It went great. They came when they said they were coming. The hot water heater is one of two in our house. The one they replaced is in a closet in the living area of the house. They were careful and considerate not to leave evidence of their being there. They got the job done in a reasonable time, and did a neat, professional installation. This was the second time that we used them, and it was because of our first experience that we used them again. Earlier in the month, they worked on our other hot water heater, which is tankless. The person that installed it in the first place did not know what he was doing, and gave the absolute worst service. It never worked right. Chris was very knowledgeable with our heater, and made it right. Once again, a very neat job; he takes pride in his work. Chris and his employees are all a pleasure to deal with,; they go the extra mile to please you. The first time we used them, they even brought our trash cans in. I highly recommend this contractor. Very few contractor experiences are this good.

We called the office and someone answered the phone, which is always nice. Chris called us back within 15 mins. and agreed to come to our home once he was finished with the job he was on. He arrived within 3 hours of the time we first called the office. He was very professional and explained what our problem was. He fixed a clog in our heater and it now works perfectly. Provider was quick and friendly. He invoiced me for service and I was under the impression that work was done and that the noise was gone. As soon as he left, the noise returned. I immediately called the office and explained that my issue remained. They then told me over the phone that yes, the noise would continue until the part was replaced ... not what the serviceman had led me to believe. I then explained to them that if that were the case then essentially no service was provided; the noise remained, and I felt that I was wrongly charged. They condescendingly attempted to explain the difference between an estimate (which would be free) and a diagnostic -- what they claimed post service what I was charged for. Essentially I paid someone $89 to open up my unit and look at it. That's what an estimate entails, in my opinion. I would not have agreed to pay $89 for a diagnostic. In fact, I never did agree to a diagnostic. That would maybe have required the serviceman to have a conversation like, "I'm going to have to run a diagnostic on your unit to see what the issue is. That will cost $89" to which I would have said, "no thank you." They refused to correct the situation or refund the charge. "The best they could do" was if I were to download a coupon they would honor 20% off. I told them that if that were the best that they could do, they could then expect a bad review and that I would be stopping my check. They replied with "have a nice day."

We arrived home to find that we had no heat. I called CRT Mechanical and Chris returned my call very promptly. He came to our house within an hour late on a Sunday night and was able to identify and remedy the problem right away. He was extremely nice and professional. We will definitely call Chris at CRT again in the future.

Heater not working. My wife called at 0930. Scheduled to arrive at 1130. Not bad. More to follow. Long story short is that we have a contract with Sanders. Sanders came for our heater inspection just two weeks ago and stated everything was good. Ten days later it got cold and we turned our heat on and guess what? Heater did not work. Called Sanders. They troubleshot and told us the circuit board needed to be replaced. I had a gut feeling this was not right. Looked on Angies list and called CRT Mechanical. They troubleshot the system and found that 5 burners were rusty (from when we used propane) and the circuit board was fine. CRT received the parts in 48 hours and although it was very late came out to install the parts. Heater works fine now. I was very impressed with the responsiveness. CRT (Chris) get an A+ from me.

Danny cleaned the unit and checked its operation thoroughly. He found that it was not operating at peak efficiency and that the cause was that the refrigerant was low. He added a pound of refrigerant (which was an extra $82), and then rechecked the temperature differential, which was now double the minimum for normal operation. He also checked for leaks and found that there were none that were detectable. The unit is seven years old, so leakage had happened very gradually. He briefed us thoroughly on all issues.

The company representative came out with Tim, the owners brother, and diagnosed the problem and discussed options for repair versus replacement of the outside unit. It was decided to replace the outside unit. This was later performed on a return visit to the property as the unit needed to be ordered. Unable to be at home when the replacement was done, access was provided be a neighbor. With the exception of the new unit behind the house, and the fact that the house was much cooler, I would not have known that CRT had been to the property! They were also scheduled to return to replace the inside attic unit. When they, Chris and Tim, returned with the replacement unit, it was discussed that this would actually not be necessary at this point in time. No service fee was charged for the return trip and the system is working great. Chris is very knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service, as did the original technician and Chris' brother Tim. If you need an A/C repair in the South Jersey area or the shore points give CRT Mechanical a call!

My AC broke on Sunday. They called me within 10 minutes and were at my house early Monday morning. They quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. Very impressed with the responsiveness!

It went well. I've used them before. They are very proactive. Just one person came out and it was done within an hour.

Determined there may be a very small leak and he added a pound of freon.

Excellent service. When I called for the initial estimate the owner Chris was there within an hour. Had the estimate for me the next day. Chris and his electrical sub-contractor were on time, professional, and the quality of the work was outstanding. I would use again without hesitation! Turns out the manufacture's unit had a defective part and the system lost all refrigerant about three weeks after install Called CRT and they were at my house within 30 minutes to troubleshoot. (leaking valve on external unit). Rather than replace the valve which is all that was technically required under manufacture's warranty, CRT contacted the manufacturer and requested that the total unit be replaced. This is truly exceptional customer service. Next day they were out to install! Again, CRT is prompt, responsive to customer needs, and professional.

It went well, we had a thermostat that we wanted him to install, and he told us the one we had was not good suggested the one we need to get. We serached it on the internet and it did get a bad review, so we getting the one he suggested and he will be coming back the next day to install it. We warned us about the age of the unit, and to start saving now so we can be ready when it is time to replace it.

I highly recommend CRT Mechanical. This is the 2nd time I've used their services and this is the first company I found to be honest and fair. He showed me what was wrong and he didn't even charge me for the parts; he just charged for the service call. I called at 12:15 and he arrived before 1:00. He checked everything thoroughly and found the problem right away. I trust him and would recommend him to all.

When I called to schedule an appointment, the person on the phone was able to fit me in that day, which would have been great. The service tech was scheduled to come in a two-hour window in the middle of the day, so I arranged to be home at the beginning of the window. I got home right at the beginning of the time window, only to be informed by someone doing a different job at my home that the tech had come half an hour earlier and had left. I called the office, who contacted the tech, who called me back to tell me he would be therein about an hour and a half. Two hours later, he had not arrived. I called the office who said they would have him call me. Half an hour later he had still not called, and I canceled the appointment. The office folks seemed nice and helpful, but this technician at least completely dropped the ball.

He showed up when he is supposed to. He was easy to work with. He was reliable. Even though it sounds like a lot of money, it was better than other people. This was our second use with them.

The appointment was set for between 9 and 10 am and the tech arrived promptly at 9:00 am. He quickly got to work and know exactly what to do. After looking over the system and evaluating what was wrong, he determined that our gas valve pressure was set way too low (3" WC), he was able to adjust it back up to where it should be (10" WC!!). The tech was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all of my probing questions. He also found a minor leak in our gas system which he promptly fixed and checked the condition of heat exchanger. In the end, I was happy to pay the $114 ($124 before the Angie's List coupon) to have the service completed. I would definitely use this company again.

Eric was on time, very knowledgeable and very professional. He was at the house for about 1 1/2 hours. We were charged $124 for the service call, $85 for "detecting the leak", $210 for the refrigerant and $35 for the valve. Although we felt the service charge, refrigerant and valve charges were valid and reasonable, we found the $85 "leak detection" ridiculous. Eric stated before he refilled the refrigerant that many times they will see a leak when they go to replace the refrigerant which was why the refrigerant usually gets low to begin with - which is what happened in our case. We believe this should have been part of the service call as he didn't have to go looking for the leak, finding it was incidental and that charging us an additional $85 for something that he found easily was excessive and not very fair. I can only assume that Eric was following company policy by charging us but we feel we were overcharged and a bit cheated. Eric is a great technician. If it were not for this issue, we would use CRT in the future as everything but the pricing was more than satisfactory.

He replaced a burned-out fuse in my air conditioner, checked out all connections, cleaned the coils and topped off the refrigerant.

Wow! Top of the line business that is 2nd to none in promptness, courtesy, professionalism and knowledge. CRT Mechanical was there on the job the same morning that I called them. I got the run around from several other companies (one company even showed and left in the middle of the job and never returned). I own a hometown deli and my walk in box is one of, if not the most vital piece of equipment to my business. I called in the morning and by noontime they has a tech on site just as they said they would. The technician Curt showed up and delivered exceptional service as promised. Curt had all you would expect from a technician. He was prompt, polite, extremely knowledgeable and a master at his craft. No smoke and mirrors. It was a delight to have CRT Mechanical service my equipment and I will certainly be using them for any other equipment repairs. He overcharged me. I found the disconnect at Home Depot for $5.00. He charged me for three hours of labor when he was only here for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

I was very happy with everyone at CRT. Both Danny and Chris whom I dealt with directly, were very knowledgeable, and it was clear to me that they take a lot of pride in what they do. After speaking with them about the estimate, I was comfortable enough with them that I canceled other appointments for other companies to come and give me their estimates. Both Danny and Chris took the time to explain to me what they were doing, and why they had to do it, and though they didn't have to, they even offered me an opportunity to save more than two hundred dollars. I am very, very pleased with everything about the people and the service at CRT. So much so, that I'm going to have them come back in the future to do some other work in my home that needs to be done.

I called CRT mechanical at 7:30 AM. The office said a technician would be at my house between 10 and 12. When most service providers tell you that, it means between 4 and 6, Not CRT! Danny called at 8:50 AM to advise an appointment cancelled and he would be at my house in 40 minutes. At 9:30 AM, Danny stepped out of the truck, introduced himself with a firm hand shake and asked "how can I help you?" Danny is a clean cut professional. Neat and clean uniform, hair cut squared away , well spoken and confident. My air conditioning issue was quickly resolved by your courteous and professional technician.
