Stanley Steemer - Clifton

The tech declined to clean the vinyl flooring because he thought it was the same as laminate and would be damaged by water. I explained there was a difference and that vinyl is waterproof. He did not agree and would not clean the vinyl so he took it off the bill, but we were very disappointed the vinyl flooring (which is an option on the order) was not cleaned. We paid for deodorizer but when the work was finished, the carpets just smelled wet and did not smell clean. The tech was talking on his cell phone and texting a lot. The tech said the carpet would be dry in 18 to 24 hours but it was dry a lot sooner - within just 2.5/3 hours - which makes wonder if he used an ample amount of water. Also the upholstery he cleaned was barely wet and dried very quickly. The next day I vacuumed the carpets with our Dyson and ended up with a full canister of dirt and dust from the carpets.

Morris County, NJ 01 1/6/2022 Terrible Service and Experience. Had Stanley Steamer (Clifton, NJ) come out to clean our tile. Tile had been covered in carpet runners since installation. Reason for Stanley Steamer was to help remove double stick tape holding carpet in place. Stanley Steamer left our tile with white chips all over the top of the tile and in some places black chips that were deep in tile. Went back and forth with Stanley Steamer several times. On two occasions, they sent a "manager" and "assistant manager" to inspect. Assistant Manager agreed the tile did look bad. Neither followed up. After a decent amount of following up on our behalf, a tile "expert" (which is highly debatable) was sent from the insurance company to inspect. Eventually, both Stanley Steamer and the Insurance Company denied claim, stating their machines did not cause damage. The tile had been 95% covered with carpet runners since installation up until 2 days prior to them cleaning. Our tile is completely ruined with chips all over the place. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE LOCATION!

Cleaning of hardwood was good. The carpets were sent off-site to be cleaned. One rug was damaged in the process when off-site. Stanley Steemer returned it with a repair, that was unacceptable and the rug is now crooked and not laying flat, plus it has a big seam where the fix was done (about 7 ft long). The manager of the site, Juan Brito, has refused to make any compensation regarding the damaged rug, nor has he returned emails, texts or calls. This branch is just unprofessional in their treatment of customers in such situations. I will never use Stanley Steemer again based on their lack of customer care and meeting the customers expectations.

They were very good. I would give them "A"s in all of the areas. I would absolutely use them again.

The quality was A. They were here on time. They were very good about taking care of the stuff and explaining afterwards. I would probably search somewhere else for price-wise and reviews before using them again. They are expensive. They don't have many Deals. It was quality work and a little on the expensive side to look for a discount. The workers were fine. They were courteous and considerate of the household. They covered their shoes and left the shoe covers for us behind to make sure that the carpet didn't get messed up.They explained thoroughly how long it would take to dry.

I contacted Stanley Steemer to clean a area rug in my basement. The technician came and inspected the rug. He suggested that it be removed cleaned at their facilities. There was an incremental cost increase but the technician and I worked through that. I was told the rug would be ready in a week. Called Stanley Steemer after a week and asked them where the rug was and they said it usually takes two weeks. Didn't hear anything from them after two weeks. Finally received a call at the end of third week saying carpet was ready. Delivery was fine. I would have given them lower scores but I don't want to be a total jerk about it. My major issue with the company was the responsiveness. They need to communicate with the customer. Also the receipt I received clearly states that payment is due after the work is completed. I was charged immediately that day which gave me little recourse in the situation.

I called about 11:30AM on 5/26, they were at my door at about 12:30PM that day!!!! Did what they promised and left me pleasantly surprised with the speed and quality of their service.

They actually did a very good job. They were able to send somebody the next day and they were very prompt. They did a quick, quality cleaning.

It was good. The rugs were really worn, we had just moved in to a new house. They did the best they could. They were very neat and very professional. It was a good price. It became pretty clean.

They were very good. They did extra that I didn’t even think I needed. It was $99 for my whole basement, which is like two rooms and a living room area rug. So the price was maybe $120 with that. They were very friendly and efficient. Anything extra that I wanted, they would do it for me. They are reliable, thorough and provide quick response. They are very professional.

They were excellent. They called the night before and gave me a 4 hour window. They called 30 min before they got here. He explained everything in detail when they got here as to what they would be doing. They gave me the option to upgrade as well. They were professional, on time, and did a great job.

I think the carpet was in a bad shape and they did not do too much.

service was punctual and polite, everything was cleaned very well, and at a reasonable price. Only complaint--they took an area rug to be cleaned, and instead of the 1-2 week turnaround time promised it was gone for a month. Not a big deal, but I had to call to track it down and get it delivered back. Would use them again.

They were prompt and did a good job -- they did say that they should have charged more because of the material of the carpet, but would let it go because it was our first time. I still thought that it was a bit pricey even without the additional costs.

They were on time , well organized . Discussed fully what they were doing and why. Identified potential issues with some spots and discussed them up front . They ensured I checked everything and was satisfied before they left. I couldn't be happier. with their work

Beware of price gauging. I requested an estimated to replace the old carpeting in my basement. Received high pressure sales tactics: initial estimate was sky high. A few thousand higher than others. Told them I was not interested due to price. Was told and quot;let me make a phone call to the warehouse manager and let me see what I can doand quot;. One phone call and suddenly the price was cut in half, but, I had to sign the contract on the spot.

They arrived on time and were clean and efficient. The cost was a little more than I had expected as they charged extra for a very short hallway. The carpets came out looking cleaner and smelled fresh. Some older stains and sun-bleached spots were unchanged, but I really didn't expect them to fix that. Overall a good experience.

I had no problem and I was pleased with them. The two young men that came were very nice and did their job. They have nice young gentlemen who do the job, they get it done on time because they don't fool around and just do what they have to do and they were punctual.

They did a fantastic job. I will be using them here again soon.

Very professional. The fellow who did the kitchen far exceeded our expectations. The old tiles looked brand new. Some grout came out, but the floor is ancient, so it was no surprise. The bathroom was tougher, and after they'd left I noticed a few spots that looked like they had missed. The kitchen job was so fantastic that I will give them an and quot;Aand quot; anyway. Very nice people. Will call them again.

I have been using them for the last few years. They do a great job and the people that came to the house are very friendly. I am just very happy with them. That is why I keep calling them. They are wonderful. They usually have discounted promos available. I wouldn't call anybody else.
