The provider did a great job my only complaint if any would be it might be a good idea to prepare the client of the need to paint or have a sheet rock repair kit available to retouch any alterations in your wall. This certainly is just the nature of the beast as the provider is an electrician not a handy man who does sheet rock and paint. I am just a detail oriented person and I don't like surprises unless I am in control.

Overall experience was terrific. A+ all the way. Joe is an asset.

In the final analysis, it all worked out well. Rich Holman stayed with me until I was happy. But it took some doing. Initially, Joe and a helper came out and tried to fix my flickering lights by fixing the wiring in the kitchen and garage switches. However, it didn't work. That evening i again noticed that both the garage and kitchen lights were flickering. i was frustrated as I had spent $200 and my problem wasn't resolved. I called Rich back and he offered to send Joe and his helper out again at 10am on a Thursday to fix it. Through a mix up on their end, not relayed to me, i essentially waited 2 1/2 hours and they hadn't come. Joe called me an hour after he was late and said he would be there in 20 mins. That didn't happen. I called 45 mins later and he said he'd be there in 20 mins. That didn't happen. I finally called him after 2 1/2 hours and told him not to come. I was not a happy camper. i was about to write a far different Angie's review when Rich called me on Monday am. After I told him my frustration, he told me Joe would come out again at 8:30 the next day and he wouldn't charge me anything to fix the problem. I was hopeful. Joe showed up on time. Tracked the problem to the light receptacle, where the bulb connects with the light itself. And he found lots of play and looseness. He adjusted all the receptacles and replaced some of the bulbs with more proper bulbs. I haven't had a problem since. So, I can't say it was smooth, but Rich stuck with it and I'm happy with the outcome.

Rich and his crew performed the install quickly and professionally. and made sure we qualified in time for a New Jersey homeowner's subsidy plus interest-free loan for energy improvements. They worked, at our request, with another contractor, Dogstar Energy, which performed the energy audit and insulation installation. Rich recommended a different HVAC unit based on his experience handling repairs as well as handed installation of the unit.. He also helped up with the permitting process. So far we have been thrilled - we can now walk from room to room and use any room in the house without bundling up or hiding in one room with the electric baseboard barely turned up only there. What luxury! Chesterfield has done other work for us and at my partner's business, and we have always been pleased with his and his staff's knowledge and responsiveness. I fully recommend Chesterfield for electrical and HVAC work.

Joe was great. He found what the issues were to why the lights were not functioning. Joe also corrected poor "fixes" the previous homeowner did. Would call him any time to do work on the house.

The entire project was well planned and executed. The team was very flexible especially about accommodating changes because of physical limitations/ layout of the house. The cables were pulled through the ceiling and walls with barely noticeable marks on the walls and ceilings. They went way beyond my expectation to match the color of the switches with the rest in the house. They installed LED lights, even though the manufacturer shipped regular lights. After each day, they left the work area (landscaping, internal space) clean when they were done for the day. The team was knowledgeable and provided good consulting advice on how the lighting and cameras should be placed.. The contracting process and scheduling was also very efficient. No wasted time or effort. Thank you Rich, Joe, Martin, Lou for a job well done! I have no hesitation in recommending this team to anyone.

Great service from beginning to end. They were able to accomodate around our schedule, they arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. This project was a large project from beginning to end and took them 4 days. They walked us through the process and helped us get the right permits and inspections. No complaints from us on their workmanship. Now we're able to enjoy using natural gas heat rather than electric heat.

They did a phenomenal job. Can't recommend them strong enough. Both technicians were extremely courteous and there were no issues during the installation. Price was what was agreed to when initial estimate was provided. Very, very happy with the quality of service provided, and will absolutely use them again/recommend them for future work.

It went very well. He was really nice and did a good job. They came out the same day that I called. He was very friendly and efficient.

Rich Holman, the owner, answered my call immediately and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate. He arrived promptly and we went through a list of my concerns which were primarily based at our electrical panel box and had to do with installing gfci circuit breakers for a jacuzzi tub we installed in our bathroom, installing a sub panel and moving some of the breakers to the subpanel so that the panels were up to code. Additionally, he was to hard wire a ceiling fan and install a new dimmer switch in our kitchen. He sent one of his men out to do the job the following Monday, subpanel was installed and work was performed as needed. Ceiling fan was not hard wired but was fixed, because the electrician found that the reason we were having issues with the lighting on the fan was that the fan was incorrectly wired initially. He rewired the fan and informed us of a reset switch on the wall switch that I was unaware of .Everything is now working perfectly. I received other estimates and Rich's prices are reasonable, the work was performed quickly and professionally. I would not hesitate to use Chesterfield electric again in the future.

I had a problem with some outlets, so I contacted 5-7 companies on Angie's list. Except for Chesterfield Electric, every single one of them replied with minimum quotes and fees for service calls without really asking much about the situation. This company was kind enough to actually read the issues I laid out in the contact email and spent the time to think of some simple troubleshooting steps. And they were spot on! I did not need any service, but rather a 30 second fix. I was so impressed with their care for their customers that I now refer them to anyone who needs Electrical / HVAC.

They do an outstanding job and are very customer service oriented. All employees are highly professional. Their response time is outstanding if you have a problem. I have recommended them countless times.

installation completed within promised time frame. A more accurate and comprehensive evaluation will be possible in a few years based on the units (American standard) repair history and the vendors responsiveness.

He was terrific. He told me exactly how much it would cost. The prices are terrific. They have integrity. They show my husband what he had to repair. I was impressed that he pointed out the rusted breaker when he was not there to do that repair.
