another "questionable" service call.

We were recommended to Speer Air by two separate friends who have used them for years for heating and air conditioning service. Our furnace had not been serviced for two years and we wanted it looked over as we approached the heating season. Contacting the company was a snap: very organized office operation took our information and scheduled us for an appointment. Because we called as late as we did, the appointment could not be scheduled sooner than two or three weeks out. Speer Air also mailed us information about service contracts that could save us money on future calls. We did decide to go with a contract, but the initial visit was not covered as part of it. On the day of service the technician showed up ahead of schedule. He was a delightful young man who spent an hour testing, cleaning, and insuring smooth operation of the furnace and thermostat. He explained what he did. He tolerated our wacky dog with good humor. After the job was done he presented an invoice for the work done that day. (The service contract we had paid by mail previously). No discrepancy between the telephone estimate and the invoice. Very satisfied with this company's thoroughness: previous furnace startups from others did not include nearly as much detail. Happy to recommend Speer Air.

The process was great from the first sales contact through the entire process. Having had issues with contractors in the past it was a breath of fresh air to work with Speer Air! The sales guy Rick Fenn was extremely knowledgable and the company did everything Rick had promised and at the times he said it would happen. The guys who did the installation did a clean job and all bumps that occurred during the process were handled professionally and quickly. I highly recommend Speer Air!!
