We are not thrilled with Seasonal World. The price was an issue and they were overpriced when it was repair work. They would do stuff when they were closing and opening the pool and we wouldn't know. They didn’t tell us to change the fans in the filter. We didn’t even know they took the clorinator off. Responsive was a pain. They were never available for any, it was like days and days. It’s close to our house, If I had to in an emergency I would use them again but probably not.

Everything went very well. They were very professional and helped me solve my problem without overcharging me. I appreciate the fact that they did the right thing for me. When you call a guy and he helps you over the phone without coming out to collect the fee first, I appreciate that.

They were fantastic, they bring portfolios, and a slide show of what they are doing and how they do it. I thought their quote was really high. The quote didn't include the brick around the pool or anything, it was just for the pool. That was extra, but they didn't know how much extra, until they put the pool in. They came on time, the salesman was very presentable and clean cut. He came with a presentation, sat down, asked us what we wanted, showed us everything that they had to offer, and it was a great presentation. He took the time and there was no problem.

Being a pool owner for 8 years and having to go through the opening process was always a nightmare for me. Our cover was NOT good as we live in a heavily wooded area. When the pool was first opened, it was a disaster from all the tree and spring debris. It took us A MONTH to get it completely clear and weeks before it was even swimmable. I spent so much money on chemicals trying get rid of all the algae the trees left. This was the first year opened my pool, and the water was not green, It was just a little cloudy but was swimmable within less than 24 hours. I got a pool cover from Seasonal World at the end of last season to help this issue. And thankfully it did. I love this new safety cover. Made my pool opening such a much easier process. Thank you Seasonal World for a great recommendation and great install.

During the initial sale of the pool "dream", I was told the project manager would be on site every day during the installation. That was the first lie. The project manager was only seen twice during the month and a half that it took to install the pool. The construction manager appeared to have an attitude every time I contacted the office. I even received a smart comment that the company's installers do not work 9-5. On that particular instance, the installer never showed up. This occurred 3 times during the installation of my pool, installers did not show up and no one called to inform me. When I was expected to have something done at a particular time, it had to be done on time. Seasonal World does what they want when they want. The Seasonal World installers treated my yard like a construction site. Installers left trash in my yard to blow around, cigarette butts were thrown where ever, large chunks of their concrete and bricks were left for me to dispose of. I would not hire Seasonal World to do any work on my pool nor would I recommend them to anyone.

I called Seasonal world and asked to have someone come out and look at the wrinkles and tell me what could be done and the lady told me that there was a charge of $130.00 to make an appointment to have someone to look at the pool and that the side corner that had pulled away was not covered and would be an extra charge. I explained that I would just like a supervisor to look at the pool and tell me what could be done she again said if I wanted someone to look at the pool I had to give her my credit card number and pay $130.00. When I insisted I wanted to speak to her supervisor she hung up .
Description of Work: The spring of 2011 was very wet. when Seasonal world arrived it had been raining for several days. they pumped the water out of the pool and removed the liner, when they did so there was two small holes at the bottom that were leaking water into the pools cement shell. The site foreman Mark said that they would put a pump in a sump at the bottom of the pool with a pipe in a trench that would be pulled out after the pool was partially filled. At that time I asked if it would not be better to wait for the water level to drop. Marks answer was we do this all the time. I returned to the house to do some work. Shortly after mark came to the house and said that "we have a problem" the side of the pool had slid in and he would have to repair it before placing the new liner. He said it would cost approximately $650.00 as this repair was not in the contract. I paid him and asked again if it would be better to wait for the water level to drop Mark again said it was no problem we do this kind of repair all the time. The patch was made and the liner was installed. We began the filling of the pool. As the water began to rise the side of the pool once again slid into the pool creating a huge crater under the new liner. I called Seasonal world and they said that there was nothing they could do until the water level dropped! We lost the summer of 2011 I called several times in the fall and was told that the schedule was full and then it was to cold. in the early spring of 2012 they returned and pulled the liner back and repaired the wall of the pool once again, not smooth but much better. however they stretched the liner and there are huge wrinkles in the pool! These wrinkles are so large that the gentleman that did the repairs put duct tape across them in the hopes that they would lay flat! These huge wrinkles are on the opposite side of the pool from the damaged wall (there are wrinkles there as well but not so bad) I had an auto pool cleaner and it can't get over the wrinkles! I mean these things are three inches high. The man that was working on the pool suggested I fill the pool and try to smooth the bottom with a toilet plunger. One of the corners pulled away from the side of the pool shortly after the reairs were made.

Seasonal World is extremely sorry to hear of the issues at that the customer is encountering and that he is unhappy with the current condition of his vinyl liner. With any customer complaint, Seasonal World will exhaust every effort to find a reasonable solution to the issues at hand that is fair all parties. In response to the complaint that was filed by the customer please let this correspondence serve as the summary of services performed based on detailed written documentation and photo documentation complied by Seasonal World of all communication as it relates to the customer and his liner replacement installation. Seasonal World entered into a contract for the replacement of the liner on April 1, 2011. The installation of the liner was started on April 29, 2011. Upon the installation crew’s arrival it was photo documented that the liner that was to be replaced had wrinkles in the pool floor. It was also photo documented that the majority of the decking that surrounds the pool had settled and there are significant voids around the entire pool perimeter. Finally, the swimming pool location is at the base of a large hill that has a retaining wall of approximately 4’ in height with no visual signs of any drainage or water control. As Seasonal World proceeded with the installation of the liner there was underground water that was encountered and a portion of the pool interior that is alongside the side of the large hill/retaining had washed away as a result of excessive ground water that was able to perk once the water weight within the pool was removed. Seasonal World addressed these issues with industry standard practices based on the surrounding circumstances. At the point where the washout was repaired and the underground water was controlled, Seasonal World installed the replacement liner 100% free of any wrinkles. Seasonal World has photo documentation showing the wrinkle free liner that was installed. The repaired area of the interior pool floor washed out shortly after the liner installation as a result of excessive underground and surface water, Seasonal World made a warranty repair based on a mutually agreed timeframe based on the customer's needs. The issues that he is experiencing with the wrinkles in the liner is a result of water getting behind and underneath the swimming pool at a greater pressure than what is inside the pool, thus the liner floats and when the water table underneath the pool recedes the ending result are wrinkles in the liner. The wrinkles are not a result of a Seasonal World workmanship error. The previous liner (not installed by Seasonal World) had wrinkles that were more than likely a result of similar issues. The surrounding areas, specifically the cement decking also has water related damage. At the time of the bottom repair, the reason that the wrinkles in the liner where not able to be corrected was a result of water (underneath the liner) stretching the liner beyond it intended fit and there was also chemical damage from whomever maintains the pool (not Seasonal World) that caused portions of the liner to reduce elasticity properties. Seasonal World has photo documentation of this. Seasonal World performed the liner replacement and repair to the pool floor in a fashion that met or exceeded industry standards. Unfortunately the issues that the customer is experiencing are a result of surface/ground water along with chemical damage that has caused the wrinkles in the liner to not able to be removed. The customer has proposed a resolution to this matter of either having the liner repaired so it is wrinkle free or a full refund for work performed. Even if the liner were to be repaired/replace so that it was wrinkle free the current issues would reoccur as a result of the surrounding surface/ground water issues. Thus all parties would be back in the same position at some point after the liner being replaced. As stated from the onset, Seasonal World will work to resolve any complaint in a reasonable fashion. The issues at hand are not related to workmanship and fall outside the scope of what was contracted for. Thus, Seasonal World will like to propose a site meeting with the customer with a Seasonal World Team Member that will be able to make recommendations as to a corrective course of action to help control surface/ground water situation. Once a plan is in place to control the surface/ground water situation then the issue with the wrinkles in the liner can be discussed and a reasonable solution can hopefully be reached. Seasonal World would also offer free access to our team of water testing professionals to help insure that the liner is not further damaged as result of improper water balance and/or chemical application. Again, our goal is to help resolve a complaint in a reasonable fashion. Although Seasonal World has no workmanship related defects with the services performed, we do not like to see unhappy customer and will work to help the customer resolve his issues in a reasonable fashion.

When I called for the service department to come out to my houses I was given a date and a time. I was very clear that I needed the pool up running for my party on Sunday. (This was Thursday.) So the guy shows up on Friday, looks at my pool and tells me he is just there to check out the job and see what "the other guy" is going to need. He claimed that he didn't have the chemicals on his truck and that he had come from a large job that ran over expected time. therefore he would not have time to do my job today. He proceeded to spend about 2 minutes showing me how the filter worked, and then another 25 minutes telling me how good he was at his job among other issues discussed... Before leaving, he assured me "the other guy" would be coming out tomorrow. And in the meantime I should go to the store and buy more chemicals.... When no one showed up on Friday I called the office to see what happened, I was told that the guy came out Thursday and that was all the "service" I was supposed to get. I explained that other than the two minute system overview, I didn't get any service. I was then told that it was my fault that iI never received any service because I never filled out and sent back their paperwork. ( I would have been happy to give it to the guy had he asked for it. Or had anyone told me it was mandatory before receiving service.) They already had my credit card info, so it's not like they weren't going to get paid. I went on to remind the young lady that I needed someone out on Saturday to do the job they had promised to do on Thursday. At that point I was told that they had no one available to come out to my house that day and that if I didn't like it I could "go some where else for my service." I sent Seasonal World an email explaining my problem and to date have not heard anything back. All they had to do is provide the service they promised, given me a good reason as to why they couldn't, or politely tell me that they couldn't do my service. It's the fact that the scheduler got so rude that upsets me the most. (I was not rude to her even though they left me in a bad spot and didn't seem to care.) To make matters worse, the fact that no one in the office thought my issues were serious enough to follow up makes me wonder if they care at all about how their employees treat their customers.
Description of Work: I recently moved into a home with an in-ground pool. I visited Seasonal World and explained to them that I was having a party in a week and needed it to get the pool up and running. They tried to get me to sign up for a service program. I told them I would like to do the job myself since it was much cheaper for me to do it myself and being recently retired, I had the time and wanted to save the money if possible. They told me what chemicals I needed to add to get the pool started toward up and running. After two days I noticed some improvement but not enough. I went back with a water sample and they told me to buy more chemicals. After three trips and $200 I decided to schedule their person to come out and do the job for me. No complaints so far.... Everyone was always friendly and helpful in the store.

Description of Work: My new inground swimming pool was started in the fall of 2011 as my husband and I wanted to make sure we got a full season of use this year. We shopped many different places as this was a large invest that we saved for quite some time. At the end of the day we chose Seasonal World as we felt that they had the most to offer compared to anyone else in our area and those that were not in our immediate area. With a purchase this large we were confident in our decision built have heard many horror stories as it related to pool installations. From the start the process was incredible! Seasonal World treated us, our backyard and our project as if we were their only one. This started during the sales and design process and continued all throughout the construction process until our pool school. As I said we started in the fall and the pool was almost completed with the exception of a few minor details that needed to wait until spring of this year. Seasonal World did a great job of coming during the course of the winter to check the site conditions, multiple times, without me or my husband every asking. When they reassumed work they were prompt about getting us finished. We recently finished our pool and once the water is ready we cannot wait to jump in. The process was so smooth is was almost unreal. In our wildest dreams we never thought we would have a pool in our backyard with a single problem. I could not possibly say enough good things about this company. They truly care about the customer and their individual project. We were nervous about this undertaking as we saved a long time to do this right. From start to finish the entire team always made sure that we in the know and that our project was important to them. I cannot wait to use our Seasonal World pool with our family and friends. If you are looking to build a pool, Seasonal World is hands down the choice.
