Tools To The Rescue

Rudy gave us a fair quote, but we decided to go with another contractor because we needed cable moved and he could not provide that service. Rudy was on time and very pleasant. He was very professional. I think his quote was more than fair.

I called Rudy about a painting hanging project - a fairly big one: 19 Painting of various sizes (including long mural paintings), wall tapestries and wood murals...Very professional service,: Rudy likes to get the job done correctly...Very well pleased and I highly recommend Rudy!

It went really well. He was able to sister new 2x10's to the existing lumber to help secure the floor and even out the plane. Additionally, they were able to work with and around all the electrical wiring in my basement which ran through the old damaged pieces. They were extremely easy to talk to and I was able to understand exactly what was going on. And they cleaned up after the work was done. Will definitely use again in the future.

The handyman came to see what we wanted done and to discuss the jobs with us (explained above). He explained some options for us to consider in our thinking about the job. We decided on the specifics of what we wanted. He told us that he would find out the cost of the materials needed, and then let us know the costs of the various items and the total cost. The estimate of the cost was very fair, so we agreed on the date on which he would do the job. He showed up on time on the date that we had settled on. He was friendly, accomplished the work professionally, and cleaned up the work area very nicely. We will definitely use Tools To The Rescue again for other handyman's jobs in the future.

We recently took down a horrible excuse for a deck. As such, we needed a new construction so we could use our back entrance. I had a clear idea of what I wanted. I didn't want a new deck, just an ample landing with stairs. I found Rudy on Angie's List and called him in for an estimate. I chose him because he provides a variety of services, and my house has a number of "to do" construction needs in its immediate future. Rudy was responsive, professional and helpful from the start. After he got back to me with an estimate (on this and another future project), we tentatively scheduled a start date as I was still in the process of getting the scrap from the old deck removed. But, as it happened, Rudy had an opening earlier than expected and was able to start the project sooner. He was willing to work around the piles of debris to get the cement set for the supports. The best thing about the experience was that he took my idea and made it happen. He made minor adjustments to our original "design" along the way (always clearing them with me first) that provided me with exactly what I had envisioned in my head, if not on paper. He and his co-builder were always punctual and professional and worked quickly and efficiently. The site was cleaned up each day and, through the open windows I could hear them consulting each other, working to give me a sturdy, soundly constructed structure. (I even heartily approved to the music they listened to while they worked!) I am so please with the results. I look forward to using Tools to the Rescue in the future.

The time he was here it went fine. BUT when I called for a second visit, I never got a return call.

Both projects came out great. He did a great job. We felt comfortable leaving the key with him - he's totally trustworthy. He works hard and does a good job. The only drawback is he is in high demand so sometimes he has to juggle jobs and it's hard for him to fit us in. Obviously it's because he's sought after as a contractor/handy man. We will definitely use him again.

The two men who came to do the work took their time, and did a careful and thorough job. I was really pleased with the result. They were punctual and professional. The work was of very good quality. Rudy installed the windows quickly. I thought that it was going to take him a long time (just by the looks because the windows must have been over 50 years old) but they were done in a short amount of time. No mess was left, as he's always tidy.

Rudy's pricing was very reasonable. once we agreed to start the project he was on time everyday, was thorough in work each day and cleaned up well after each work day. The work was quality, done timely and he was very easy to work with. Will definitely use him again for projects at my house.

Rudy met his appointment and looked at the scope of work. Asked logical questions and offered possibilities and explained how the work will be performed. I received a quote the following day. After getting one other quote, Tools to the Rescue was the most reasonable. Rudy has done some other work for me and I've been very happy with the service and quality of the end result. After three applications of spackle the wall is sanded, smooth and ready for paint.

"Tools To The Rescue" met our expectations. Rudy listened well as we explained what our needs were, and he offered realistic, helpful suggestions, bearing in mind that we are on a tight budget. We were not able to have the job done right away, but when we called back we and Rudy agreed on a date for the work to be done. Rudy showed up on time, and he was quite pleasant as well as very professional. The bottom line? We have already discussed other jobs that we will to use "Tools To The Rescue" for.

Rudy was very easy to work with, he showed up promptly to give the estimate and within a week came back to paint the Shed. He was a very neat worker and the Shed looked brand new when he completed the job. He will be returning to do more in my home and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good worker. His pricing was very fair for the amount of work required.

We had a ceiling leak. Once we found and stopped the source of the leak, we needed a big part of the ceiling replaced. Rudy did this job for us fast and very well, and for a very reasonable price. At the same time we also were replacing some outdoor trim that was aged and falling apart. He put it up for us and painted it, and it came out beautifully. The only reason I gave him a B for punctuality is that he is so in demand that he has trouble juggling jobs. We've had to reschedule on subsequent jobs once or twice. But for the quality and price I feel this is a pretty small tradeoff. Not a really big deal. Plus he's a really great guy.

Overall Rudy was great. He was quick to respond and easy to contact. He was reliable professional accommodating and we were happy with the end product. He also took the time to explain the best way to complete our finished basement project. My husband and I would definitely work with him again

Instead of Tools to the Rescue, this guy should be called Fool to the Rescue. This guy came shaking and all nervous to give me my estimate. He gave me 3 different prices on the same job and then when I asked him about it, he was all sorts of confused. He came to give me an estimate on Monday. He said he would call me that night with a quote. He called me on Wednesday with a price for half the job. I then called him Saturday and left him a message to see what had happened. He called me hours later with some lame excuse. I could hear right through this guy's voice he was lying. Their is nothing worse that being lied to especially by someone I am opening my doors to do work in my home.

Rudy was extremely professional, responsive, and reasonably priced. Some of our old door frames even gave him a hard time, but he didn't charge us any extra! His work is fantastic and everything looks great! He consulted me on everything before he proceeded to make sure we were OK with his plans. He also made sure to give us instructions on what to get before he came to save us some money, if we chose. We will definitely be giving him a call for our next round of projects around the house!

Although, I chose to employ a friend out of work, Rudy was very professional throughout the quoting process. He returned my calls promptly and made a sincere effort to meet with me at a convenient time. He even pointed out an area of concern that my landlord needs to address. Should I need any similar work done in the future, Rudy will be at the top of my list.

Rudy did a great job and was a pleasure to work with. He was on time to provide an estimate and he took the time to explain the work that was needed to be done. He answered all of our questions and provided us with a very competitive price! Although his schedule was booked, he was able to squeeze us in quickly since we were selling our house. The day of the job he showed up on time and was neat, clean and respectful of our home. He performed the work as described and cleaned up after he was done. The final product exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased and would highly recommend Rudy and Tools to the Rescue to anyone that needs handyman help around your house! Excellent job!

Great job done by Rudy and his assistant. Extremely responsive to my questions. Completed the job in only 4 days all the while doing quality work. I'm planning on hiring him again very soon!

I called Rudy for emergency help fixing an exterior door in our new house. We couldn't close it and, even if we could, the locks didn't line up with the holes on the frame. Wide open, it was basically an invitation to rob us. Even though Rudy was booked solid for two weeks, he recognized the nature of the emergency and stopped by after his other job ended for the day... at 5 p.m. on a Friday. Who does that?!? Not only did Rudy come over with less than 24 hours notice, he was also professional and friendly, and he did a great job fixing the problem (which actually turned out to be tough to fix). Our door closes and locks! Not the biggest of jobs, but it made us very happy to feel safe! Thank you, Rudy! I will definitely be calling him again.
