I have my appointment scheduled for dec 1 but the specialist they send did a great job and explain everything and prices. They over check the area to make sure other than issue you wont have nothing else which is great. Recommend them for basement cracks.

This company has a proprietary waterproofing system that no one else has. You can NEVER eliminate water. Concrete is porous so you will always have water find it's way into your home. Their system is a bit pricy ($55.p/linear foot)but it catches any water that comes into your basement and pumps it away from your home. There is no other product like this one and it will solve your problem plus you have a lifetime guarantee even if you sell your home. The cost is approx. is $7K to $11K depending on the size of your basement but you never have to worry about water entering ever again. This is the ONLY waterproof solution for the life of your home.

I met with Laura to discuss finishing my basement and gave her background on how I am pretty handy and have family in construction - she told me right away she had the perfect solution for me and that it would allow me to save money. We decided to proceed with the RimJoint Spray foam and Foamax insulation. The crew came on the day of install on time and worked really good and fast all while doing an excellent job and cleaning up after themselves.

I chose this company because of the system that they use to collect the water and because they were less invasive. Other companies would have dug up more floor area and not have the catch system that Quality 1st uses.

We got off to a rocky start - the service guys had a flat on the way in & no one informed us about it. But once the project was started, Victor and his crew were excellent, going above & beyond in some cases. They were also neat - putting down tarps & putting up a protective plastic wall, so the entire basement didn't get dusty from the digging. We will definitely use them again for the 2 bedrooms in our basement.

Work was good overall, but some misunderstandings resulted regarding some aspects of the job occurred. An office worker gave me a starting date, but no one came or even called that day . There was another day set up where they showed up and did pretty thorough work, which was the least expensive of about 5 different estimates.

I couldnât be more pleased with how Quality 1st Basement handled my problem. We have an area in our home on a slab consisting of 2 rooms and a hall. Over the years the center of the area, which is 22âX12â, dropped about 2.5 inches, and less at the foundations. I had contractors in who wanted to tear the floor up, others that wanted to put leveling cement down, and some who had no idea. Then I found Quality 1st Basement. Jeff came, spent almost 2 hours with us walking us through the PolyLEVEL process, and answering all our questions and concerns. We contracted the next morning, and scheduled the job for 2 weeks out. The 2-man crew just came. They explained the procedure, what they were going to do, and how, and answered all my questions. Then they suggested how to proceed based on issues that cropped up. In less than 3 hours they were done, including clean up. The floor is now completely level, done quickly, at a fraction of the cost of other alternatives. Jeff, the crew, and the office were great and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend Quality 1st Basement.

Avoid at all costs! I'd give less stars if I could. I had contracted Q1 to do repair/waterproofing work on my foundation. Because the foundation is on the lot line, we needed a license from the neighboring property. The license gave them 9 months to pull permits and get in and do the work. They bungled it and were late in getting the permits let alone doing the work. We had to renegotiate the license which cost me real $ and time. OK, so we get a new license in place Q1 gives a date 4 months off when they can get in. No problems. As the date draws near, we follow-up with them to make sure that all is on track and receive no response not from the sales person, Jeff Nero, not from the GM all of which we contacted personally via both phone and email. We tried calling the scheduler and got "oh he's not in, call back after 4:30". We call back at 4:35 and the office is closed/no one answers the phone. I got the same run around trying to call Bob Cherry, the GM, as well: "He's out this week, he'll be back Monday", call Monday and get "He's out this week." The only communication we get is from the expediter who only says that Q1 changed the architect on the job and that they have to pull new permits. Ok, so we're hustling with the outside expediter Q1 hired to pull new permits quickly. We hear from the expediter that permits are supposed to come out Monday afternoon... the same day that Q1 was supposed to start the job. Still no coherent or meaningful response from Q1. We check with the expediter Tuesday morning what's going on and they let us know what Q1 has put a hold on all paperwork. Eventually, later in the week they were supposed to start the job, we get a note from Bob Cherry, Q1's GM, letting us know that both they and their original engineer are under review from the NYC DOB and can not perform work in New York City and as a result are refunding our deposit. Our interaction with them cost us real money and time and provided no solution. Over a year of time and several thousands of dollars and not so much as an apology or a referral to an alternate provider. My foundation still needs to be fixed.
