Tools To The Rescue

Rudy washed and sealed my wood deck and scraped and repaired the foundation of my home. He matched the old paint and repainted the whole foundation. They both look wonderful and I was very pleased. He does a great job whether it is a large or small project.

We are very happy with Rudy for his "rescue" work with our storm door, literally. We called him to fix the storm door that was not installed properly. When Rudy came, he knew immediately what the problem was. We wanted to return the door to Home Depot for refund but didn't know how we could fit the door into our car. To my surprise, Rudy offered to take me to Home Depot right away to return the door and purchase a new, improved Anderson door there. He recommended the door that would work with our home. Our front door is somewhat crooked because it is an old house. But somehow Rudy managed to fit it in the door beautifully. He was very competent, professional and organized. He charged us a very reasonable price. The storm door looks great now! Thank you, Rudy, for a wonderful job and help!

Got a call back right away and a very quick estimate and scheduling date. He explained what he was going to do and did warn about possible extra costs (which turned out not to be necessary). All stairs and risers had to be replaced. He showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up all debris and swept up behind his work. No extra costs - what was estimated was what I paid. The stairs are solid and look great. Will be calling him again to do more deck work and repairs/painting inside. Finally! A trustworthy handyman!

Rudy was professional, courteous, honest and prompt. The stairs were repaired well and he cleaned up so well that you couldn't find a trace of the materials. Perfect job!

I was laid up with a bad staff infection and unable to get to any summer projects so I decided to try a handyman service. Rudy has so many great reviews on Angie's list he was the first guy I called, He returned my call promptly and came out to the house that week. This wasn't an emergency so I told him that there was no real rush. Within a week he returned. He ripped out some old screening around my porch and installed T-111 paneling to keep the squirrels out of my porch. Then he re-sheetrocked an area of my ceiling where there was a water leak from an upstairs shower drain I felt so good about him I paid him in full at the end of the day, even though the sheetrock needed another round of texturing to be completed. Sure enough, good to his word, he was back two days later and finished up the sprackling. His work is excellent too. The T-111 he installed was cut so well it would have made a finished carpenter proud, and you can't find a seam on the sheetrock job I would not bother going to anyone else if Rudy is available.

Rudy from Tools To The Rescue was great. He came in looked at the scope of the job job, took measurements and gave us a fair estimate. He was on time, thorough and completed the work in a timely and efficient manner. We were very satisfied with his work and would hire him again.

I found Rudy on here and he had good ratings so I called him and was very happy I did. I needed about a 1/2 dozen things done at my house. I had a broken wooden step inside my house and a few other things to be done as a prep'd my house for a new potential tenant. Rudy did a great job, it was a tricky situation and not as easy as just pop'ing up the wooden step to get underneath for supporrt (like an untrained eye may think) but I put my trust in him and not only did he fix it but he did a great job and it's in better shape then it was when originally put together back in the day. He also fixed a few minor things around the house I knew I would screw up if I tried myself. Great job, and I will definitely be calling him back when needed.

Rudy came quickly to my rescue after a plumber had thawed a frozen pipe. He went into a very narrow crawl space on about the coldest day of the year and installed insulation--which he had pre-purchased on my behalf. He helped me understand options, was friendly and easy to talk to. He found a hole approximately the size of a woodchuck in my crawl space foundation, and used rocks and other available construction debris to plug it inexpensively for me. I would definitely ask for his help again.

We continue to call whenever something arises that needs to be fixed. He is honest and will NOT make you spend more if he knows of a better way to fix something than you had in mind. He does not waste time. He gets the job done efficiently, and he never leaves a mess. Additionally, he comes when he says and does NOT waste your time. Also, he is polite. We will continue to use him.

Rudy came with a helper and removed all the old floorboards from our front porch. They also replaced a joist under the floor that was rotting. They found some old antique bottles from under the floor and gave them to me. They then put a new floor down. Rudy is very easy to work with and always answers phone calls promptly. He informs you of all possibilities with a project and then tells you what is most economical and what is the most long-lasting solution to the problem. I first asked him to do several small jobs for me last year and was very impressed by his attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and the speed with which he accomplished the work. When Rudy comes to do a job, he gets right to it and works efficiently. He also cleans up all litter from the job.

Rudy is a decent contractor, who does his best to meet deadlines and complete work assignments.

I want to thank Rudy for his honesty. Although there was one piece of work he could do (fixing the mechanical doorbell), he explained that it would be expensive to charge me for just a little job. He would rather that when he is around my area, just drop by and do this part of the work. In that way, he would not have to charge me so much.

Rudy is an absolute godsend. Every homeowner -- especially an owner of a 100+ year old house like mine -- needs a handyman who is honest, skillful, and reasonably priced. Rudy is all of these, and super nice to boot. He answered my call promptly and was exactly on time when he came to give me an estimate and when he came to do the work. His work was neat and precise -- he's a real perfectionist. I actually feel relieved to have found Rudy, and I will definitely be calling him for future jobs.

I wish that I had found Rudy from Tools to the Rescue years ago. My 100 plus year old house always has a small to medium sized repair project. From the first call back (within a few minutes after leaving a message) through the completion of the various jobs, Rudy was polite, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail. Rudy repaired a hole in our Brazilian cherry Hardwood Floor. Although the wood was very hard, he managed to remove the old planks ,and replace with new pieces. No one will ever have a clue that the area was repaired. His work was perfect. The repair of the porch foundation was skillfully and quickly completed as was the work on the closet. Ruddy is extremely neat, considerate of our space, showed up exactly when he said he would and completed multiple projects within a short time frame. I've already contacted Tools to the Rescue to do additional home repairs for me.

The provider never return call so I wouldn't waste my time with a provider who doesn't return call.

Rudy was punctual, reliable , and a perfectionist . Our doors look great. He was also kind enough to follow up a week later. We will definitely use him again!

I contacted Rudy and received a response immediately. He came to my home the next business day and provided an estimate which was fair considering other estimates received for half the work needed. Ultimately Rudy installed backsplash, wood blinds which were custom fit to size and other work. I am beyond pleased with the work, professionalism the fact the the work was completed in a timely fashion. Rudy even followed up several days later to make sure everything was to my liking!

Rudy is exceptional. He shows up on time, he is very thoughtful in deciding on the best approach, and he talks it through with you before he gives a final estimate. He is very honest and tells you what he can do and what he can't. That is the reason I went with him after some bad experiences with previous contractors promising the world and delivering much less. He actually does the work himself so I did not have to worry about a subcontractor showing up and not sure what the job is. If you want the job done right at a reasonable cost - call Rudy. As a matter of fact I have some more work for him and will continue to use him whenever I have a need. Thanks again Rudy!!!

Rudy arrived on time for the estimate and for the work. His price was fair; not the most expensive, not the least expensive either. He charged exactly what he said he would. He bought all the necessary items (hose for dehumidifier, vents, etc.) which was a big help so I didn't have to go to the hardware store and figure out what to buy. He and his assistant were friendly, cleaned up well, and were very professional. The work he performed was excellent. Will definitely use him again!

The plaster ceiling fell and to make the job even harder it was at the top of the stairs on the 2nd floor. Rudy and his associate arrived on time. They got busy right away and got the Sheetrock up, taped and spackled. They also spackled part of the wall that needed it and are waiting for me to select a color and they will come back to paint the entire wall. They came back the next day to finish cleaning up. Rudy brought his shop.vac as my vacuum didn't work too well on the plaster. He was nice enough to even take all the old plaster away for me. I'll definitely hire Rudy again. He did a beautiful job at a fair price.

Rudy and his assistant came when they said they would. They spent about an hour working on the job. They were good communicators about the problems with the doorknobs and then fixed them to our satisfaction.

All went well. The contractor completely removed all windows and blocked up 3 old windows. The contractor also provided mortar support to my front handrails without any additional cost. The contractor cleaned up the basement after the job was done.
