According to Michele, the Service Profissional could have the fireplace sealed and unusable for $ 400 dollars and that would reduce the value of Michelle's condo. He also mentioned that he could have a damper installed that would close at the top of the fireplace for 725 dollars. While Jacob worked, there was a cap that he took off and threw to the yard and installed a new damper to fix the problem. Afterwards it did not fix the problem, it made it worse.The air coming in from the fireplace was so strong that it blew over items infront of the fireplace. Michele had another company come out to her property for 95 dollars to review and look at the situation. The new company said the problem was not the top of the chimney, thae the air was coming in around the sides. He said the chain from the new damper was holding on to the old damper which kept the old damper open from the bottom and that's why more air was coming in. The new company disconnected the chain and pushed it up above the old damper so it would close. That has helped the problem but Michelle wants the new damper removede because it was never the issue and she would like her money refunded which was 725 dollars plus tax. Jake was fantastic. Called before coming out and was on time. He examined the chimney issue, reviewed options and explained benefits of each without pressure. Jake worked quickly and showed pictures of the completed project. Would highly recommend!

A very honest experience, he was upfront about the need for certain services, helped me list them in order of priority considering budget, and explained thoroughly each treatment he proposed (although with a bit of prompting on my end). Slightly disappointed he didn’t offer the service for the bladder liner we need because I’d like to continue working with them, but I understand that is a big and time intensive job.

Contacted multiple contractors for quote on chimney, some only wanted to do half the job, some didn't call back. Chimney had some small cracks in stucco, and crown was in need of repair. It now looks brand new. I am very pleased with everything, from quote to finish. Excellent job.
