Your Duct Guy - Professional Cleaners

All aspects of the service were excellent. They were responsive by phone, came within the specified time window, called to let us know when they would be there, and did a very thorough job. The gentlemen that did the service were polite and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves and were done in about 30 minutes.

I purchase the $59 dryer duct cleaning from Angie's list on September 23,2014. The service provider called me to schedule the appointment and told me he is very busy this time of year and I had to schedule two weeks after the day we talked. He told me he would schedule me as his first appointment between 7 and 8 am on October 7, 2014. That was great for me. On October 7 at 7:45 am provider called to tell me he was behind and would be at my home between 8:30 and 9 am. At 9:20 I had not heard from him so I gave him a call. There was no answer. He called me back. I identified myself and asked what the problem was that he had not yet arrived. He said that there was a problem at his first job. I told him( because I wrote down our conversation when I scheduled him two weeks prior) that I was told that I was his first job of the day and did not appreciate the misrepresentation. He told me that he did not have to check with me and that I can cancel the appointment with Angie's List. I told him that I called him due to the excellent reviews on Angie's List that I read and that I was sorry that I relied on what I had read. I also told him that I could not believe that he would talk to a customer that way and that he obviously did not need my business. As I told Leslie at Angie's List when I called about this, I have hired other service providers from Angie's List and have had wonderful experiences. I am shocked that this occurred. I am so grateful that Angie's List exists and have recommended to so many of my friends that they invest the minor fee for these great experiences. Dianne Hirsch

The Duct Guy just left our home and he was excellent! Extremely professional, honest, knowledgeable and thorough. He walked my husband and I through each step as he was cleaning our dryer duct/vent so that we understood what was involved in the service. I would highly recommend this service.

It was a month before we could even schedule with them because they were so busy. When we got the first date scheduled, we had someone waiting at our home for the provider to come. When he didn't show up or give us a call, we got in contact with him. He let us know that he forgot about us because of his schedule. We rescheduled and they failed to show or call a second time. We haven't heard from them at all since.

They came as expected but found that the dryer vent was on the roof and they had no ladders to get there. There was no move on their part to come back with ladders so I assume they wouldn't honor the price for cleaning the vent on the roof. The big deal did not mention it was limited to vents on outside walls. Wouldn't use again.

It went very well. He was efficient and did a good job.

Arrived at the given time and we dressed professionally. Examined the dryer hook up and determined it was kinked. He had a new vent hose and installed if for an additional $29.00 (I can verify that the old connection was bent and trapping lint). They installed a new dryer exhaust with bird guard at no cost. I would highly recommend this company and will refer additional neighbors to them.

Lavan and Carlos were very professional, knowledgeable and polite. When working on the dryer vent they recommended replacing the hose. Ours was old and not as flexible as it was originally. They were able to replace it while they were here. Before leaving, they cleaned up so there was no trace that they had been there. We were very pleased with their work and plan on having them return to clean the dryer vent on a regular basis.

THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY WENT OVER AND ABOVE GIVING GOOD SERVICE. THEY CLEANED UP AND PUT EVERYTHING BACK IN PLACE. THEY SUPPLIED A NEW HOSE TO REACH THE NEW LOCATION OF A. PRIOR VENT LOCATION. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEM TO COME BACK AND CLEAN BOTH OF MY AIR CONDITIONERS WHICH GOT CLOGGED FROM OLD DRYER VENT BEING SO CLOSE TO THEM.

When they came the first time to do an air duct cleaning, they found out that the units have never been cleaned before. We purchased the 28 year old house a view weeks ago and were very surprised. They found three dead rats in the basement unit which they removed. I wanted to get cleaned everything after knowing this, so it was necessary to schedule another appointment to do the air duct cleaning as well as to clean the two units. They also recommended a good washable filter which they ordered for me. They didn't even charge their work that day, although they removed the rats and looked into the system (one unit is in the attic and its hard to get there). When they came the second time, they worked for about 7 hrs to clean everything and to install the filters. They also showed me where my pipes allowed animals to get in the units and they closed the wholes. Levin and Nick were extremely friendly and knowledgeable guys. I will definitely use the company every year to clean the air duct.

They called in the morning and told me they would not make it in the schedule window. They kept me informed on what time they would arrive. When they arrived they got to work right away, did a great job and clean up after themselves. I would use them again.

These guys were great. They respected my home and property and were meticulous about their work.

He was professional, and they were courteous. They climbed on the roof, and sucked out the lint from the roof, because the way it is vented in our house, it goes straight up, and he did a very good job. The price was good, I believe I have paid more than that for the service in the past. There was some problem with communicating, we left messages, and we had to change the date, but we could not get a hold of him. The message box was full, and his email wouldn't go through, but he called and sorted it out finally.

After discussing with them, I decided I no longer need the Big Deal so I requested a refund.

I originally purchased the special $59.99 to have the dryer vent cleaned. The men arrived and suggested to have it replaced. The vent I had was old, and they showed me, what the new vent would be and I decided to have them replace my vent at a cost of $79.99 They sent an email through Angie's list, that my original purchase is good till 12/2015. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. .

They called and said they would be 20mins. They arrived with the 20mins. They were very professional with there work and showed us the results of their work.

All went well. They were courteous and wore shoe covers. Very clean. I would definitely use them again.

Lavan and Carlos arrived within the specified time which was great as I had taken a day off from work to be at the house for the service. They were very polite and professional. Lavan looked at my really old dryer hose and mentioned it could be a fire hazard. I knew this from previous research. We talked about installing a replacement and the benefits of having that done. So they went about their job: moved the dryer away from the wall, cleaned everything including all the dust behind the dryer. I decided to have the new hose installed right then. Lavan explained how the next cleaning could be done with the new hose in place. The men took all the trash and the old equipment after the new hose installation. They did an excellent job and I would hire them again. I was very pleased with the service from Your Duct Guy.

Everything went excellent. Professional, reliable, and immediate phone contact. When the men arrived, they were punctual and extremely respectful. They were very courteous and worked quickly, but very thoroughly. They did a superior job cleaning my washer/dryer and walls from where the broken hose spread lint everywhere! My furniture was moved with extreme carefulness. When they were finished, they cleaned up so well, it looked better then when they arrived. :) I cannot say enough good about "Your Duct Guy". Highly recommend!

I was contacted promptly when I purchased the deal and we arranged a date that worked on our schedule. I told Your Duct Guy I had some concerns about some areas of my actual duct which appear to be dislodged. He said they would look at it. A time between 10-12 was set for arrival and at 11:30 they called and said they were running behind and would be there about 1, and they were. We pointed out where some of there ductwork appeared to need repair. The tech said, if we wanted to run out and pick up the piece needed, he would put it on at no extra charge. He did. Before hiring Your Duct Guy I did some research on what these services entail. There seemed to be two kinds of duct cleaning. Those that come and hook up to your forced air unit and suck out the vents to a unit outside the house. The cost of this service seemed to be about @$400. The other kind of service is those that came with shop vacs with hoses/brushes and go in through each vent and tend to cost much less. Considering that Your Duct Guy was offering a $400 service at a discounted price, I assumed their "complete air duct system" including cleaning one forced air system, would have hooked up to the unit and cleaned that way. This did not happen. In fact, the tech pointed out to my wife how the fan on our unit was dirty and would need to be cleaned. They cleaned our ducts by using shop vacs at each vent. The tech told my wife that they did offer a "Deep Cleaning" at additional cost and that he did not have the tools needed to do it that day. I assumed I was getting the "Deep Cleaning." Our ducts were very dirty. We have been in the house for a few years, but they were probably never cleaned by any previous owners. The service Your Duct Guy provided was very useful and done well - I just dont think it was complete. I feel I was lead to believe that we were getting a "Deep Cleaning." I do not feel that the need to dispute the services I received, ask for a refund, or request they come back out. The lesson is that I thought the price was too good to be true, and it was. I was leary of paying up front, and that apprehension was founded.

One of the reasons I did not use this provider was that he could only come at 3:00 p.m. for 3 hours. His fee was for 12 ducts only. I found another provider.,

I took the offer of an Angie's List "special" and ordered dryer duct cleaning. I got a call within a couple of days from the Duct Guys, and we set a date and a window on that date during which they would show up. On the day of the service, they called early during the window to let me know they were running slightly behind schedule. I work from home so that wasn't really a problem. They gave me an updated ETA, and eventually showed up earlier than they expected. They were professional, courteous and quick. They took care of the duct cleaning in about 20 minutes. There was a lot of lint to clear away, which they did without leaving any mess behind. They were courteous, very professional, and their vehicle and equipment were obviously well-maintained. I'd use them again anytime. I gave them a "B" for price as I believe the "discounted" price was appropriate to the amount of time and effort required for this relatively simple task. I don't know that a significantly higher "regular" price would be fair. I also gave them a "B" for punctuality only because they were unable to arrive during the original timeframe. But as I noted, they called to alert me that they were running late, and they came well within the promised revised time . Overall, no complaints whatsoever, and I would recommend.
