About us

The Speer family started their company in 1900 selling coal and oil to residents and businesses in Northern New Jersey. Speer Air Conditioning was formed in 1958 and incorporated in 1966. Since then Speer Air has attained a reputation as one of the top heating and air conditioning companies in New Jersey. We average between 35 and 50 employees seasonally. We are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer (FAD) and have a New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor's license, 13VH00978100 as well as a New Jersey Electrical license, 14873. We provide complete HVAC services as well as electrical services. Speer Air is also a Generac Home Stand-by generator dealer. We also will give a $100 discount in addition to Speer Air discounts and the many utility rebate programs that are available. We look forward to serving you and offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee .

Description of Work: Speer Air installed a 2 zone central air in my home using the Carrier Infinity line. The job was well done. My home was built in 1913 and I was concerned about the floor / cieling cutting and the duct work installation. They did an excellent job. The units were installed and commissioned without incident. All problems encountered were solved rapidly and well. I waited to put in a review here until the units were operating for a few months. They have operated just fine. Carrier Infinity system is expensive but in my view worth the money.

Description of Work: June 2010 my 25-year-old A/C died. Speer provided a prompt quote in June and replaced the A/C and furnace with a high-efficiency combination in July. All done in one day - no problems since. |

Description of Work: Replaced A/C unit in my house. Had technician out originally who explained there was a leak and that fixing it would cost about 1/2 of replacing a nearly 20 year old unit. Salesperson was very helpful and succinct with recommendations. No issues on the day of installation but the there was a small hiccup with function at first (would cool but not to set level). Tech was out the next day to fix issue and haven't looked back so far. Very smooth interaction except for small initial hiccup which they handled very much to my satisfaction.
