Very well. The control panel was different that the one we were replacing. The repair person fit it nicely and it works great.

Excellent service in all respects!

I called Alcoy because of the good rating on Angie's list. However, I had bad experience with them from the beginning. When I called I always received some sort of voice mail prompt indicating that they are working with other customers and cannot take my call. I left a message but no one answered me. It took me several trials to realize that you have to stay in line for a while until after the message finish and then someone (actually the owner Brian) will pick up the phone. I explained to Brian what I need: basically a simple drain and clean job since I have an old hot tub which comes with the house I purchased last year. He did give me a pretty good price and put me on the schedule. However, when the service guy (Jeff) came on the scheduled date, he told me two things: 1) the hot tub was not working at that time, and 2) he forgot to bring his pump so he could not do anything anyway. We found the breaker box in the basement and reset it so the tub started working again. Then Jeff said the tub was half filled so he would have to fill it up before he would come back to clean it a few days later. I said I don't want to waste that much of water so can we turn the thing off. He tried to pull the switch out but actually broke it. He told me that something wrong with the switch since it all melted, and said I probably need to get a technician to come before cleaning, and he said Brian will call me to put me back to schedule, and off he ran. I waited almost a week, but nobody called me. I called and left message, still no one called me back. I had to call them again and again several times just to get hold of them. Finally, I found an electrician to fix the switch (which cost over $200) and when I called Brian again, I was hoping he could possibly give me more discount because all these hassles caused by Jeff (for not bringing his tool to work and broke the switch). I do understand that there was something wrong with the switch already, but at least he can do some minor thing to make me feel better (to be honest, even just a few good words or couple bucks would make me feel a lot better). Well, all he said was that "you will only be charged for one service call" - but wait, your guy didn't bring the tool and broke my stuff and you think you are doing me a favor by not charging you for that visit? I don't get it. What a great logic! Then Brian said "you don't have to stick with us, you can find someone else". Fine, for that attitude, I will find someone else anyway! I'm writing my story in full detail here and this is the first time I write the review myself other than the Angie's list people calling me. I was simply very upset. I always try to find someone with A rate to deal with and I never get any trouble before. So I'm very surprised this time. I truly don't think they deserve an A rating.

excellent from start to finish

Overall it went very well. The technician encountered some unexpected problems. He evaluated the situation and still completed the repair with no complaining, in a very timely manner. The technician was very professional and clearly very experienced with the whirpool in my house. I would recommend this company for anything spa related.
