DRAIN KING

I called Chuck from Drain King via the number on this website, early on a Sunday morning: it was likely his home number and not the work number as the poor guy sounded sleepy yet he was pleasant and still professional at 715am. The appt was set for Tuesday about 12, he called early and said he was on his way, which was appreciated. We have dogs (cocker spaniels) so I put them behind a gate and when they arrived, the dogs were going crazy, barking and wanting the attention, Chuck and his assistant took it in stride even when the gate came down and the dogs got out, jumping and yipping. He even walked them to the door to let them out and they followed him right outside. The guys got to work and it was not an easy clog (the washer drains into the kitchen sink piping and when it clogs, the sink backs up filling with water) but they kept working until it cleared. They did a double check, cleaned up and left quickly, which I appreciated as I was working from home. Professional yet friendly, efficient and definitely patient. The price was right as well. I will definitely hire them again as the drain problem happens a few times a year.

Chuck LaSala was recommended to me to repair 2 leaks in my basement. I called him right away and scheduled an appt for a couple of days later. To my surprise, he called me a day earlier and said he could run by to see the work I needed done. Sure enough, as promised he was here within the 20 minute window and got right to work. Fortunately he was able to get the work done that very day. He and his son are real professionals, efficient, great communicators. I feel I got a good price, and liked that they wasted no time getting the work done. In their van they had all the parts they needed to complete the job. It was a great experience from the first time Chuck came to my house. His speedy response to my first call made a very difficult time that much easier. He ran a camera through the sewer pipe underground on a Friday morning and saw the problem. By that afternoon I had all my utility companies there steaking out where their lines were. And by Monday morning there was a crew here tearing up my sidewalk to fix this problem. They were very professional and everything was completed by early afternoon! They responded immediately to my messages, and within 2 hours of my request they arrived! They had the work done in around 30 minutes. They were friendly and courteous. Such a relief to get this done so quickly!

We had a problem with water seeping into our basement at the front of the house where the basement wall meets the floor. After a lot of investigation, I determined that the French drain must be plugged because very little water was getting to the sump pump even after a lot of rain (the existing sump pump is located at the back of the house). Chuck and his son (also named Chuck) came and looked at the problem and explained that snaking the French drain would not work because the soft flexible drain pipe had probably collapsed (unfortunately, few people use hard rigid PVC pipe for French drains). As Chuck explained, digging up the French drain would be extremely expensive. Therefore, Chuck suggested a second sump system (basin and sump pump) be added near where water was detected. He provided an estimate for this work before we scheduled the work. For the most part, I was happy with the work that Chuck and his son did. My only complaint is related to the concrete repair work around the new sump basin; the concrete used is a much courser grade of concrete than that used for the basement floor so it will never look very good.

I asked for and received an estimate up front and they quickly got to work. I loved the family business and I loved that father and son came together and worked together seamlessly. All of our problems were fixed and we are very pleased with the results. We finally have a plumber who is responsive, effective, professional, and well worth the money. We are hoping not to have any further issues, but if we do, we know who we will be calling!

After three phone calls and one week date was set for work. Day of the scheduled work no show, no call. It is now the day after and I still have not been contacted by this provider. UNRELIABLE

Chuck was incredibly responsive and was able to get out to my rental property within a couple of days of me getting in touch. We talked on the phone and he let me know that replacement was the only option that made sense after he ran a camera through the line, so I gave the go ahead to move ahead with the work after getting his estimate on the cost. The work was completed as expected and chuck was even nice enough to meet me halfway between his house and mine to get the payment from me. He also took the time to answer any questions I had and provided rough estimates for some additional work that may be required down the line.

Chuck Snr and Chuck Jnr came by an hour after we spoke on the phone and took care of the problem within 30 mins. I was very impressed by their work and by their professional manner. They made sure to explain the problem and how to avoid it going forward. I would definitely hire Chuck again for any plumbing issues.

We had a small part of the job that needed to be done the following week, since the part was not on the truck. We agreed on a time the following week; we had plans for most of the day. When we tried to confirm later in the week, we were told an emergency had come up and no idea when we would be served that day. We could not stay. When we tried to make contact via text message that we were available two weeks later, we did not receive a reply. While I realize the final part of the job was very small, we were disappointed that no communication was made back to us.

Owner contacted me by phone and appointment was confirmed. They were on time and completed the job. I am satisfied with the result.
