Very well. Bill S (one of the owners) came over an consulted on the best way to achieve our goal. He indicated that they've done lots of this type of project and their work certainly showed it. His advice was so valuable in laying out the room and making other decisions. Once we had the permit, they were right over to break the floor and plumb in the waste lines to our existing lines. I anticipated that was going to be a big, messy job. However, they had that done in a few hours with zero residual mess. After the inspection was complete they were back right away to close up the floor with new concrete, allowing my construction contractor to get to work. Once the room was framed out, Anthony & Billy were right back to do the rough in plumbing which took about 5 hours. Again, no mess at all. The rough-in inspections passed with no complaints. Once we were ready for the final work (toilet & vanity install), they were back promptly and completed all that with no fuss, no muss. We are so pleased with the finished product.

Bill came and was a pleasure, he did all the work expertly himself. Everything was done perfectly. The pricing was as agreed and I couldn't be more pleased. I will definitely use them again. And I highly recommend them.

My hot water heater tank broke on a Sunday when Chapman was closed. I called and left a message-despite is being a Sunday and the business being closed, I received a call back a couple hours later. While I didn't use Chapman, having made other arrangements, I very much appreciated their responsiveness. Many thanks.

I had a concern that my water in my shower started to smell after the warm water had been running for a period of time while taking a shower. The technician quickly concluded that the smell was likely due to debris in the drain. He removed the drain cover (two screws) and then proceeded to push the debris in the drain, further down the drain with his flat head screwdriver to "clean" the drain. He then replaced the drain cover. The entire visit took approximately 15 minutes. To my surprise and with NOT being told upfront, this "cleaning" cost me $63. I understood the upfront service fee of $69 but to then be charged an additional $63 without being asked the following - "The drain needs to be cleaned. I can clean it for you by taking my flat head screw driver and pushing the debris down into the drain. This will cost $63. Would you like me to proceed?" My answer would have been NO WAY.

Horrible how can you charge for an estimate?

Chris and Jon showed up on time and were very neat and professional. Chris looked at the furnace and gave me a rundown of what the problem could be as well as the worst case scenario. He was very upfront with potential costs for all scenarios. He proceeded to diagnose the issue to find out why the LIMIT SWITCH was open. He didn't want to take the entire unit apart, unless he had to, as it would be costly. It was eventually determined that rusted debris from the exhaust flue had gotten into the unit. The gas valve was also malfunctioning. They replaced the corroded section of the flue, cleaned out the burner and air handler, replaced the gas valve and repaired a frayed wire. Fortunately, it turned out to be a somewhat "minor" repair and not a larger problem. What I liked the most is that they were upfront and honest about pricing and what work was being performed. There was no up-sell on maintenance plans/contracts (although the company does offer them.) I would absolutely recommend them. I used them for minor plumbing as well and was very happy. I plan on using Chapman to install my water heater, next.

It was very pleasant. Tom said they would done in one day and everything was complete before 4pm. They returned two days later and removed the oil tank and they were done by 11am. Everything was cleaned up beatifully.

The tech came and told us everything we knew already regarding the HVAC and was unable to do anything with the fireplace, stating we need an expert. Upon his departure, I was given a bill for for over $140, explaining that $69 was just to come to the door and the evaluation was additional. I called the woman I originally spoke to for an explanation. She was rude and told me I was wrong. I'm beside myself and feel ripped off. They've lost any future business with us and will spread the word in this small town.

Was easy to setup appointment and discuss via Angie's List messaging. Plumber was professional and courteous. Had to get parts from distributor but a great job and tub and shower good to go.

Service was professional and speedy. The men worked for about ten hours and when they finished you would not know they had been there..everything was in its place...all working perfectly...no mess or loose ends....Thank you Tom and Bill.

After 14 years, the single-handle faucet on our kitchen sink broke. The handle broke off. I was going to repair it myself. I bought a new faucet and sprayer from Home Depot. Upon further review, I realized I needed a professional. I called Chapman, after reading good reviews on Angie's List as well as recommendations from my neighborhood FB group. One of their plumbers was there the same day. He quoted us a price, which seemed fair. We authorized the work. It was done within an hour. He was very courteous, friendly and professional. I plan on hiring them again for our next project: Water Heater replacement.

Very professional work - would use again

Chapman did a great job as always. They installed a gas water heater with a power vent. Needed to run the line across part of the basement to make it work, but they managed installation easily with the line out of the way. On time, professional, and their work is top quality.

The provider quoted me a cost of $69.95 to have someone come out and look at a leaky drain pipe in my basement, after which I would be given an estimate. The dispatch cost would remain and not be waived, even if the work was done by Chapman. I asked around and this is not a common practice, or at least not one that my neighbors are familiar with. Even auto body shops and the like waive the cost of an estimate if you do the work with them. My HVAC repair people (Meyer & Depew) charges for dispatches but folds the dispatch cost into the actual work to be performed. I did not book the service. While I was unhappy with the charge, the person I spoke with was nothing but polite and professional and was respectful of my decision to not proceed. I would consider using Chapman Bros. in the future if this charge was either not a factor or waived if work was performed.

They fixed and helped out with advice about heating system.? Amazing company and wonderful workers.

Update: Received a call from Chapman a few days later saying they lost their calendar of appointments in a phone mishap, which I can buy, but who doesnt have an automatic backup of their calendar these days. I would have liked their rep ask me if and when they could reschedule, but that was never offered. However, they were very apologetic and I may reach out to them again in the future for an estimate.

Our sewer line clogged Christmas Day so that any sink or toilet use would result in waste water backing up into the basement. We thought we would be forced to spend Christmas in a hotel and wait for a plumber to become available, perhaps having to wait for a few days until Monday. Incredibly Chapman responded to our call on December 25th, and in about an hour a workman (Anthony) was here and within 90 minutes had cleared the sewer line to the street. An incredible job - our family was very grateful for Anthony & Chapman! Yet another reason why we will only call Chapman when we have any plumbing, heat, or AC issue.

I was doing some renovations to my sink, and I had an old metal P-trap that was very difficult to remove. It was clogged but slowly draining...yet would be a problem if I hadn't removed the clog entirely. I tried snaking the P-trap with mixed results and I didn't want to spend any more time on it. I called Chapman Bros and was hoping to get them the same day, the receptionist left it open to see if they could come today, if not, then Monday or I'd have to call again for emergency service on Saturday at a higher service fee. As it worked out, they were able to come the same afternoon and they called 20 min before the tech was able to arrive. I showed him the problem and he gave me a quote. I knew it wasn't going to be inexpensive but he quoted me a fair price right on the spot. I said go ahead. He replaced the P-trap and cleared the clog, tested it and everything worked well. I'm very glad I don't have to look at that stupid dysfunctional P-trap anymore. He was extremely helpful, the work was top notch and was done in a very short period of time at a good price. Amazing service and a great job! I wish I could give Chapman Bros an A+...I will contact them again when I redo my upstairs bathroom. Thank you Jim

The services went very well. They were neat and efficient. He used copper piping which I preferred. They also gave me an Angie's List discount. Due to the size of the job I directly dealt the owner which I preferred.
