Not happy with Janet's service or angie's list either

it was ok but disappointing. the original rep. came out was very punctual and professional. however, the cleaning crew that came out was not professional at all. the person in charge of the crew complained as soon as she walked in the door and continued complaining the entire time about the amount of work required. They did not clean everything and I had to go behind them and finish cleaning after they left. She was more interested in getting paid than in completing the job.

Same experience as the other "F" grades, but I am not going to give her multiple opportunities to be a no-show. She called 20 min prior to appointment to re-quest that I re-schedule. From the poor reviews, I was half-expecting this. I took the day off to interview, and can not readily re-schedule. I'll keep looking.

They are professional, punctual and friendly. Janet herself is always involved, that makes it nice. We trust them.

Janet herself visited first, and took detailed notes in each room on what needed special or extra attention. A few days later she provided the estimate ($300) which I thought was reasonable (I would have estimated ten hours of labor) and a few days later they did the clean.The team of two (both relatives of Janet - I particulary liked that it is a family bisiness) brought vacuum, mop everything else. They spent about 11-12 hours total (2 people for 5.5-6 hours each), and the place was utterly transformed. My girlfriend (who has very high cleanliness standards) checked it over and thought that the work was great and that I should hire them for ongoing maintainence cleaning (probaby biweekly). I plan to do so, and will update this review when I can comment on their consistency over a bit of time.

It went well. My place needed a real cleansing and Janet was able to get me in quickly with an estimate and they came the following week. I really liked her and they did an amazing job. I was mostly impressed. The were able to get to everything that I never have time for. The only thing I was not nuts about was the scent of the cleaning supplies. I will provide these in the future and am sure they will be great.

. When the ladies arrived they didn't waist a minute. I gave them a quick tour of the house They met my 95lb. golden retriever who sheds alot. I mention this only to give you an idea of what they were up against with all that fur. Armed with their own cleaning supplies including a vacuum they were like a whirl wind. Starting with the bedrooms they went from ceiling to floor. Next, the bathrooms became spotless. Then, the kitchen sparkled, they even organized the inside of the refridgerator! The cathedral ceiling no longer had cobwebs and the windows were free of dog prints. Last, the neglected family room was completed as well as the laundry room. They worked for five hours straight. They refused a cup of tea or anything cold to drink. They had their own bottled water. They did a wonderful, professional job. You will not be dissapointed if you use Janet's Cleaning Service.

I was not allowed to enter N/A on the rating scale. That is the reason for the "F" There was a estimate provided without seeing the home. I was expecting Janet to provide a firm quote once she saw the size of the home. Janet called a half hour before her appointment saying she was running 45 minutes late. Two hours later she called about traffic problems. I waited for 3 hours. I had to leave. I called her and sent her a text that I needed to leave. She called after I left the house. I did not reschedule.

I have found the service excellent and Janet is very responsive to feedback or particular needs. One thing that has been extremely helpful is her flexibility when we have a calendar or timing issue with our scheduled cleaning. She always works to make it work out for us, in the most professional way. I highly recommend her and appreciate her approach, responsiveness and professionalism. I feel she always puts the customer first.

I set a time to meet with Janet and just prior to her time to arrive she called and said she had a problem regarding her children, OK, I am a mother and know how these things go, but, she didn't call back to reschedule so I again called her. Two days went by and she called and apologized for the delay and we set another appointment. The day arrived but Janet did not. Sad to say, I was willing to forgive the first few misses due to her wonderful reviews, but, with the responses I have seen so far I could not be sure she would show up on the scheduled cleaning day, would not be able to hire based on her track record with me.

Excellent. The cleaning is excellent, very personal & professional. They come bi weekly when I am home in NJ

They cleaned my entire house including blinds. The kitchen was unremarkable and it was a GREAT job. I did not expect what i received. They went above and beyond. I was really impress. Thank you.

"Janet" came with two girls who were excellent. They virtually did a "white glove" cleaning, beautifully. If I had it to do over, I would have gotten an estimate and compared it with a couple of others, but there would have been no guarantee that another service could have done as well. I thought they were a bit pricey.

Janet responded to my request almost immediately and came over for an estimate. We agreed on a date for the service, she showed up early with her crew. They spent five hours going through the house from top to bottom and got into all the nooks and crannies. My house looked amazing when they were done. We have asked Janet to come back on a biweekly basis to maintain. I would highly recommend her.

My former cleaning service was very unreliable in keeping appointments and didn't do a good job every time. However, they were cheap and we got what we paid for. When I contacted Janet for an estimate, she returned my call the next business day & immediately setup an appointment for an estimate. She arrived on time and gave me an estimate about 3 days later. We have been using Janet's cleaning service for about 2 months now and have been very satisfied. The house always looks great when they're done & I don't have to worry about them not showing up. Update: After about 6 months, they stopped showing up consistently, raised out rates, and the quality of the cleaning diminished. We have moved to another cleaning service.

We had a cleaning woman for years and when the recession hit we decided to clean our house.If we had known about Janet's Cleaning service we would of never cleaned ourselves. We are very happy with the quality and reasonable price. This cleaning service is a keeper.

Sadly, Janet's workers got progressively worse. After about 4 months we had to look for someone else. The last time they came floors and carpets didn't seem to be vacuumed, there was dust everywhere and the bathrooms didn't get much of a cleaning. The only thing gone was the money we left for her services. She is very nice and attentive, as everyone says, and her initial cleaning was pretty good (and a bit more expensive), but she doesn't do the cleaning. Unfortunately I see that the last few reviews have been pretty bad. I'm not sure what happened, maybe she lost her best workers, but the cleaning was really bad. I would advise against using her.

First, Janet, the owner, missed her first scheduled appointment to give me an estimate. That was a red flag, but I figured everyone makes a mistake now and then. Janet provided some excuse. Janet's service was scheduled to clean my apartment every other week. WIthin two and a half months, they only cleaned my apartment twice, and they missed their scheduled appointments THREE TIMES within a month and half, and each time Janet gave a lame excuse. This service is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! DO NOT USE THAT AT ALL! Also, they used Soft Scrub on the bathroom vanity area, which left mirco-scratches on the surface.

My home had been rented to tenants with cats and it was quite a mess. Janet's crew did a fabulous job and exceeded my expectations. She is such a hard worker and very client focused. Her crew is very dedicated so you really get your money's worth.

This was the second time I contacted Janet's to get a thorough cleaning done at my house. I was extremely impressed the first time around and wanted an even more extensive job done this time (for which I paid a little more). Again, the workers arrived on time and got right to work. They dusted, vacuumed, wiped, scrubbed and mopped until everything was clean and neat. I was very satisfied with the work. Now that I've worked with Janet twice, I feel confident in saying that she is an honest, dedicated, and hardworking person. Both times she personally came to my house and pitched in for at least part of the day, enlarging the crew to 3. Phone calls are always returned, and she truly seems to care about her customers and her employees. I highly recommend Janet's Cleaning Service!

She came to our house and told my husband she would provide us with a quote for a 1 time deep cleaning and then another quote for a biweekly cleaning visit. Well- she has his cell phone number and it's almost been two weeks- we have never received a call or a mailed quote. Thanks, but no thanks, Janet. We took the money we would have spent with you and bought a new vacuum.

It went well. It too longer than was expected.

I left Janet the message and she called me back the next day. We setup the time and she came over to give me the estimate. When she came she walked through room by room and took notes. She told me what need to be done, and how they going to do it. Three of them came, spend more than four hours. They did a fantastic job. We are very pleased with their work. Hired them to come bi-weekly.

They did a great job!!! We moved to Weehawken 2 years ago and have tried several services and all were terrible. Janet came to our house in person to give us an estimate, she took detailed notes of what needed to be done. Her crew was very professional and respectful of our home. We now have her cleaning service on a bi-weekly basis.
