Janet Cleaning Service

I moved in in Decemember 2010 and the previous owner had left the house in very dirty condition. My regular cleaning lady worked mightily to get things cleaned but never quite caught up. I then had the whole house painted early summer, which layered even more dirt and dust. I called Janet and explained my situation including the fact that my regular cleaner had gone to Brazil for a couple of months. She could not have been kinder and more understanding. She agreed to work late on a Friday night to get the house ready for company. She and two of her workers arrived a little before 6, two more ladies arrived around 8 PM and they are worked till 11 PM or so. They scrubbed, dusted, cleansed (years of grease on the kitchen cabinets, and even finding construction debris!) throughout the house. They washed the insides of all the windows, scoured the bathrooms, washed the floors - every nook and cranny. Some of the members of her team were a little less enthusiastic, and I had to go over everything once I started catching "misses" but Janet thanked me for pointing things out and directed her team to go back. To be totally fair, cleaning a home one a Friday night after a full week of work is no easy task, but Janet was ever the professional and managed through things with her team. Janet, thank you!

Everything went excellent. She was prompt, professional, and did a really good job. She went above and beyond on all aspects. I have never dealt with a cleaning professional in my home, and I was surprised with her attention to detail. I would definitely use her again in the future.

It was my parents’ two-level house, and they did a thorough scrubbing of the whole house from top to bottom because it was for my sister’s wedding. They were very good and did a fantastic job; the house looks great. They were a little bit late, maybe by half an hour. On the day they came and did the estimate, they did call and say they had car trouble. On the day they came to do the cleaning, there were some other issues. They did call and let me know, which helped. I actually stuck around the whole day, but I was able to work around it. Their price was fair for the work they did and the amount of hours they worked. I would definitely recommend them to others.

This is the best cleaning I have ever had. When they left there was not a speck anywhere. I can tell you if you are looking for a cleaning service look no further. Janet and her team are wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

Janet responded within 24hrs of the initial call. She was flexible and willing to accomodate my needs. Her rates were extremely fair. Upon their timely arrival for the cleaning, the ladies were friendly. They took off their shoes and began cleaning from top to bottom of my home. I asked why are you taking your shoes off?...You surely do not have too and they replied "Oh...It's more comfortable this way" and I said if your comfortable I'm comfortable. By the end my home was spotless and it really took the pressure off of me in preparing my home for my son's graduation party. They were awesome!!

We had our interior house painted, our attic remodeled and our kitchen counter replaced. The house was a dusty mess in every room. Janet answered my inquiry responsively and professionally. Her estimate was thorough as she pointed out details that were missed by prior housekeepers. Her team did a spectacular job! I felt the cleanliness as soon as I walked into the house. She even cleaned my refriderator and oven. After weeks of construction, the dust was finally gone. The floors were spotless. It was a job very, very well done. I would hire her again without hesitation. Honestly, my 9 year old, who has asthma was literally dancing and singing in his room after they left! I was very pleased with Janet's work.

I was looking for a housecleaner bargain: one that would be reliable, inexpensive, and do a great job. We tried out one service that was overpriced and way underdelivered. I found Janet's Cleaning Service through an Angie's List search and called for an estimate. Janet responded almost immediately and came out within a couple of days to examine the house to create an accurate estimate for both a deep one-time cleaning and a biweekly service. It was a busy time for her, so I didn't hear for a few days, but when I did, we were very pleased with her prices. Coupled with that and the positive reviews she had here, we asked her to come in. She had to reschedule the visit since some work at another job had taken so long, but she called me with plenty of notice and we rescheduled for the next day. She came with a large crew and they stayed for over 5 hours. The house has *never* been this clean. Our original cleaner is now back so we haven't signed on with Janet for the biweekly service, but if he has to leave again, I would without hesitation bring Janet and her crew back. They were efficient, professional, reasonably priced and did such a fantastic job.

Janet's cleaning service was a lifesaver for us! We love Eugenia! Our two children, ages 3 and 4 loved her and didn't want her to leave! Eugenia really understands families and how things can be unpredictable at times. Our landlord called to inform us that they were coming to do an inspection of our home in one week. My husband travels out of town for his job and I am home alone with two small children. I have trouble keeping up with crumbs on the floor, never mind the dust on the blind or molding! I was a little worried when I found that I only had one week to have the whole house sparkling and dust free, our house gets very dusty very fast! My husband called Janet's cleaning service and left a message. Eugenia called us back within 24 hours and came to our home the next day (on a Sunday) on time and did an estimate. Eugenia told us things the landlord would look for, took notes and left us a message that our estimate was ready the next day. I called Eugenia and she said she could clean our home on Wednesday. I told her I needed something closer to the day the landlord would come because with my two kids it gets messy fast. She totally understood and offered to fit me in Friday, or I could pay extra and have them come Saturday. I asked her to come Friday and she she agreed. Unfortunalelty, I was quite ill when I woke up on Friday and my husband called to see if Eugenia could reschedule for Saturday. Eugenia agreed and they came at 9am on Saturday! It was such a relief and I am thankful that Eugenia was understanding. We left the house for a few hours and when we came back we were shocked! I couldn't find dust anywhere! I was surprised when I opened the fridge to get a water and noticed that it was spotless!!! I didn't even know this was included. They also cleaned inside the oven! They moved everything in our house that wasn't nailed down and thank goodness they did! Eugenia removed the box covers that were over our radiators in the bedrooms. She found the thickest dust I've ever seen and all different colors of chipped paint from over the years on all of our radiators!!! It looked like they hadn't been cleaned or painted in years! We didn't even know you could you could take those off because we've never lived in an older home. My first concern was lead paint dust, but Eugenia said it was unlikely. Eugenia did tells us that it was why everything is so dusty in our rooms. She also told us it could make us very sick. We told Eugneia that we were sick all winter when we had the heat on! Eugneia and the crew stayed over their estimated time just to clean these! We are now going to ask our landlord to have these cleaned, sanded and painted. Needless to say, we are more than pleased with Janet's cleaning service! They don't cut corners and they look out for things like this. Eugenia was even telling me that her son is allergic to dust, so she knows exactly where to find the dust and is passionate about it. We are planning on having Janet's Cleaning service come back to do bi-weekly cleanings from now on because of the results today. We can't thank them enough.

She calls beyond the time she was due to arrive, and then says she will be another half an hour late. This was her first day on the job. I let her know that I wouldn’t be able to do business with. I felt she was unreliable.

I engaged Janet for a total of three recurring services before terminating the relationship. The first cleaning was very thorough and I was more or less satisfied. The second cleaning had several problems which I reported to Janet. The cleaning crew used multiple roles of paper towels, which I found to be wasteful. In addition, there was wet hair in clumps all over my kitchen floor, and my front door was left unlocked. In her reply to me, she made excuses for the lapses in the service -- including telling me that I was wrong about the quality. On the most recent -- and last -- cleaning, I found that there were food products missing from my kitchen after the service (specifically, partial bottles of soda which I assume were thrown away by the cleaning crew). Janet's service is about 10 - 15% more expensive than other area competitors, and had expected that premium to buy me a higher level of service. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

Janet and her assistant took layers of grime away from top to bottom. I was particularly interested in having the bathrooms and kitchen cleaned and dusting and vacuuming done which hadn't been done in a long while. They worked hard and were very thorough. What particularly impressed me was the extreme respect they showed to my elderly parents during the whole time that they were there. I am sure they treated my parents as if they were Janet's parents. Overall, I would definitely use them on an ongoing basis and heartedly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent and reliable cleaning service. We are in the process of having a kitchen remodel done. After the construction and floors being sanded, Janet's cleaning service came in. They did an awesome job cleaning my walls and bathroom. They were prompt and professional. Janet came to inspect the work and even redid a few spots that she wasn't happy with. I would definitely recommend Janet's cleaning service.

We hired Janet's Cleaning Service for weekly cleaning of our small office. Janet responded quickly to my request for an estimate and came to see our office herself. Her quote was more reasonable than the chain services. But more importantly, she was willing to come during non-business hours to avoid any disruption to our business. Janet and her staff have been cleaning our office for a few weeks and have done a great job each time.

Not well. Athough Janet advertises that they service NJ, they don't. Five days after making an appointment with me, she called to cancel the appointment since I was too far from any of her other customers she decided she could not service my home.

Excellent cleaning, very nice people and honest! I don't have to worry about my valuables or other items in my home.

The first thing that impressed me about Janet was that she immediately scheduled a time to come to the house to give me an estimate. Another company that I had called just wanted to quote me an hourly price without even seeing my house. Janet's estimate was for the whole job - not hourly, and she took the time to thoroughly walk through every room of the house, ask questions, etc. Janet and her staff did a fantastic job - by the time they were done it looked like I had a new paint job from how fresh and clean everything was. Janet is incredibly nice and very professional. I will definitely call on her again!

Janet personally went to the property that needed cleaning and provided the estimate. She provided a fair estimate and is true to her word. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

After a rough start (weather, unexpected delays that were unavoidable) Janet's team came in and cleaned my house up to my standards. I came home to a wonderfully clean house, clean floors that shined, bathrooms spotless, and I could go on and on. Janet's team is excellent, and I would recommend ANYONE to use her services. I work 6 days a week and coming home to a beaufiully clean house was awesome! I look forward to the next time they come - they clean your house as if it were they're own!

OMG! I am happier than words can express! Janet and her team cleaned our house thoroughly. Its not finished as we have a large old 3 story farm house. They don't mess around and literally clean everything from top to bottom. They cleaned the whole kitchen including the cabinets, refrigerator and oven. They cleaned the baseboards, the chandeliers, and everything in between. Their attention to detail is impeccable. I thought their price was quite reasonable considering they were here for 7 hours and never stopped. They are coming back on Monday to finish the second floor and we have already discussed a regular cleaning. I found them on Angies List and based my decisions on all the other comments that Janet and her crew received. I definitely made the right choice and have already recommended her to some other people. They were a little late, but, they called ahead of time to make us aware that they would be. Janet runs a very professional business! If you don't like to clean, like myself, hire her! You won't regret it!

Its okay. It was very good the first time but since then, with the weather and everything it has been very difficult to judge. Times have changed, it's not their fault, I've had to cancel, they have had to cancel. I'm not crazy that its a different person every time and the people she drops off don't speak english. Its hard to communicate with them. Many of the workers don't speak english and they don't have cars so she drops them, they clean, then they have to wait for her to come. For me to even leave them a note, I don't think they would understand. I would say on a scale of 1-5 its been like a 3.9 or a 4.

Janet and I reviewed the work over the phone then agreed for her team to come clean our house on Saturday at 9AM. Janet and her helper showed up exactly at 9AM. We reviewed the cleaning job that needed to be done and agreed on a price. Without wasting any time Janet and her helper went to work doing an absolutely amazing job of cleaning our house every nook and corner was scrubbed and cleaned. We had a lot of dust and dirt from the renovation and once Janet was done cleaning we could not find a spec of dust in our house. She is a very diligent hard working woman who takes absolute pride in her job and will not cut corner, she makes sure that her customer is happy with the job. We were very impressed with Janet?s professionalism and quality of her work and will absolutely use her in the future for monthly house cleaning. She comes highly recommended by a very satisfied customer from North Jersey.

Janet was very responsive and set up an appt. Due to scheduling problems/traffic she was unable to keep the appt., but it was an hour after her expected arrival time that she called. It was right before Thanksgiving so it was understandable and we let it slide. We rescheduled for the following week, but again she/her team were running a couple hours later than the time she said they'd arrive, which in turn meant they were cleaning far later than we expected. Once they arrived, though, they did a spectacular job cleaning. Seriously great cleaning. Janet was also very apologetic for the scheduling problems. In the end, it seemed like Janet simply overbooked herself and/or didn't properly manage her/her team's cleaning time in an effort to secure the job and that the scheduled time was more of an approximation. But thanks to the quality of the cleaning and the price we would definitely use her services again and recommend her.
