Precise, Thoughtful, Meticulous & Courteous are the words I would use to describe Marc Walker of Inches & Yards. When you live in a mature neighborhood where the average home is approximately 100 years old, you are constantly faced with the choice of repair or replace when things go wrong. It's not always obvious what the smart decision is, so we have to rely on the opinions of the contractors we hire. With Marc, I never second guess his recommendations. Once the work has actually started, Marc is meticulous about both the work and the work space. He never forgets that he's working where you're living. We have used Inches & Yards on a few occasions and have always felt like the completed work is beyond our expectations. Marc is unfazed by every "can of worms" that is opened when you get into a project in an old house. He adjusts and, we think performs magic. Our friends have been amazed at how perfect our crown molding is installed - even in the area with wavy plaster walls. I cannot say enough about the quality of Marc Walker's work. I have recommended Inches & Yards to many people already and will continue without hesitation.

We live in a 105 year old house, so all of our home projects are usually more complex than most people’s. Marc Walker, the owner of Inches and Yards, helped us out tremendously with replacing our kitchen floor (about 600 square feet). Our old floor was poorly tiled right over our subfloor, with no hardibacker, so it was a nightmare to pull up, and we knew we couldn’t do it ourselves. Marc came over, quickly assessed our situation, and gave us what I thought was a fair quote. What I didn’t know was just how fast Marc worked. He got this difficult job done in just 2 1/2 days. I thought we were going to be without use of our kitchen for much longer!! The time he saved us was definitely worth more than he charged. I will definitely call Marc for future jobs, and I highly recommend him to others. Not only is he an efficient worker, he also has a great eye for design. I am so happy with our finished floor!
