Description of Work: Sent someone out and was supposed to do an estimate first. Worker came in as if they were just putting an outlet in. Received a call a week later that someone would be out to do an estimate and give me a timeframe. Receieved another call, they explained to me that their emails do come in the junk mail. Sending someone out right away.

Description of Work: The Urbano crew removed knob and tube wiring in our home. They did a terrific, clean job, made the smallest possible cuts in the walls (and neatly patched them), and came in slightly below their lowest written estimate when the job was complete. This company was the ONLY ONE of several we had contacted that actually did a thorough inspection and explanation of the work to be done. I would highly recommend.

Description of Work: We were familiar with Urbano Electric because they are a local contractor. When our elderly friend experienced a circuit breaker problem, we called Urbano on her behalf. Steve from Urbano called within minutes, and was at our neighbors home in less than 30 minutes. Steve secured the emergency situation and corrected the immediate issue. This emergency visit was a great comfort to our neighbor, and the $100 charge (approx.) was so reasonable for the immediate response and expert repairs. Steve gave our friend an estimate for a much needed breaker box replacement, and that work was completed after permits were obtained. Cost of this service was approx. $1400. Urbana did not leave the property until they had assured our friend that all electricity in the house (lights, tv, etc) was in working order. Again, the peace of mind they left her with was worth every affordable cent! Because of our favorable opinion on Urbano's response with our neighbor, we called them for an electrical problem this week. We had an appointment in two days and the problem was corrected for under $200. Will definitely have Urbano on speed-dial for future reference. Wholeheartedly recommend this contractor.

Description of Work: Replaced all knob and tube wiring in our 1923 home. Steve was able to fish all the wiring, leaving our plaster walls undamaged. We purchased updated lighting fixtures to replace some of our older ones, and they installed them at no additional charge while they were rewiring. They were on time every day, very professional, cleaned up everything daily, and were wonderful to work with. The actual price charged was less than the written estimate, as they finished the job earlier than anticipated and reduced the amount accordingly.

They have another electrician working for them as well. I have used one son twice and an employee once. It is a wonderful family and their work is perfect. They are very considerate and very clean.
Description of Work: Pete Urbano Jr. installed an attic fan 3 years ago. the motor just died within the 5 year warranty period (installation is not included by the warranty) and Pete Jr. came back and for a very minimal service charge replaced the fan motor. He also replaced a smoke/carbon monoxide detector for me recently at a very fair price.

 + -1 moreHe was very clean. He did quality work. The price was high. I don’t think any electricians come cheap. He was meticulous about the quality of the work. I used him once also on a rental property. It was fine. It was on a PCO basis. They don’t give you a price ahead of time. They just give you as the meter runs. I would give him probably high ratings on that one because it was actually done and because I was able to monitor it all the way through. I was not monitoring the recessed lighting on three fourth of the house at that time.
