I was nervous about getting the oil tank removed. I had heard horror stories about costs and messes.  7 Oil was recommend to me, and they were fantastic.  The cost was very reasonable.  They got it done in less than three hours.  There was no mess, no issues, no problems at all. I was a pleasure to deal with professionals, and I would highly recommend 7 Oil, especially John Viteo and John Miller.

I needed a replacement radiator for my guest room, and new baseboard for a small bathroom.  7 Oil was able to secure and paint a cast iron radiator for me, and managed to find one at a low cost.
Service was excellent.  They showed up on time and were honest and accurate with their work.  John and Phu were both very polite and professional.  They took the time to do the job right, and even went out for a special drill bit so as to not damage the tile in my bathroom.  John's approach was "I treat it like I would my own home."
John has been out to the house before for regular servicing - he is always cordial and takes the time to explain to me any issues.  Phu was also excellent, and paid attention to small details, such as avoiding getting my carpet dirty after his boots were wet.
My new radiators are working great, and the old ones seem to be a notch better after having the system bled.  7 Oil is a great company both for their competitively priced oil and their wonderful repair men.  Highly Recommended!

The oil was delivered very quickly and at a very good price. No complaints, BUT, two holds were placed on my bank account, one for 500 dollars and then another for 385.95 which was the actual delivery price. Instead of placing the original hold and refunding me the balance, they placed the second hold ( the actual price) and tied up my money for 3 to 5 days until the bank would have put it back into my account. So 885.95 was being held by the bank for payment of a 385.95 dollar payment. When I contacted the oil company the first person I spoke with was very sympathetic and very professional even though I was a little emotional and apparently loud with her. When I apologized she replied none was needed because she would not want the same thing to happen to her. But again, when she transferred me to her manager, they were not so understanding and defended there policy as if tying up my money for there security and convenience was perfectly okay. They did offer me a solution which would have only tied up the money for 4 days but still defended there policy. I contacted the Better Business  Bureau and explained my problem and asked if they thought it was ethical and did I have a complaint, they agreed that  they should not have done this and I in fact did have a complaint of which I posted with documents showing what had transpired. When contacting the oil manager again and telling her of my conversation with the BBB, she offered me the same solution and told me to go ahead and file it. The problem is with the wording apparently, and what I mean by this is if I had asked for a certain amount of oil they would have charged me for that amount and refunded me the difference. I believe this is a fair and reasonable way to do business, but because I asked for a FILL,  the above mentioned happened. Luckily  I was able to straighten this out with my bank without the help of the oil company and got the 500 dollar hold taken off after a number of phone calls and about three hours of my time. Although the practice of putting an initial hold on the estimated amount of oil I may need is in my opinion fair, placing the second hold is out of line. So just a warning to you, either place an order for a lesser amount and pay a litter more, or estimate the amount yourself and pay that and get a refund if you don't need all you ordered, but don't ask for them to fill the tank. I know I will never do that again!!!

Unfortunately, it is our policy to authorize a card before a fill up and explain to the customer the process of authorization. As soon as the delivery is made we capture the correct amount from the funds placed on hold for the delivery and the remaining is then released. They are not two separate charges, though it appears as so on your bank statement. However, the funds that were authorized may be put on a hold for up to 5 days after we release them, depending on your bank. For future reference, we do offer many other ways to pay, such as check, cash, money order, or billing (requires a credit check). We hope this experience doesn't affect your positive view and satisfaction with our company. Again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Great! .When I told the receptionist that our heater may have to be primed because it was so low, she sent a deliveryman out to our home immediately, and this was during one of those days we had a cold spell. Thank you 7 Oil Company!

7 Oil is my Oil Company of choice. I called this morning because i was out of oil completely and they delivered oil earlier today and primed the oil burner to restart my heater. I  have used them for many years and they  always .provide me with EXCELLENT service

Several months ago they also removed an underground oil tank and replaced it with oil tanks in my basement. They were expeditious, thorough, and extremely professional.

Whenever i need an oil delivery I can ALWAYS count on 7 Oil to Deliver.

7 Oil was not good at all in responding or communicating with me.  We were moving and needed to have the oil tank out.  We contacted them about six weeks before the move.  The guy I needed to talk to was not in the office, so they gave me his cell number.  I thought that was great, figuring I'd have a more direct line of contact.  7 Oil gave me the best price, so I went with them.  A classic case of "you get what you pay for."  I dealt with weeks of trying to get a date, only to have the date come and go with no communication.  The day they were supposed to arrive, they didn't show.  I called the office, they called the guys, the guys called me and said they couldn't be there for a few hours.  Then called at 4:00 to say they couldn't make it at all because they didn't have a truck to take the oil.  (Didn't they know that earlier in the day?) Nearly the same thing happened the following time that they gave me, except they let me know around noon that they couldn't come, after promising that they'd be there in the morning.  With a week until our moving date, I was beside myself.  When talking with them, they weren't really rude, but showed no compassion and I never received any apology.  They also wanted me to pay the day they emptied and cut up the tank, leaving it on the side of our house.  They said that someone from their office would come and pick it up.  I said I wouldn't pay them until it was gone.  They did come pick it up three days before we moved, but the stress level in dealing with them was through the roof.  I felt they had no consideration for our time line or situation.  In retrospect, I would definitiely pay more to work with people who were professional and caring.

I want to assure you that customer service is a number one priority of 7 Oil Company and just because we offer competitive pricing does not mean we offer sub par service. I know the damage is done and in no way do I think we should be removed of our responsibility to our customers but I would like to address a few of your concerns as it pertains to tank removal and our company in general that might help you or anyone else who might be having a storage tank removed… 1) Scheduling can be very difficult and jobs can get backed up for a few weeks at times. Every customer has needs, demands and requests that we do our best to work around, this all comes into play. Since the majority of our customers are facing a deadline since tank removals are generally brought on by the sale of a home. This can become a juggling act at times, for example, ground tank removals can get cancelled multiple times due to weather. Since that customer is still on a deadline, we have to make sure they are a priority while still focusing on other customer needs and timelines. This most likely had something to do with your setbacks. Again no excuse for poor communication on our part. 2) Permitting affects job timelines as well. Permits are a must when it comes to storage tank removals and we will not complete any work without them. With that said, the permit process takes time and the turnaround time of the township we’re working with can negatively affect the timeline of a job. Once the job is complete, we are required to leave the tank for inspection. Unfortunately, this is ALWAYS an inconvenience to the customer and something that is usually unavoidable since the time and day when the township is available to inspect the tank is not always in line with what we require or request. That is probably why your tank was left at your property. Payment is always collected at the time the job is complete. I understand your concern when you say it’s not complete until the tank is removed from the property. Currently that is our process since the person picking up the tank is not always equipped with the correct information or invoicing capabilities. 3) We will use our much appreciated feedback to improve our processes. I can assure you we will use the information provided and make a conscious effort to improve upon areas in question. The delivery was done approximately when they said they would be there.  We have been using 7 Oil since we moved in two years ago and their service has been great.  Highly recommend the service contract because it has come in handy with a couple of issues our boiler had.  They are always professional and repair any issue quickly.

We are very happy with their service. Recently, when we called them regarding the leakage in tank in our basement, they told us about a program that funds for replacing the tanks. The last time they came was a couple of weeks ago. We belong to an oil co-operative, which teams up with a group of oil companies, to which 7 Oil Co also belongs. So, we get the oil cheaper than what the company actually charges the others. Their office management could be a little more effective though.

We had changed from a oil furnace to gas furnace years ago, they just didn't remove the oil tank. They came out and dug it up for me. I had to contact the insurance company, thats the only thing that I had to do.
