GROWING CONCERN INC

We were customers for 13 years and used Growing Concern to open/close our sprinklers. We have always had Paul as our service technician - he was excellent. The company changed our representative this year and it has been frustrating beyond belief. Initially, we were scheduled to be serviced a week out and when the day arrived, the technician did not come due to an "emergency." We contacted the offices to be rescheduled and were surprised that it would be another week between 3-5pm. The day came and went with nobody showing up at the house - No Call/No Show. The next morning we called the office and they were kind enough to return our call 36 hours later indicating that we would be rescheduled for 9 days later - a day that nobody was available to be home. I contacted the office on the Monday and was told the woman I needed to speak to was out, but would call me Tuesday.... I waited to lunch on Wednesday and called and spoke to Debbie who said she had hundreds of calls to make and would have gotten to me. I explained my frustration, our 13 years of loyalty and requested that they reschedule as to when our schedule permitted us to be home as the technician needs access to the basement and this was a new technician. I also requested that the service fee be waived this year as we are now going on a month later than the original scheduled date and through no fault of ours - we have had to reschedule 3 times, rearranged our schedule twice to accommodate the days they were "in our neighborhood" and they never even called the second time there was a cancellation. I was told in no uncertain terms that I would pay more if I wanted to shop the service, but they would not provide any discount and I could do what I wanted. So.... with great disappointment, I am leaving this review if for no other reason than to let the owners and potential future customers of Growing Concern in Cranbury NJ know that there are other options and to dismiss legitimate concerns of a 13 year customer that has previously recommended people to the company out of hand is unprofessional, lacking empathy and clearly demonstrates what is more important in the business/customer relationship. I will also be happy to discuss this with my neighbors as I am sure they will also be interested in new vendors that will be servicing the area.

I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. THE COMMUNITY THAT WE LIVE IN IS A GATED COMMUNITY & THE BOARD MAKES THE DECISIONS ABOUT WHO WE HIRE TO DO THE YARD MAINTENANCE. THIS COMPANY CHARGES VERY COMPETITIVE PRICES & THEY ALWAYS DO GOOD WORK.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY IS GOOD. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK THEY DID, I HAVE KNOWN THEM FOR 4 YEARS NOW AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
