Fantastic. Jimmy helped me pick a color after giving sample stains in a few closets of the basement. Very professional, great quality. We chose an aqua color that came out lovely.
Description of Work: Sand, stain, and seal concrete basement in a 1971 ranch. Total square footage 2000.

Description of Work: For my basement, which is approximately 400 square feet, Concrete Makeover did the following on about a 1/3 of that floor (the rest remaining unfinished by my choice: |Day 1: Surface profiling / concrete patching/diamond grinding / |Day 2: Priming and Self leveling concrete |Day 3 epoxy primer |Day 4 Reflector epoxy application |Day 5 and Day 6 Redoing all of the above on problem area |Day 7 second coating of epoxy, and polishing | | This father and son team did an outstanding job. My basement floor was a 116-year-old unfinished concrete, pitted, cracked, and badly pitched floor. Alessio (the son) and his assistant redid the concrete on the floor, and then Alessio performed an artistic job on the epoxy covering, which is a stunning custom combination of three colors. | There was an unforeseen problem with the floor after the first epoxy job he did (there was some kind of moisture-filled pit under the old concrete that no one knew about, and it caused bubbling), and Alessio scraped off the epoxy and refilled and resealed the floor with a different product and re-epoxyed it. Alessio is clearly a perfectionist because he was pretty upset that this bubbling occurred. He used a higher grade filler to take care of the problem area but didn't charge me extra. His father, Jimmy Trabelsi, also impressed me because he was the "front man" and came very quickly after I called him to look at the job and committed to doing it with very little turnaround time. He came twice, both times on a weekend; at least once on a Sunday. It was a time-sensitive job because I was having my basement refinished, and the wall guys couldn't finish their job until the floor had been done. I found Jimmy to be a very pleasant fellow, and did a lot to accomodate that schedule. | Getting back to Alessio, he was very careful not to damage my new fabric walls, and I didn't find one epoxy stain on it. Whenever someone comes into my new finished basement, they say virtually the same thing: "Wow! I've never seen floors like this before!" |

We have a very old house and a small refinished basement, and so having work done can be a challenge. We are very happy with how our project with Concrete Makeover went. They were fastidious in terms of quality. During the last phase of the project--the epoxy coat--the epoxy didn't stick in some places along the base boards. They applied another coat and fixed the issue without hassle or extra charge. They also came in over the weekend so that it would be finished in time for visitors. We were incredibly appreciative of their response. Because this was our first experience with a concrete floor and with this company, we had questions along the way. The owner and his son were always responsive to texts and answered all of our questions to our comfort level. The floor looks terrific. We would work with them again or recommend them to others.
Description of Work: They put a concrete floor over our existing tiles in our basement. This required them to sand the tiles, put down self-leveling concrete and then finish it with a high-gloss epoxy.

We wanted the original concrete floor cleaned up, sanded/grinded and polished. We were encouraged to have a concrete overlay. We expressed our concerns about the durability and resistance to staining, ease of cleaning, but we were told not to worry. Mr. Trabelsi has a terrible temper and a poor communicator. Within a week, water would stain the floor. Stains from everyday life are very difficult to remove, requiring repeated scrubbings. A chair left deep gouge marks. We now have to find a way to cover the stains and perhaps put a better seal or an epoxy. Living on such a floor is a bear, watching your every move to make sure not a single drop of water or God forbid, some tea, might leave a stain or a mark. This is no way to live your life. Extremely disappointing.
Description of Work: Diamond grind concrete floor, apply concrete overlay, apply sealer.
