I don't know if the personnel is the same or not. | |I had a new stainless steel chimney liner installed and roof repair. | |All was professionally done and I haven't had any problems with the work completed. Very satisfied!!

Description of Work: They replaced my aging chimney (over 55 years old). At first, I thought the price was a bit steep, but when I saw the incredible professionalism their masons displayed, I realized I got a real bargain. They were painstakingly precise in the placement of every brick. A thouroghly professional job.

Description of Work: We had a leak in the roof A1 (more like 4F) said it wasn't the roof & convinced us it was the foundation & they guaranteed this was it & if they concreted the foundation we will be waterproof. They did the FOUNDATION NOT THE ROOF & we still had the leak, when we called A1 the second person said we had to spend thousands more on the foundation, when we questioned that they said no work can be done till the owner calls us, HE NEVER DID call us & we suffered more water damage, out of frustration we had to contact the Better Buisness Bureau & ONLY THEN did the owner Gerorge accepted our repeated calls & checked it out and lied to our faces where he swore he will send a team of workers to do the foundation & fix the hole in the roof, it took 3 entire visits from A1 to see the hole!!!When his team showed up only 1 person worked the other appeared to be stoned, sleeping in the truck & when he came out his eyes were red, he spoke a mile a minute making no sense & twitched alot, this is the quality of help of A1! george lied as he only patched the roof & did nothing on the foundation, & when I called to ask why he talked down to me & brushed me off. One of the leaks was fixed due to the roof work & we still have a leak in the kitchen which they refuse to come unless paid even more money for a job not done. We are in contact with the BBB to get opur money back & we still need an honest roofer who does not cheat & knows what they are doing. We are also considering litigation. DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE A1, DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! i WISH I KNEW ABOUT ANGIES LIST BEFORE i WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS EVEN CALL THEM!!!

Description of Work: A technician provided a competitive estimate. I agreed to do the work and the technician promised to return to perform the work that afternoon. The technician did not return. I called the technician and we rescheduled the work. Again, the technician did not show up to do the work.

+ -1 moreThey were very good, thorough and reasonably priced, and we were very happy with them. They did run a little late but they were on the job from start to finish and cleaned up after themselves well. It seems like they are a family-owned company.
Description of Work: We needed a new chimney flue and a flue chain, and so we used A1 Affordable Construction to put it in. We had a leaky skylight and they fixed that too.

+ -1 moreWhen they came out I wasn't able to communicate with them because they didn't speak English and the only person who did speak English (the salesman) left after the work was started. They were very messy and didn't clean up after themselves. There were nails all over our yard. After they had finished, the roof was leaking and they had to come back out again. I would not recommend them.
Description of Work: I hired them to do a complete re-roofing for me.

+ -1 moreNever fixed roof leaks. Had to miss time at work and loose income because 8 times they said workers were coming out to fix the job and nobody showed up. Was told I had to wait weeks for appointment because it was there busy time. I have no proof I needed chimney work because I was not on the roof. So in good faith had the work done, and that was the more expensive job. I think it was a case of bait & switch. No company is that busy they can not get to me for a year!

Description of Work: I called the company back to repair a damaged heating flue liner that they had installed originally, nearly three years ago. They came first thing the next morning, completely re-did the entire liner, which this time involved chimney repair and took a good part of the day, and did not charge me a cent. They were very prompt, polite and cleaned up after the job was done.

+ -1 moreTHIS COMPANY WAS CONSCIENTIOUS AND EXPERIENCED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY WERE GOOD WORKERS AND KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE TOO HIGH, BUT I ACCEPTED THEIR BID AND WAS PLEASED WITH THE FINISHED PROJECT.
Description of Work: THEY REPAIRED THE FLASHING ON THE CHIMNEY AND A LEAK. THEY ALSO PUT CAULKING ON THE FRONT ROOF AND CLEANED OUT THE GUTTERS.

+ -1 moreI WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. THEY WERE SLOPPY WORKERS, WHEN IT RAINED THE WATER WAS COMING IN ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BASEMENT. VERY RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS WHEN WE CALLED THEM BACK TO REPAIR THEIR WORK.
Description of Work: WE HAD TO REPLACE THE CHIMNEY WHEN WE HAD THE HEATER REPLACED. THE CHIMNEY HAD TO HAVE A SPECIAL HOSE FITTED.
