Your Duct Guy - Professional Cleaners

Originally purchased the dryer vent cleaning, but the technicians discovered that the previous owners had inappropriately routed the dryer vent into the attic, and the buildup of lint was dangerous. They completely replaced the entire vent, working very quickly (I had a party to go to, and they didn't want to make me late!) and efficiently. I appreciated their efforts, and I thought the price for the work was very reasonable.

I called for a vent cleaning and they noticed that this would not solve my issue. They changed the way the vent is run and provided me with a new venting system all for $100. They were professional, respectful, and clean. Was very pleased with my first Angie's list hire.

After purchasing the "special" dryer vent cleaning I was contacted 4 times in an hour to schedule my appointment by the same person who didn't remember calling me to schedule the appointment. The appointment had to be scheduled a month out as I was told this is their "busy" time and they scheduled by area. So the appointment was set for today, Nov 14th, between 8-10 AM, a more than ample window of time. As of 11:30 I have not seen nor heard from anyone at the company and of course no one answered the phone and the "technician on call" was not available and you needed to leave a message. I don't know how this company got an "A" rating from Angie and I should have known from the 4 phone calls within an hour that they didn't have a clue as to what they were doing nor do they actually have a formal schedule or scheduling process. It is now 3 hours after the appointment "window" and still no show or call from the "technician on call." I'm sure getting my money back will also be an issue.

From start to finish Levin and his associate did an outstanding job. They were very polite and went out of their way to explain each step of the process. Levin showed pictures he had taken with his IPhone of the vents and returns prior to and after his cleaniing. He explained using just the rotobrush would only remove the soft dust and not the dried or caked on dust. Levin manually scrubbed inside each vent and return along with the vacuuming to remove every bit of dirt. Each vent and return was then sanitized and sprayed with a disenfectant. Levin noticed the paper heater filter I was using was totally inadequate and suggested permanent air filters. He even inspected my heater and suggested that I have the heater cleaned in the next six months. I was shown a picture of my house heater blower and was told when they clean and inspect the furnace the blower is removed and cleaned, as well as the inside dust being vacuumed out of the heater. I was very impressed both with their knowledge and attention to detail. Your Duct Guy is the only company I will call from now on to take care of my duct work and furnace cleaning needs.

It went very well. We scheduled an appointment for Oct 12th. They were in my area several days prior to that and had time, so they came early to complete the work. They were extremely friendly and efficient. We will definitely use them for future duct and vent work.

I called and left a message over a week ago. But, I still haven't heard anything from them.

Showed up during the time frame they said they would. Completed all work in the timeframe they estimated it would take. Explained the process and executed it. Everything went great.

The team did a great job thoroughly cleaning all of our vents, ducts, and furnace. They were hardworking, thorough, and professional. We will use them again in the future. The team was late owing to unexpected issues at a prior appointment, but they kept us posted on their updated arrival time, worked very hard to complete our job on time, and provided some compensation for the inconvenience.

They were professional, friendly and informative. I needed my A/C filter replaced, but the unit is in a tight closet with folding doors. They were willing to take the door off, replace the filter, and even gave me the heads up on a different filter that I could get with a lifetime warranty that would fit the space better. When they left, my home felt fresh and smelled like spring.

went well.. hje used a snake with a wire brush attached to a hand drill... was impressive. the tech made the enitre procedure look like a work of art... theatrical with his helper : )

Did a great job cleaning out a ton of lint from the dryer. Even let my kids watch and assist when they showed interest in what was going on. Very neat and fast. Cleaned up beautifully and wore shoe covers to protect from dirt and lint. They arrived a little later than I expected but worked fast and finished before dinnertime.

Provider was great. He called me when he was on the road to let me know he was on the way. Did a great job and cleaned up after the job. Great value for the price paid.

The technicians called ahead to say they were going to be a bit late and gave a new arrival time. They arrived close to the new time and were very polite and professional. They discovered that my vent was not properly sealed between sections, so they re-sealed them for me. They explained everything and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. When they entered the laundry room through my basement entry door, they noticed that the door did not close properly because part of the metal frame was protruding. One of the technicians actually filed down the metal frame for me. Awesome!

They arrived on time, calling ahead to let me know they were on their way. Very pleasant, polite young man and assistant. Not only did they clean the vent and hose, but they secured the hose with screws. I thought that might be an additional charge, but it was not. Very pleased.

The professional from Your Duct Guy called on the morning of scheduled service to inform me that he would arrive around 9am. He arrived precisely on time. He offered to put shoe covers on prior to entering my home, which I appreciated but declined. The gentleman then proceeded to inspect my dryer ductwork. I explained that I had noticed cracks and portions of breakdown in the flexible tubing. The professional pointed out areas of concern and offered to replace those portions for an additional fee, which I found reasonable. He explained upfront what he would do and how long it would take (30 minutes). After I agreed to the ductwork replacement (I had paid only for dryer ductwork cleaning), the professional proceeded to replace the ductwork. He then showed me the areas where he had improved the ductwork. He vacuumed the entire washer-dryer room and cleaned up the old ductwork. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with this vendor. Their professional was courteous, prompt, and informative. I would gladly recommend their service to friends and neighbors.

When the men arrived, they pulled the dryer away from the wall and they showed me that the duct connection at the dryer end had deteriorated and was no longer able to be connected successfully. There was a lot of lint trapped at the dryer end as well as at the outside. They explained that I needed new duct installed. When the outside vent was inspected, they showed me as they pulled out a great deal of lint, as well as part of a bird's nest. The flap doors on the outside vent were also coming loose. So the new duct material was installed, along with a new vent cover and a grate to keep birds out. The men were very helpful and professional and cleaned up completely before they left. I was a lot less worried about the possibility of a fire after their work was done.

Our townhouse development requires the cleaning of dryer vents every year. I found Your Duct Guy on Angie's List and set up an appointment for the job. In the meantime, four of my neighbors contacted them as well so they came out today to do all five houses in a row. Very nice and polite. For a small additional charge, they replaced a hose behind my dryer which they showed me was defective. They cleaned up inside the house and also outside. Will definitely call them again next year.
