Tools To The Rescue

Rudy and his team are always prompt, courteous and professional. This is the third time I've hired them, and they always do always do a fantastic job! This time I was having my front porch sanded and painted. This was a porch that's been covered by rugs for many years, so the old glue had to be removed, and two coats had to be added to the porch. As part of the same job, I needed a ceiling fan replaced in my daughter's room. I bought the fan myself and Rudy's team put the new one in and removed the old one. It works perfectly now.

Owner came out and was great. Did the job quick, good price and cleaned up the job even more than I expected by spackling around the area he worked.

Rudy was excellent from the start to finish! He returned calls/texts promptly, arrived on time each morning and went right to work. He exemplifies professionalism, courtesy, and top notch quality! Since I was undecided with color selection, he displayed patience and assistance with down to the last minute! The ink hadn't even dried on the contract & he went right to work!! I love it!!

It looks very neat, the wood was sized perfectly, and the fan functions well.

I called Rudy after seeing the reviews from Angie's list, I called him and left a message. True to the reviews, he was very prompt both in returning the calls and keeping up the appointments. He came and took a look at the problem, clearly explained the problem ( i already had 4 or 5 people take a look at the problem, they wanted completely to rebuild the bathroom , instead of focusing on the problem). Gave us a quote in couple of days, which was very reasonable. Fixed a date and he was on schedule and fixed in as he explained during the initial screening. The finish is very good and above of all , I have a working shower now. I would highly recommend him.

Estimating went very quickly, by text message which I love. Rudy scheduled service quickly and came on time. He took care of purchasing all the materials, nothing for me to deal with except a color choice planned in advance. He spent extra time problem-solving the door mechanism (issue with my house construction, not the part) and then explaining the solution to me. He left the work areas clean. Very customer-focused and good to work with. Will use again.

No work was performed in this instance, but I will definitely keep Rudy in mind when I have other jobs around the house come up. Glad we found someone honest and responsive.

Rudy returned my call promptly and came out the next day to look over the job. He quoted me a very fair price and the following day he started the job. Rudy is very neat and meticulous and goes over every step of the job to make sure you are satisfied. The entire job was completed quickly and looks great.

I continue to call on Rudy at Tools to the Rescue and I am never disappointed. In this emergency plumbing leak situation, Rudy was able to removal tile walls surrounding the tub within 24 hours of me contacting him. The plumber was able to perform tub and plumbing replacement the following day. Rudy was back to install backer board, tile, grout and new PVC plastic window trim/molding within the three days that followed. Rudy is the real deal. He is a thoughtful and knowledgeable craftsman who performs quality work and who respects you, your home and your wallet/purse. I highly recommend Rudy for a wide variety of projects around your home.

Rudy was great! He came over to do an estimate and gave me a really fair price to do the work I needed in my new house. He was able to come do the job right away, which happened to be the Friday before a holiday weekend, with relatively short notice. He even went out of this way to help me out by picking up my door for me at Home Depot because it wouldn't fit in my car! I was so appreciative for that! He worked quickly, efficiently, and cleanly. He did a beautiful job and even took away the old door for me! In replacing the sill (the wood under the front door) we realized it was much more rotted out than we had anticipated, but Rudy was able to replace the wood with a great new piece of pressure treated wood and remedied the situation. Upon finishing, we realized there was a gap between my front door and the floor (hardwoods now, previous owners had carpets) Rudy felt bad for not realizing this would be an issue and has offered to come back and affix the sweep to the door once we pick one up. We are new to town, so I am so grateful to have a reliable handyman in the neighborhood to help us out!

Rudy really came through for us where others would not, and properly finished what others had started. When he says no job is too big or too small, he actually means it. When he says he will call back, he actually does. His customer service is exceptional. He not only fixes issues, but does so with such patience, precision and timeliness. He worked at our home as if it was his own. He only rebuilds what he absolutely has to, and explains his thinking every step of the way. Tools to the Rescue is truly worthy of its name sake and the tops of Angie’s List. Our only regret was not finding Rudy sooner. We may have moved, but Tools to the Rescue remains on our call list.

Rudy is meticulous and I liked that about him. He is also conscientious and showed up when he said he would. He is a very nice person and understands exactly what need to be done. I would absolutely hire Rudy again. As I write this, I am currently putting together a new list of things that need to be done by Rudy.

I've used the services of Tools to the Rescue (Rudy) at least once before and was very happy with his work, professionalism and price. Rudy is always prompt, honest and wiling to discuss the work with as much detail as you would like. We had several holes in walls from previous plumbing work that needed to be patched up, and a variety of other little odd jobs that were starting to add up. Rudy always left the place clean and completed all the work in a little more then two days.

Rudy was able to replicate the project I showed him in "This Old House" perfectly: on schedule, and on budget. He was prompt, courteous, professional, and showed a lot of attention to detail. He and his helper got the project done in just a day and a half, even through we're in the middle of a heat wave, and he was working in 98 degree heat! We are very pleased with how the porch looks now, and also hired him to do assorted small repairs around the house. All were done promptly and according to our requests. We will be hiring him again!

It went extremely well. Rudy is a great professional. He called me back exactly when he promised, and did the job beautifully. He was very helpful and he had no problem to go out of his way and pick up the keys to my place from a friend's around the corner. He got the job done very quickly, and even brought his own fan to help speed up the spackle drying process. I will be using him in the future for other jobs, and have already recommended him to my neighbors.

Rudy responded quickly to the message we sent via Angie's List and came by to see what we needed done. He was on time (that's a big plus in my book). He listened (another big plus). We had a room that had several layers of paint over a few layers of wallpaper which was coming away from the wall at the top. We wanted that gone and the room repainted. A few years ago we had a leak above the ceiling and although we tried to insert replacement ceiling tiles, we are not professionals, so it didn't look good. Also on the list to be done was to pull up the wall-to-wall carpet so we could see what the floor looked like and then make a decision whether to re-carpet. Rudy called with a quote/estimate the same day. We agreed he would start the following Monday. He anticipated it would take 2 days (with a helper on the 2nd day). On Day 1, he showed up precisely when he said he would. He worked continuously, taking only a short lunch break.The ceiling he repaired came out great! He called us into the room to point out things such as the condition of the plaster walls underneath the painted-over wallpaper. The walls were in really rough condition. Rudy worked non-stop spackling, sanding, etc. and, kept cleaning up as he went along. He told us how much paint was needed (we supplied paint, and found and supplied ceiling tiles). On Day 2, he was there exactly on time. He painted the room and trim. His helper was not available but Rudy did the work of 2 men. He ripped out all the old carpeting and padding, rolling it and taping it, asking where it could be left. Our town's bulky pick up was just a few days away. Upon seeing the floor and deciding we would not be re-carpeting them, we asked that he remove the nail strips and staples. We agreed he would come back on Wednesday morning to paint the moulding by the floor, So everything was done in slightly over 2 days and this old room looks transformed! Rudy takes pride in his work and is highly professional and respectful.We would, without a doubt, use Rudy's services again!

Rudy showed up on time, and it is a pleasure to discuss the details of the tasks with him because he often has good advice. He did excellent work for us at a price that is reasonable. Rudy is a man of perfection and honesty. He was always clear on his availability and his expertise; if you can wait he is definitely the handyman for your work. He fixed our bathtub area and also patched up a section of the dry wall. The work is very well done.
