Esposito's Electric

It worked out excellent. They paid attention to detail and went above the call of duty for me. I was very, very pleased. They are on my list. They did what they said they were going to do and charged me for it. They have been out twice since the big deal I purchased.

They were on time for the estimate, amazingly helpful with prep and permit application, on time for the appointment, neat with the work area. I felt comfortable enough to leave the technician in the house alone while I went to the coffee shop to take some conference calls. He called me when he was about 30 minutes from completing the job so I had time to return to the house. All of the circuits were mapped. Highly recommend.

The electrician arrived on time. He then introduced himself to my husband and I. Dan asked about the electrical problem. He checked the circuit breaker. He then removed a receptacle cover and connected some loose wires. Next, he replaced it with a new receptacle cover. He was very professional and efficient. Upon completion, he asked my husband to turn on the light, to make sure the problem was resolved. Before leaving, Dan gave me a bag of goodies.

We have used Esposito's Electric of Denville, NJ two times. 1) The first time was to troubleshoot an issue with no power in one outlet in our family room. This required working in a 4 foot high crawl space under the family room. We had first called a very popular Electrician in Essex County. The person the Essex County firm sent did a lot of complaining, ran out of time, did not finish the work, and left. I did not call that firm to reschedule. I was referred to Esposito's by a friend and called them. Esposito's sent a team of two electricians. They diagnosed and fixed the problem, and also explained to me the cause, and explained to me the map of the circuitry in the family room and kitchen, e.g. this goes to this, etc. 2) We needed to upgrade our Federal Pacific panel and also move our washer and dryer to a new area of the basement. We called Esposito's. The team of two was extremely skilled and professional. They also brought our basement up to code, installed ceiling lights and grounded the main panel. The town inspector was just here checking all the work. "very neat" "good job"

Jorge and Mike arrived promptly at the scheduled time. The work was estimated to take 5 hours, but they were done in 3.5 hours. They were extremely thorough and took great care with the job. In fact, I was told that patchwork would need to be done after the fans were installed but they were very meticulous with their work and that was unnecessary after all! Their work exceeded my expectations and I would use them again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!

Esposito's were very punctual and professional. They showed up on time and were very polite throughout the whole process. I knew I was paying a little more than average, but I felt it would be worth it for a high quality job. That being said, the service upgrade failed inspection due to a very minor issue, but I still had to stay home once to meet the electrician to do the repair and then stay home again for another inspection. It was a big hassle for me and I thought that by paying more I could avoid these issues. They did work for 3 straight days and didn't finish our entire list of items either. The existing wiring was a mess so perhaps it was a bigger job that I thought, but I was still disappointed that not everything was done in 3 days. Due to their professionalism and punctuality I would use them again, but only for minor projects.

EXCELLENT! I interviewed and got estimates from several other suppliers. Esposito's Electric was not the lowest bidder, but their professionalism, compared to the others, made the choice easy. They sent over a manager, and he took much time to examine my home, explain the problems and needs, and then recommend what needed to be done. The other bidders, did a rush estimate by comparision, and missed some problems. I am an engineer, and they did not convey a feeling of competence, even though they all had good reviews on line. The subcontractors who did the plumbing, etc. were also outstanding. Everything was done on schedule, with good cleanup. And the workmanship was competent and neat. The result was a beautiful sight to behold! I received assistance with town and county permitting, and the job was finished on time. as scheduled, with a good tutorial on operation and maintenance. The system self tests weekly, so one is always assured that it will work when needed, without any intervention on my part. I have sleep apnea and it is important to have reliable power at night. If I ever need major electrical work on my house, I will certainly use Esposito's again.

Everything was top drawer. From the initial estimate, to the signing of the contract, to applying for the permits and then to the final installation. I am a 3 estimate person, I obtained the 3 estimates for the exact same item and from the lower price (Esposito's) to the top price there was a $4,000.00 spread. Also Esposito's was the only of the bidders who gave me exactly what I wanted, the other 2 bidders would only do one type of install while Esposito's gave me that choice plus another choice and that was what I originally wanted. The installers arived exactly when they stated they would be there, in the pouring rain, and were very courteous. After the install they sent out a technician and he explained what I needed to know about the generator. I recommend them to everyone that I talk to. I also purchased a service contract from them and they contacted me 6 months into it to schedule a maintenance call. I just renewed the service contract for another year. Great company and great staff, both office and service.

Fortunately, it was installed and ready to use the day prior to Hurricane Sandy's arrival. During its weekly self-test the generator didn't run but made three attempts to start. They were here in 1-1/2 days, as promised, and on time. Their serviceman corrected the problem. We've also had them install electric outlets. Again they were punctual and completed the job. They're professional, tidy and polite. We're very happy we found them.

Work went well. project reviewed thoroughly and done on time and as described. there was some dirt tracked into the house which was hard to control because of the weather that day. also, i made a mistake in identifying a circuit and the men went back and fixed it for me. a good job done by them to correct something i had told them incorrectly.

I was mailed an estimate the cost me $136.00. The work was estimated to be about $300, but they charged me of the estimate. I called immediately and said that I was SHOCKED for getting charged for and ESTIMATE. The manager apologized for the charge and said to disregard it. It was sent in error. I called then back to see if they could do the job for me weeks later, but they never returned by call. No work was done.

Salesman called 5 days after my request for quote and said he could not stop by for another week. I'm glad I didn't have a problem that needed quick service

Espositos work was excellent from the planning of the type and size of generator with John to the electrical box and wiring installation and then the final day of actually testing the generator. Espositos office staff coordinated the scheduling with propane company and township inspectors. It is a 3 month process from initial planning to the final installation. The breakdown of costs was Espositos $ 7,151, Suburban Propane --added 2 extra tanks and filling was $ 1,650 and the township permit was $ 268. I figured $ 10,000 roughly for the generator and came under budget. Espositos Electric gave me an accurate estimate but propane company underestimated by half. I added 2 extra tanks (now have 4) and I will have total house power for 12 days without a refill of propane. There are 3 permits needed --- plumbing for the propane installation, electrical and fire at the end after installation is complete. I started the process the beginning of May and was complete by August 3rd. Espositos did extremely clean work. I knew what was happening throughout the whole process. The communication and coordination by Espositos was excellent and they were easy to work with. I would recommend them for home or business as they are a large company and do both. I will use them in the future for all my electrical work.

They seemed to know what they were doing. Their price was in line with other guys. They came in, did the job, and left and everything was great. They even allowed me to order the parts to save some money.

My backup generator had been installed by another contractor and I had doubts that it was installed correctly. The electrician from Esposito's Electric, Larry, verified the points I had question about. Larry did not waste any time, found an item that he was not sure was proper, and later talked with electricians at his company. Larry left me with peace of mind and his services were well worth my money, in my opinion.

I first contacted Esposito's Electric in October, shortly after the hurricane. I was told that they'd call me once I moved up in the queue. I finally had my estimator come in on February 16th. I understand that demand was high, but I was ok with that. The problem, though, is that the estimator was only able to estimate the electric portion ...not the plumbing job. He said he'd try to have the plumber arrive the same day, but despite me making several calls, the plumber never arrived. Then, in March, I received a follow-up call saying that my estimator was on and quot;extended leaveand quot; and had left things in disarray. They asked if I was interested in doing the work still, which I was. They said they'd reach out to me. Several weeks went by and nothing. I, again, reached out to Esposito's Electricto have the plumber show up for the estimate and after a few days of phone tag, I managed to get an appointment on April 15th (2 months afterthe original estimate, and almost 6 months after the first call). Just as I was arriving home (after leaving work early, mind you), I received a call (8 minutes before the appointment) saying that he was not going to be able to make it. NO ONE READY TO SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON A GENERATOR INSTALL SHOULD HAVE TO WORK THIS HARD!!!!

It is difficult to separate the failure of the tech and the difficulties of my house. The issue was not fixed, but the main reason for the lower score was because Skip, the electrician, showed up a full 2 hours early and could not get me any closer to resolution. The issue I had was with my baseboard heaters - a few of them had never worked since I moved in 6 months ago. The tech noticed the voltage and asked me about where the converter box was. I wasn't sure about this and helped him look through the house, to no avail. He then opened the baseboards and found each baseboard had the converter there. and quot;I've never seen it done like that before,and quot; he announced. That was my first half hour, which cost $128. He went to each baseboard that didn't work and said that they were not getting power at all, muttering to himself a lot of the time. I did not find him very professional, though he was a nice person. I'm not very knowledgeable about this aspect of my house, which is my own fault. But I wish he could have communicated better. After a while, he said he could spend all day and not find the cause of the problem. That was about 50 minutes into the visit, and now I'm up to $171. In the end, he spent 1.5 hours and did not fix the problem, or even find out where it lies. He said it would be a big project to figure this out - he would need two guys coming to the house to diagnose the issue. My house is a weird one, so I understand. Again, it is tough to tell how much of this was the tech and how much was the house. I think it's mostly the house, but I wish he could have explained more clearly how this can be fixed and some kind of estimate for a time frame. He could not provide any information about this. I know a bit more about my house now, and I understand this is a difficult issue. But he was there for 1.5 hours and knew he had no chance of fixing it after about 50 minutes. Before he left, he told me he was there for almost 2 hours, but he would only charge me for 1.5, I guess as a favor. This was not true - he showed at 10am and left at 11:30, and could have left at 11am. I paid $230 with taxes and am no closer to having the problem fixed. However, the C grade was a result of showing up at the wrong time and poor communication. Before he left he said and quot;Sorry this wasn't an easy fix, but you got some serious problems going on with this.and quot; I just wish I knew exactly what those problems were.

We have a maintenance contract with them. It is a whole house generator that uses natural gas. They use Generax products which are the highest rated generators. They are certified by Generax and their people are trained by them. They are factory trained. The generator has proved itself to be very valuable. Their service was prompt. They came out during a hurricane situation because the generator needs to be looked at after so many hours so they drained the oil and replaced it under the service agreement. The service agreement was well worth it. The service people were prompt and came on time. They provided the services exactly as needed. Their pricing is a little bit more.

I called for a quote and was told over the phone that the range was from $4K - $14K..... I told her they are overpriced and I wouldn't be working with them.

The tech came to the house and pick up my generator. He called the next day to advise of the trouble and that it was easily fixed and under warranty! The repair was done, and the tech returned to unit to my home later that week at a mutually convenient time. I was pleasantly surprised as to how well my expectations were managed by the team at Esposito's.

They ate outstanding. Prompt, professional, t quality workmanship.

I didn't use them. They were a lot higher than the person I gave the work to. They are a larger company so they have a lot of overhead with secretaries and things like that so they have to cover their overhead in their rates. The guy I went with was a mom and pop local guy that is just him and his wife. It is not fair because Esposito's couldn't compete with him. They have other expenses they have to cover with the work they do. They were $2,000 more than the guy I picked. They were fine. I talked to the guy for maybe 10 minutes and he wrote up the quote. They gave me a lot of information. I would use them but they were high. They came when they said they were coming. They were close to being on time. I only dealt with one guy, but he was nice. I wouldn't eliminate them from consideration but I have 2 electricians that I would probably go with because they were a lot cheaper.

Great professional service from initial call to completion.

I was pleased - they showed up when they said they would and worked tirelessly until finished. All work was completed satisfactorily. Aside from the electrician, the office was very helpful and responded to all my questions and concerns.
