If there is one word to describe Twins Masonry…it is “Awesome”. Mike is a great professional who takes pride in his work and makes his client feel like they are absolute rockstars. And his crew are as professional and attentive to the job as if they were the man in charge himself. We had an old backyard deck which was looking horrible and degrading fast (almost to the point of being dangerous.) With Mikes help, the deck was torn down, area graded, and a beautiful paving stone patio laid, giving us a space we can be proud of. We get nothing but compliments and love spending time in our backyard. If you’re looking for a mason in central NJ…call Mike.

I am extremely particular about the quality of work done for me and have in the past stopped jobs of others due to non quality. Nothing like that here. Twins just finished a paver patio and walkway at my home - beautiful! Mike and his crew did exactly what he said they would. No miscommunications. I was home for 3 days and watched the entire process and was more than pleased with their work ethic and the professionalism put in to the job. On time daily, cleaned up daily and completely when the job was finished. If you want a contractor that calls you back, will answer all of your questions, and will stand by the work provided, I highly recommend Twins Masonry.

Mike was great - very responsive and helpful. He redesigned the layout of our steps, which hadn't even occurred to us to do. The existing layout was awkward, his redesign gave us a nice little platform for a planter. It really set our steps apart from the houses around us. His crew removed our existing steps and stoop and rebuilt them with new brick and stone. We were very happy with the result. We had gotten quotes from three different masons and Mike's price was right in the middle. Mike's professionalism and responsiveness, along with the pictures he showed us of his previous jobs made it an easy decision to go with him, as opposed to the 'cheaper' mason. I highly recommend Mike and his crew.

Mike, Anthony and Mesea did a great job working on our house. It was a big job for us financially but much needed one after 10 years, and so we wanted to make sure we hired the right contractor. After meeting Mike three years ago through his father in-law, I called him up again when we were ready and he provided us a quote on the masonry related work requested for our house (see description of work above). From the first day he came out to see what we needed and take measurements, he was very professional, in not only listening to what we needed but providing some good insights on "how" he will do it, explaining the “right” way to do it, and “what he can also do” while working on our house, and came back with pricing for various options we discussed. Contracting was professional as well. There were adequate details of the work that we discussed and he allowed adequate time for feedback, negotiations and updates on the contract before finalizing it (wanted to ensure we were getting what we wanted and that we selected options that work best). From execution standpoint, the first thing I noticed was how "clean" they worked. After completing their work each day, Anthony and Mesea took the time to clean-up, put safety cones and tape to ensure no accidents (especially with our kids), and also removed all the debris and garbage from job in their truck (there was no container left in our driveway). Secondly, from an oversight standpoint, Mike was always there to provide guidance to team during the critical steps of the project. One key part of project that demonstrates this was when they finished installing waterproofing on the back portion of wall requested. We had some bad rain and I called Mike mentioning that we were still seeing some water spots through the wall from inside. He and Anthony immediately came over and found out that the problem was with the other part back wall that had been previously waterproofed (they checked to ensure there was no problem on side they had just waterproofed). Knowing that water issue was the main reason we wanted to performed this project, he had his team also took the time to also water proof part of the back wall where problem was noted that was already waterproofed previously with their much better waterproofing material and also rerouted our back downspout underground to street to ensure water goes away from house. He also performed some additional bonus services (cutting two shrubs, connecting front and back downspouts to an underground drain pipe to street and added a wall in front of basement windows to protect from water as mention above in the description of work). What I also liked is that Mike is not the type to nickel and dime you for unforeseen work that he felt was required to do job right and was reasonable. Anthony and Mesea worked in extreme weather conditions (i.e., during heat wave in July/August 2018 of 92+ degrees) and had to do some intense manual labor (cracking our unusually thick concrete patio and manual digging with just a shovel to install water proofing) Despite this, they did put in the time to get the job properly done without cutting corners. Another example of Mike's oversight was when team shared a picture of the initial cut of pavers for the front walkway, he wasn't satisfied with how it looked (knowing it's front of house) and had the team redo it to his specifications (It looked ok to us already but Mike said it would look even better when they redo it =). Finally, Mike and his team did a great job keeping us up to date with progress when we were away on vacation (sending daily pictures and also pointing out any challenges and how they resolve them. Overall, it was great experience working with Mike, Anthony and Mesea as Twins Masonry is a Company that can be trusted (family business that's has been around for generations) and who we felt was working in our best interest doing job the right way and at a fair price. I would recommend Mike and Twins Masonry for anyone who is looking to do work on their house.

Mike was great. He and his crew came when they said they would, worked hard in the heat and were extremely responsive to my questions. They did beautiful wort and I am so proud of the way my home looks.

Excellent. Mike came by for the estimate and once again to explain the work. The worked started on time on a Monday morning and ended on Tuesday afternoon, just as Mike had estimated. Two of his men did the work and Mike supervised. All very professional. The patching/repair on the walls was done perfectly and the new walkways look great. All matching the style of the house and property, as we requested. All work done on time and on budget, just as he described it. And, he's a very friendly guy. Would highly recommend.

Excellent. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable and the project was completed expeditiously, and the quality of work exceeded my expectations. Twins was neat and courteous and I would highly recommend them.

The stairs came out amazing. They created 3x 12" steps where there used to be 3-1/2x 10" steps & made a smooth transition to the driveway. They really did this job right and really exceeded our expectations--it was closer to a rebuild than a repair. On the walkway in the front, they pulled out about 6 feet of the existing brick path and created a smooth grade to make the path transition straight to the driveway. From a safety perspective, this is a significant improvement. They cut out a piece of our driveway by the basement door and poured concrete there as well so that water wouldn't collect near the foundation. It rained last night and so far so good. The water is pooling away from the basement doors. They filled in some cracks in the cement/limestone on the front steps to help us get a some more time out of them. We're loyal customers when we find someone we like. We found our electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc. through Angie's List. Now we've found our mason--no doubt about it.

They didn't show up, and they were non-responsive. I would give them an F.

Perfect! Twins Masonry removed all sheetrock, floors, fixtures, and my tub. They replaced it with new sheetrock green board, installed new tile, dhowerpan, vanity, mirror, toilet, light fixtures, shower doors, vent with heater. Twins Masonry supplied all the sheetrock, lumber, paint, labor, plumbing, and electric. They treated my home with respect, although major work was being done, my place was dust free and clean everyday upon my arrival from work (they are also pet friendly). I am very happy with the results, it surpassed expectations.

Great - we ended up paying a little more than intended because the original stairs were in worse shape than we all though, but the additional cost seemed fair and reasonable.

It went very well. There was a delay for a few days due to heavy rain, which is understandable since the work he was doing was outdoors. Other than delays due to the weather, he and his workers were punctual, and they worked hard and were conscientious. They completed their project within the time frame he estimated.

Though I got 2 other estimates prior, I immediately knew Mike and Twins Masonry was who I wanted to do the job. We have a Mother/Daughter home with 2 sets of steps the smaller one needed repair and the larger one needed steps, landing and railing rebuilt. Mike instantly understood what I wanted done and gave me options. He effectively worked around a needed termite treatment, freezing weather and 2 days of rain and still managed to complete the job in less than a week's time. Mike kept me informed the entire time even while I was at work, over an hour away. The price was excellent. Love the work Twins did. MIKE is more than a Mason, he is Craftsman the likes of which is not easily found these days!

The front steps on my mother's split level house in Westfield were dangerously in need of repair. We called Twins for an estimate and Mike came out promptly as per our appointment. Mike took plenty of time to assess the situation and came up with two options for us. He gave us a quote for replacing the whole steps and front porch along with a quote for doing major repairs. He seemed genuinely interested in doing a quality job in line with our budget and my mother and I both trusted him at once. We opted to have the steps repaired and Mike ended up being able to do the job in a few days rather than the three weeks initially quoted. Twins Masonry turned out to be a great choice! They removed the bluestone steps and rebuilt the support under them eventually replacing our original bluestone. The original railings were removed and replaced when the job was complete. Twins actually went above and beyond, re-cementing the front porch and the planters surrounding the steps. We are very pleased with the results of Twins work. The job took about two days to complete and the house now has good looking, secure front steps, porch and surrounding planters. Mike did more than he said he would do and did not charge more than his estimate. I would not hesitate to recommend Twins Masonry to anyone in the area needing masonry work.

Very professional and beautiful job. Mike and his crew demolished my old patio and put down brand new pavers with a fancy medallion in the center.

They did a fantastic job! They were on time and followed up with me everyday until he was finished with the job to ensure everything was going smoothly. They accommodated for my dogs during the construction by making a runway so they could get from the living room to the deck to their automated doggie door without disrupting the kitchen.? I also had estimates from other companies and their estimate was a bit lower and included more work.? I would highly recommend them and would use them again in the future.

Twins Masonry was EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT!!! . The crew was here every day (weather permitting) bright and early working to get this project completed. They did an amazing job replacing the stone steps on the front of our home, laid a beautiful paver walkway from the steps to the driveway and re-poured my front sidewalks including our driveway apron. Their attention to detail was wonderful and we couldn't be happier with the result. I would absolutely recommend Twins Masonry to all my friends and family. The guys are courteous and left us with nothing to clean up. I have other projects in mind and can't wait to get them back here.

We are very pleased with the care he put into the planning and his masonry expertise. Throughout the process, Mike took his time to make sure he understood what we wanted the house to look like. We loved that he worked with us to make decisions on the best way to handle problems that came up during the renovation. Mike has a good sense of the use of his skills.
