Description of Work: Chapman--a firm I've used for 20 years--came the day I called, quickly diagnosed my problem and, even though my furnace is rather old, had the need part on the truck.

Description of Work: Repaired drain pipe for dish washer. It went well and had a better drain system at the end.

Description of Work: Chapman converted my heating system from oil to gas and installed a new tankless water heater. They were prompt, courteous, and left the work area spotless. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Tom and Bill answered all my questions. The office staff is great too. Last year they upgraded my old bath and installed a new master bath in my house. Everything went smoothly. I would definitely use again.

Description of Work: Chapman did all of the plumbing for our new bathroom. They also installed a wall furnace for us several years ago with which we are very pleased.

Description of Work: called them for an estimate on furnace job ---they came --gave me an approx price --not an estimate --and didn't seem interested in the job ---so that was it ---I never used them --but they have been around for a long time so I assume they are okay

Description of Work: I ordered the $59 Plumbing Diagnostic Service Call on 8/20. Today is 8/26 and I have not received a message from them. I am no longer interested in their services. I call the Angie rep who offered to contact the company. I declined.

Description of Work: Removed difficult blockage in sewer system. Everything went well. |Blockage removed after getting progressively larger snakes. Technician |did not give up, and eventually cleared the pipe.

Description of Work: 2 outdoor faucets were leaking, the pipe split on 1 from the previous winter. Came out on a Saturday to give a quote, then performed the work right there. Made sure the 1 wouldn't break again by installing more weather friendly flexible piping. Would hire for another job, very courteous and professional. Cleaned up after. Great experience, was hard to find any other plumber to even call back let alone show up so was very pleased.

Description of Work: They are not coming until Wednesday so can't answer quiz until job is done. Also, I am not related to this company.

Description of Work: Boiler flush and thorough inspection of steam heating system. They also replaced a hydronic loop pump in system (not cheap). They inspected the two whole house air conditioning units, changed the filters and went to warehouse and brought back a box of each of the filters. They were very professional and answered all my questions and spent almost 1/2 day in the house perfoming these tasks.

Description of Work: Major leak somewhere in my house. Chapman came on Sat (same day I called) without charging me for "week-end" appearance, found the leak, fixed it and pointed out other areas of concern noticed which should be addressed in future. I am VERY HAPPY with this company

Description of Work: I called them about needing an estimate to replace a water heater and getting washer -dryer hook up. I played phone tag with the receptionist/office manager for almost two days and when I was able to reach her she told me she would call back. It's been a couple of days and no return call.

Description of Work: Chapman Brothers was highly recommended by an electrician who has frequently worked with them. Bill came to our home to determine what renovation work we wanted to do and said he would respond the following day with an estimate. He told us that if we went with Chapman Bros. he would be able to start the work in approximately one week. At that point we had very positive vibes about the conversation with had with Bill that evening and were looking forward to getting his estimate. After 4 days of not hearing from him I called him and his answering service/office said she would pass along my message. Another 3 days went by and I made another follow-up call, still got no response. At that point I would have given up, but because of the previously mentioned strong recommendation I decided to give him one more chance. Spoke to the answering service again and they assurred me he would get back to me. That was a week ago. Had another plumber visit us last night who called back with an estimate this evening, and one hour later I called him back to agree to have him do the work. I am just very surprised that we did not at least get a courtesy phone call in return from Chapman Bros to tell us that he was uninterested in doing work with us. We feel this was VERY unprofessional.

Description of Work: Bill put in a siphon pump for me and it did save my basement when hurricane Irene hit.
