Gary and his team at High Tech Roofing were by far the best contractors we ever hired! The guys were professional, courteous and always showed up when they said they would. Best of all the job was completed on time and was done perfectly! In addition, we paid the exact amount that was on their estimate...there were no hidden fees or additional costs that you see so often with other providers. We would definitely recommend them to everyone who needs roof work done. A++++

We received bids from several roofers and were about to settle for one until Gary came. Knowing we were ready to pick someone, he offered to come out immediately. He spent the time to measure and explained everything about the job including reviewing things the other roofers hadn't even discussed. He was able to turn around the quote the same day and beat everyone's price! - most others took 4-5 days just to get back to us. We told Gary that we were anxious to get started as soon as possible and he was able to make it happen. He said he could start in one week. I know this may not always happen but he actually had listened to us and made the effort to make it happen. Once his crew came, they got right to the job with no horsing around. Gary would always come by to make sure everything was being done correctly and to help with any issues. The entire job took 3 days in a row to complete and everything came out the way we wanted. Gary Brandt treated us like we were friends, not just a customer. I would recomend Gary to anyone that needs a new roof, gutters, windows, or siding. The business consists of him, and three workers, not a company with 40 different employees and an estimator that you never see again. He made the entire project stress free, and at an amazing value.

High Tech Roofing begged for a chance to prove themselves a quality roofing company after we got off to a very rocky start with communication. We were at our wits end, with water coming through our kitchen and needing our roof repaired. After finally being able to meet up and discuss our needs vs their availability, we signed a contract in November. We had to wait all winter until March for the weather to cooperate so High Tech could start. When they were finally supposed to start on a Friday, that got pushed to Saturday. I took off from work to be there when they started on Friday and we didn't find out until mid-morning on Friday that they weren't coming. They did show up on Saturday, but only worked for maybe 4-5 hours. Didn't show up on Sunday. Worked Monday and Tuesday and finished the job by Tuesday. I was impressed by how quickly they did the job and how clean they left the property. I would have appreciated a little more clear communication especially when taking time off from work was involved, but I'm not very good at "going with the flow" in general. If a person is, than I'm sure this would not bother them.

The estimate process went great! Although I did not end up using High Tech Roofing/Blindt Home Remodeling for my new roof, I would definitely highly recommend for anyone looking for a great company!

Gary Blindt who owns and runs the company was honest and did the job he said he would do for the price quoted. He was on the job most days but should have probably been on the job with his guys a little more. The job was done down town in Westfield at a commercial building but essentially a colonial building much like a big house. We used Owens Corning dimensional shingles, much like Timberline and the job came out great. Only hitch was he pushed to get job started in January and while he got it mostly done, we had to wait till May to complete the job because of snow. We should have started in March or April not January.

Every thing went well. Mr Gary gave me the estimate in very detail, how and what he is going to do. We scheduled the date to do the job. Working screw came on time and did good job on timely manner. did good cleaning also. I would definatly use him again.

Gary came the next day I got in touch with him to our house to give us an estimate. Gary has a strong opinion of how things need to be done, like which tiles are the best (he won't do anything else). His quotation was middle of the road: I got a more expensive one, by $1,000, and a cheaper one, by $1,000. But Gary did not try to sell cheaper tiles like for the cheapest quotation we got. So we went with him. We had to wait for ~ 3 months until he could start the work: he is obviously very busy. To alleviate our concerns about the leaks he offered to install a cover over the leaking half of the roof at no charge (another contractor requested $300), which he put in place right away. That actually worked very well and the wait turned out not to be an issue. There is little to add to what other reviewers have said: my experience match theirs. Very professional, quality work, thorough cleaning (quite impressive that we never found even a left over nail considering the amount of junk that was dump from the roof), and his team seem to enjoy their work. The repair was performed in August and we've had some good rain since. The leaks are gone and we are completely satisfied with the work. I highly recommend his company for roof work. Thierry

Gary Blindt gave us great service at a phenomenal price. Professional service from him and his crew- a special thank you to his crew member Kiko. Straightforward, no last minute changes or confusion. A fantastic job from start to finish and they left my yard and house spotless at the end. Our roof looks fantastic and we know that there will be no issues for decades. Gary is very responsive as well; will definitely refer to others looking for roofing or siding work to be done. Thank you.

It took some time for them to start given Gary's backlog of jobs but I wasn't in a rush so it wasn't a problem. I think if you have an emergency, they will help you since they had to work on another job for 1-2 days in the middle of my job. Once the crew started, it went smoothly. They cleaned up every night and left things in neat piles. Gary was assessable throughout the 2 weeks and very responsive. The crew was great. Price was very competitive.

We decided to give High Tech one more chance because we are desperate to fix our roof. My husband called a second time. Owner said he recognized our address from our first critical review and said he was upset by it. Said he wanted to make it up to us and that he would come by in a couple of days (we called Thursday, he said he would come Saturday). He asked if we could amend or take down our first review of statement that he never showed up. I would have been more than willing, except for a second time he again did not show up and again did not call to reschedule or explain. Not sure how High Tech expects to do a fair and honest business when twice in a row you fail to keep an appointment with no word of apology. We wish we could rate High Tech on actual roofing work but we will never get the chance.

They inspected the roof from the outside and from in the attic. They protected my gardens, and made sure not to throw the debris down as they were working. They bagged it up on top of the roof and threw it down directly into the truck. They went all over my property cleaning up any debris that did fall, and they used a magnetic device to pick up any nails. They did a magnificent job, and the price was phenomenal.

They did a good job. They are good with their service. They worked hard and were on time.

I called Mr. Gary Blindt to inquire about an estimate to repair my father's roof. Mr. Blindt went to my father's house inspected the roof and provided my brother a written estimate within one week, which was a far cry from another company giving an outrageous estimate over the phone based on the fact that it is a two family house. Mr. Blindt's crew arrived as agreed early Monday morning and completed the job in the two days as indicated. The crew was very professional, clean and does quality work. My family and I would definetly recommend and utilize their service again.

Gary was very prompt in giving me the original estimate last November. Unfortunately, due to the severe drop in temperatures he was unable to do the job until this spring. He went above and beyond to keep in touch with me every day, if only to share the weather report and whether or not his men would be there. They arrived early and were very professional. The job took about 2-1/2 days in total, working around the weather. It rained after they started and they made certain to cover and weigh down a tarp over any exposed areas. I am very pleased with the way the entire job was handled and have told Gary to put me on his calendar for window replacements. I would highly recommend High Tech to anyone. It was amazing. Gary's crew was prompt, started on time and went right to it. They were professional, courteous and careful to clean up all debris. Constantly picking up nails and materials and discarding them immediately. It was refreshing to have someone you didn't have to watch. Gary kept in constant contact with me, calling to make sure everything was going as planned. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I was impressed with the guy from the beginning. At night on a Sunday night, he had issues with his computer and came to my house just to sort out our contract. He is very dedicated to his work and I like that. He had a very competitive estimate. I really appreciated how detailed his estimate was. It was 3 pages long and described exactly how he would do everything. He gave me the best advice on what kind of materials to choose for the job, and even installed my new gutters free of charge for labor. He and the crew not only did a good job but they were very nice and polite. They cleaned up everything every day after their work was done. I would recommend him to anyone I know.

Quick! Gary did not try to sell me a new roof, he found the problem quick and promised it an easy fix.Honest! Saved my house! Inside damage is small just a little paint needed when I could have lost my ceilings in 3 rooms had I not had the tarp on the roof right away. That is great service and good to know there's someone you can call for an emergency! Thanks Gary!!!!

Gary responded within days of my request for an estimate. After I accepted the job, he told me approximately when he could begin the work. The work started on the day he specified. His team arrived promptly on schedule. I must say that his workers were industrious and very respectful. Since there were already two layers of old roofing on my house, they had to first strip down to the wood. Before applying the new roof, his team repaired any part of the roof damaged by wind or water. The job took three days and every day, before the team left, they cleaned up after themselves. Whenever I looked outside, they were working. When the job was finished, the foreman asked me to inspect the premises to be sure that it was cleaned to my satisfaction. The new roof looks great. I can't compliment Gary and his team enough. I would highly recommend him. He is true to his word and the final payment was exactly as he described in his estimate.

Gary and his team did a great job on my roof. I had them do a total tear off and new roof for the house and garage. Gary explained in detail all the work that needed to be done and provided all this in a comprehensive write up as well. He an his crew showed up on time, did an excellent job and were both courteous and professional. Gary gave a very fair price, and did a quality job. Will definitely use them again as I have plans to get the gutters and siding done on my house over the next two years.

I had severe damage to my roof caused by Hurricane Sandy and needed some repairs ASAP. I had called MANY roofers and found it impossible to get anyone to come and even offer me an estimate. One roofer did show and placed a temporary fabric patch to assure that I wouldn't have any water coming through the damaged area.. - but he never came back! His temporary patch only held for several weeks and I still was unable to find a roofer that wasn't already overwhelmed with work. That's when I decided to use Angie's List, and I came across good reviews for High Tech Roofing / Gary Blindt. Gary promptly returned my phone call and although he too was extremely busy, he made the time to visit my home. The first thing he did was to expertly install a boarded patch which he assured would NOT blow off as did the early band aid patch. He explained that he couldn't get to the job until mid June, but he guaranteed that HIS patch would hold until he did the job. He did NOT charge me any money at all for the patch, which by the way, did hold up as Gary stated it would. He showed on time in June and within three days completed the job expertly and at the agreed pricing. We were so pleased with the work that we also had Gary replace all the shutters on my home. Again, expertly installed and never any pricing issues. I will continue to use Gary Blindt's services in the future and obviously, offer my highest recommendations.

Gary and his crew did an excellent job installing beautiful new roofs on our house, garage and shed. He was very professional and courteous in responding to our email requests, and he spent quite some time in doing research on various uncommon special shingles that we had asked him about. Eventually, we found that the exact shingles that he had recommended us from the very beginning offered the best tradeoff between durability, look and price. He arrived promptly with his crew, and he had them clean up after the job was finished. The inspector from the township praised their work as a "nice job". We got four estimates for our roof. Gary was the only one who recommended us the less pricey re-roof option instead of the much more expensive tear-off. Since the other three companies strongly recommended us the tear-off option, we were hesitant to take this less costly path. However, two other contractors (an energy auditor who used to work as a roofer, as well as a chimney guy) confirmed Gary's statement that our roof was in perfect condition for a re-roof without tear-off. I greatly appreciate Gary's honesty, which saved us between $2000 and $4000 in comparison to a tear-off that we would probably never have recouped. All in all, I can highly recommend Gary and his crew.
