Im happy with the work that George did. He was referred by a friend. I already had quotes from two other vendors but my friend was effusive about his talent and professionalism so I decided to meet with George. I found George to be very responsive and "user friendly." There was never any pressure for extras but he did make suggestions the other vendors did not, which I appreciated, made sense, and decided to do. The result is that the system is far superior to what I had and it looks much better as well. There was a very small glitch and when I called George, he came over right away to fix it. I would be happy to recommend.

Stay Cool did a great job improving our forced air system. The old AC did not cool the house, the cooling coil leaked water and the furnace burners were rusted. George and his team upgraded our HVAC system to meet the needs of the house. He installed a high efficiency furnace and larger blower with an new return air duct line that pulls air from the ceiling during the summer. He and a partner did the work quickly and came on time each day, the final product is clean and better than before. George understood the problems with cooling a split level ranch style home built in the late 1950's and offered several solutions. We have had no problems with the heating, the house heats up faster and he was able to use our existing (but newer) humidifier with the new furnace. For cooling, the new return duct pulls hot air from the ceiling of our upper floor so the whole house is cool not just the ground floor. Overall George and his Stay Cool team cared about how the system worked as a whole including the duct work, they made sure the system met our needs.

On a Saturday afternoon, we called Stay Cool and George was at our place within 30 minutes! He took a look at our unit and rather than just saying, "Looks like you need a new unit," George took the time to take it apart and find the real issue. Sure enough, the fan had gotten jammed. An easy fix for George, but something I would never have figured out and most other repair services wouldn't have bothered with, they would have just put in a new unit and charged hundreds (thousands?) of dollars. I've used Stay Cool several times in the past and wouldn't think of using anyone else. They are on-time, professional and very knowledgeable. I have total confidence (and peace of mind) with Stay Cool. Ultimately they care about their customers, always looking to do right by them, rather than looking to make a couple of extra bucks.

Arrived home after vacation and discovered air-conditioning system was not working. I shared this with a friend who immediately called Stay Cool because they had work done by George and told me he was very honest, fair and would do a very good job. George responded quickly. My friend was absolutely correct. George came to access the situation, he was very knowledgeable and not only gave me information concerning the air-conditioning system but my furnace also (61 years old). George replaced the air-conditioning system and the gas furnace. He showed up the next day and replaced the ac unit and furnace in a day and a half. All is working great! George was very professional, punctual, neat and informative. I mentioned a noise I had heard with the old unit, George recognized that the problem was with the duct work and took care of that also. He registered the units with the manufacturers and helped with the paper work for the NJ Clean Energy Program. I would recommend Stay Cool to my neighbors and friends. George is sincere in his desire to solve the problems of each individual client and to provide each client with quality work and materials.

This is an addendum to a review I gave of Stay Cool back in April. We had great use of the air conditioning unit that George installed at the beginning of the summer. We chose the Mitsubishi split ductless system because of it's reputation but lo and behold come the first cold spell, the heat didn't work. I called George and and was there the same day to take a look at it. There was nothing he could do with the unit so he called Mitsubishi and they told him what to look for. The next day George was by with a replacement board for it, that didn't work and back on the phone with "M". As it turns out, the outdoor unit needed a new compressor unit. George called "M" and said the unit is only 5 months old and they should replace the entire outdoor unit. After a few more phone calls they agreed and 5 days after my initial call, we had a new unit installed that works fine.

George was very detailed, comprehensive and gave us a competitive quote. Competitive quote means that he was able to provide an increase in SEER (Aircon efficiency) and upgrade to a higher AFUE/BTU rating without a noticeable jump in price v. the competition. This was in addition to the four other quotes we received with not so much detail. Have to say, great value for the money. So far so good. Took 1.5 days of work at the house and that was detailed up front. Clean, detailed and comprehensive installation and site clean up. So far, all is working well, but have to say that I would recommend him for your project, large or small. Note that Stay Cool Service will be back to check the system in Sept and make sure everything is ok with the Aircon (now being summer months) and when we change to heating when the weather changes.

George was honest and professional. We contacted him at the recommendation of a neighbor. From the moment he came to our door he was funny, friendly and honest. George told us how he could improve out heating and cooling needs in a short period of time all while saving us money. and BOY did he deliver. The new furnace and AC unit are more than 97% efficient and have helped save money and energy. George has since been back to check on the unit and make sure it is working properly and to make adjustments as necessary. He told us to call him in the fall when we turn the furnace on so he can check that as well. I cannot think of enough good things to say about George. He pay attention to details that are important. He is honest and provides excellent suggestions. He is reliable. He is on time. He is meticulous and he is more concerned about keeping the homeowner happy than his bottom line. It doesn't get much better than George. I would recommend using Stay Cool to anyone and everyone. With over 25 years experience, you just can't go wrong with George!

I contacted George at the beginning of May and he got back in touch with me right away. We scheduled an appointment for an estimate on May 3rd and George was right on time. He impressed us because in looking at our electrical panel there was a 220 line, yet none of our appliances require 220 so it was a mystery. George tracked it down and spent some time doing that. He paid a great attention to detail and we were sold on having him do the job. We scheduled it the following week for May 21st and thankfully the weather cooperated. George and his assistant arrived on the 21st and finished up on the 22nd. He did return on the 23rd to complete some cosmetic issues on the outside of the house, but we were functional on the 22nd when he left. The mini split system is awesome. No more AC window units and each room controlled separately which is great.

I usually do not write reviews however I felt the need too because I was very happy with the services and cost. George was extremely helpful answering our questions and coming out to our house as fast as he did. My son and daughter both have very bad allergies where we can not open the windows on a beautiful day. Instead we need to put on the air conditioner which was not working. George came out same day and told us what we needed and the next day he came back and put in our new unit for very reasonable cost. We had called other companies for quotes and they were ridiculously pricey. I will recommend Stay Cool to anyone who he looking for honesty. Thanks George.

.Let's start with the fact that George, owner of Stay Cool stopped at our house the day I called him in between jobs to take a look at the project. Within 24 hours we had a price and a proposal. We had 3 other companies come in for quotes that took anywhere from 3 days to over a week to send someone over to look. The range in prices was $8,400-$12,000 for the same job! George and his men came highly recommended by a neighbor, and when he came back for a second look to make sure his measurements were correct, that sealed the deal. The project was much more difficult than anticipated and took longer to finish and George never said there would be any extra charges, in fact he leveled the other central air compressor for free. George went out of his way to make the placement of the pipes as seamless as possible. When they were done, the left everything neat..

Our furnace needed a tune-up, so we decided to go with Stay Cool based on Angies List reviews, A+ rating with BBB, and proximity to our home. I called Stay Cool and requested that someone come out to do a tune-up on a Friday. George (the owner) personally called me to confirm the date and time. On Friday, George came to my home at the exact time we had scheduled. He was very punctual. He then proceeded to the basement to look at the furnace and from there on it was a great learning experience for me as George walked me through the whole inspection. He is very knowledgeable and was also very patient with my questions. He also performed extra fixes that went beyond the tune-up at no extra cost. His professionalism was top notch. He also did a quick check on one of the vents in my living room to check airflow and walked to the outside of the house to check the pipe that vents out the carbon monoxide from the furnace. During the inspection he pointed to several things that had not been done properly by whoever installalled the unit (prior to us buying the house), such as the unit was never grounded (George took care of that immediately), the humidifier was not connected to the unit, the pipe that brings outside air into the unit was never connected (therfore decreasing the unit's efficiency), etc. George provided detailed suggestions, without any pressure...no scare tactics at all; he even indicated that the unit was working fine as is. I did however, ask him to please provide me more information on his suggestions (i.e. estimate) as I felt they are worth doing (i.e. fixing humidifier), etc. To give you an idea of George's thoroughness, his inspection (and a few fixes) lasted over 2 hours! Oh, and he also closed off a hole to the chimney with a flute cap and chimney cement (at no cost!). I will undoubtedly continue using Stay Cool for all of our future hvac needs. I should be receiving an estimate in the next few days on the suggestions he made during the inspection . Again, excellent experience and highly recommend!

we realized when we woke up this morning that our heater was not working. We got George's number from a friend and texted him around 9. he was at the house before noon and had the Heat working again in no time. We would definitely use him again if, unfortunately, the need arises.

I just bought a new house and my new gas furnace broke down after a few weeks. Therefore, I checked out gas furnace ratings on Consumer Reports. org and Bryant was the most reliable brand with fewest repairs. I got Stay Cool since it was the dealer in my area. I'm glad I went with this company and got to meet George, the owner. He not only promptly replied to my e-mail inquiring about his services, but I spoke to him on the phone and you can tell he knows his stuff. He came over for a free consultation (which I missed due to work) but he had no problem talking to my wife about everything. Not only did he look at my old furnace, but he took the extra step and looked at all the vents throughout my home and offered his advice. Since I missed our meeting due to work, he actually came back the next day again to talk to me directly. George is an extremely friendly and knowledgeable person who I can say above all is honest. Why? Because he also looked at my AC, and advised me that I didn't need to change it right now when someone else might have pushed for a combo discount. The day of the project, he came early in the morning and finished the job in one day as promised. Also, he took precautions to make sure that they didn't break or get anything dirty in the house. He also, did me a favor and changed a pipe from the water heater since it was the wrong one. As mentioned before, you can tell he thoroughly does his job and doesn't cut corners. When the project was done, the furnace and house looked great including the two venting holes he had to make in my home. He also helped me with an application to get a rebate from the State of NJ Clean Energy Program. He's a stand up guy who backs up his work.

George T. from Stay Cool was recommended to me by my current general contractor (a GC that I completely trust). My home in northern NJ was severely flooded (up into the first floor) and all HVAC and duct work had to be replaced. The first HVAC contractor was recommended by my former general contractor and I just felt that the HVAC contractor wasn't interested in my house. As a result, the duct work was shoddy and that contractor used a furnace and condenser coil that was not the best choice for my home. The duct work was very poorly installed with tape used in many places and dryer venting used in a difficult space. George T. from Stay Cool came to my home immediately upon my request. He quickly evaluated the situation and found major issues that needed immediate correction. Some of the major problems include: a furnace with a lower SEER rating than indicated on the insurance claim, the wrong size condenser coil for the AC unit that was going to be installed, other valves/ connections that weren't installed properly or not at all and then, duct work which was too big for the basement and had many "leaky" spots. George offered a very fair price and offered solutions to correct what had been installed so that I could get optimum performance from the system and he tried to help me so that I wouldn't lose all of the money originally spent on HVAC. He offered me information on rebates that are available to me and he helped me with the process. He was prompt, thorough and responsive to my phone calls and special requests. He is respectful of your home by cleaning up after he is done. He discusses everything very thoroughly so that I was comfortable knowing that he has done a complete job. George is a service professional that I can trust for future work. He will be installing my second HVAC system in a few months. I recommend him to anyone that needs an excellent HVAC contractor and he'll give you the piece of mind that you want when you need someone for HVAC work.
