Description of Work: We had Chapman install a ceiling mounted heater in our warehouse around 2010-2011. We were very pleased and it is still working just fine. We have had repairs done more recently to another heater that was already in the building when we bought it. They are a little expensive, but they do good work.

Description of Work: They repaired my hot air gas furnace.Another firm was doing the routine yearly maintenance when the problem was intermittent. When they diagnosed the problem their tech said it was the motor that blew the exhaust gasses out the flue.He said the part alone was $800 and that he would rush the orde to ensure we had heat. I never heard from him again. When the part failed completely I called Chapman. Their tech concurred that it was the motor but that the condensation tray was faulty and that what was causing the motor to fail. He then went the extra step and made some calls and found out the unit was still under warranty and the parts were covered. He picked up the parts the same day but had some trouble installing them. The furnace would make a loud whistle when turned on. He got the parts supplier to bring new parts to my house and help him install them. |. I have used them again to replace a shutoff valve. When it continued to leak they immediately sent someone to fis it. |My only issue is that they charge approx. 70$ to just show up to see the problem but don't apply that amount to the final bill even if you have the work done.

Description of Work: Rough plumbing in basement. Great work. Great price. But there was lots of confusion and delay on the clerical end of things. It was often the case that the workers in the field and the clerks in the office had not updated each other in a timely way.

Thank you very much for contacting Chapman Bros. Your initial contact was on 8/29/15 thru the message board on Angies List. There were numerous messages back and forth from you to our office and back to discuss details of what needed to be done and arranging for an estimate. This was not of an urgent nature and the office advised you that someone would not be able to get out very quickly to give you estimate. This was acceptable. The contract for the following work was emailed to you on 9/24/15 While we respect your opinion, we honestly feel for all the work needed the price was more than fair. The following work was requested: Install the customers supplied laundry sink, two hose connections, connect to the waste line and tie vents in for the mens and womens room lavaratories. snake and jet the leader drains on the left side of the building. This is quite a laundry list and would require 2 men and possibly two days. Although you chose not to use Chapman we do appreciate your considering us and would welcome your business should you have the need in the future. Best, Chapman Bros.

Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting/contracting Chapman Bros to come to your home to perform a service. This service took place 1 year ago 7/8/2014. At that time we were running a promotion with Angies list, which you decided to use. You placed a call requesting an evaluation of whether or not your water softener was installed and functioning properly. It was determined by, our skilled technicians evaluation that it was in fact operating properly. While there, unrelated to your call, you had asked if he could look at your slow running pipe to the refridgerator, for drinking water. Our technician was kind enough to do so. There was a minor repair done to remedy this problem. There was no charge for this item. The only fee you were charged was the Service Fee which was clearly advertised thru Angies List and paid directly to Angies List. We also advised of the charge when you placed the call for an appointment. Although this service is not "extraordinary" it was a service you requested and we provided and fulfilled. I would also like to add that the additional work that was provided at no charge might be thought of as extraordinary these days :) Thank you again. Your friends at Chapman Bros. Description of Work: They replaced hot water heater. They quoted price including discarding the old heater. They had to do some extra work to reconfigure the vent to meet the new code. Work was done well, they cleaned up well and were very professional and polite. I think they price was high for the unit but I haven't replaced on in 10 years and did not get other quotes so have nothing to compare it to.
