We had a horrible experience with Affordable Waterproofing and I would never in a million years recommend them to anybody. They were just terrible, but they came when we called and were on time.

An appointment was set up with Marc to come and give us an estimate on doing our basement. Affordable was our second of three estimates so we kind of knew the process and questions to ask. A co-worker had them do work at his home and was very satisfied. Marc was on time and looked at our basement then sat and talked about his findings and what would be done. At first, I was not to keen on him as he told me there was mold on a piece of furniture. I did not think it was and told him so as I knew exactly what it was. In his defense, the basement does not have very good lighting. Being a woman, I really don't like having someone tell ME but after sitting with Marc I found him to be very knowledgable in the business. Out of the three estimates we got, we narrowed it down to two. The third company used a different method that needed to be cleaned out every two years. The second company used the same method as Affordable and was priced comparable; their contract had too much wording on it and they charged for the repairs if they found something wrong with your footing. Having a home which is 85 years old, we did not want this extra expense. Like most people we did not have the money just laying around and applied for a loan to cover it but had to wait for the banks approval. Marc was more then accomodating. Very willing to work with us. Even offered their financing but we had already gone through our bank. The crew of ten plus arrived on time. My husband took the day off just in case anything came up. He kept sending me pictures of the work in progress. He said everything was draped in plastic. Entry ways also. He said the crew worked and kept on working. The job was suppose to take three days and by noon when he called me the trench was done, pipe was placed and he then stated that he thought they would be done today. When I came home from work at 3:15, I was shocked to see that you could not tell anyone had been doing work at our home. Everything was cleaned up. Not a trace of dust. I was so nervous to get this done and now I can't wait for rain to see how this system works. What made this job go so fast was the fact that we had thrown out a lot of crap from our basement and the crew had ample room to work. I suggest anyone having this done to do the same. They will move somethings for you but it is worth doing some tossing before hand. Thank you to the crew of Affordable for being so professional and for getting it done in one day. Now I don't have to waste one of my PTL days. I can use it to be with my grandson!

Dealing with Affordable Waterproofing was a pleasant experience. The salesman was friendly and informative. The work was exceptional and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again!

On May 1, 2012 we had a representative from Affordable Waterproofing come to our home in the South Jersey area to give us a quote on a waterproofing system. The rep called us in the am to confirm our night time appointment which was very accomodating, since my husband and I both work. The rep arrived promptly at our appointment time, was very knowledgable and very courteous. He went over all aspects of the job and answered all our questions, which were many. He took his time and explained what to expect when the work was being done. After all our questions were answered, we decided to go with his company and signed a contract. The next day the crew arrived and performed the work. The foreman was very knowledgeable and courteous as well. The crew performed work with no issues and everything was performed as the representative laid out to us. The foreman walked us through the entire job from beginning to end. We would highly recommend to anyone who needs a dry basement. We are satisfied customers.

In early June we called Affordable Home Designs for an estimate on new windows and siding. We gave all our info to the receptionist. We where contacted by a sales representative and our appointment was set. The representative arrived on time with many products to choose from. Samples and pictures of worked previously perfomed by their company were shown to us. We were very impressed by his knowledge of all the products and services his company provides. We decided the price was in our range however it was not the lowest price we recieved. We felt more comfortable with the Affordable company and its represenative. We decided to have them perform the work for us. After signing the contract the next day, a represenitive returned to our house and took all the required measurements . Two days later we were called with an installation date. The crew came out and performed the work in a professional manner. All time lines were met and all products were as promised. We highly recommend Affordable Home Designs and will use them again in the future for our home improvement needs.

The price was little high. In general happy with the work they have done. They did pretty decent job. They did get it done quickly. It could have been little bit more like the edging with a cut and that could have been little more smoother. I would not use them again only because of the little bit high price.

The man who came here, Gary Stout, spent over an hour in my house checking out my basement. He told me I had mold in my house and my foundation could crack. He then told me it would cost me $20,000 to fix my problem, but if I got it fixed now, it would only cost $16,000.I told him I didn't like to be pressured. I called two other companies to come in and look at my basement. Both of them told me there was no mold and my foundation was not cracking. One told me it would only cost $1,600 to waterproof my basement. It turns out this company was a scam and was just trying to scare me into spending a lot of money for a problem that didn't exist. I want to warn everybody that this company is a scam and to beware!

My husband called the company and left a message stating that we were interested in getting an ESTIMATE (please note I write estiamte in all CAPS for a reason you will see why as you continue reading) for waterproofing our basement. The salesman called back and left my husband a voicemail which was a bit rude, He started off the message by saying if your there pick up the phone? Then my husband calls back and sets up an appointment and the salemans said okay now make sure you write this time down on your calendar, don't forget about the appointment. Just from these two interactions with him he seemed annoyed and as though we were wasting his time asking for a quote. (which correct me if I am wrong but isnt that his job??)So he comes out and goes through everything he seemed pretty knowledgable and pretty nice...nicer than the first impression we got. But since we were not ready to sign a contract that night he started to get angry. We told him that we were not ready to sign tonight because we wanted to talk about our finances and just talk it over in general and he told us that our reasoning made no sense and that we should be signing with him tonight. He started to yell about how we were lying to him and that we could get zero financing for a year and we told him that we didnt want to finance and he just kept telling us that our story didn't make sense that and that we were lying and pretty much made it seem like we were wasting his time. Then he got up asked where the quickest exit was and stormed out of the house. How unproffessional is that? When we contacted this company we asked for a quote, not to sign a contract that night. It is completely normal for us to want to talk it over before signing right away. He was rude and majority of the information he gave us was bad mouthing other companies. I get that it is a competitive field but we had 3 other quotes and NO ONE bad mouthed the other companies like this guy did. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Do not waste your time getting a quote from them, unless you want to be bullied and talked down to.
