We listed our house for sale with a local, reputable real estate agency. A couple of months later, we received an offer on the house. We noticed that something was "wrong in Danemark" after the house was under contract. On a side note, we were purchasing another house and the sale of our home and purchase of the new home were to happen on the same day. The issues arose whenever my realtor attempted to contact Robert Irvine about things that needed to be done, such as receiving a mortgage committment letter, doing the home and pest inspection, etc. Mr. Irvine would not return phone calls, blow deadlines, and then schedule things at the last minute. At first, we tolerated it. However, as we neared the closing date, we STILL had not received the mortgage committment letter - enter Frank Pecora. Also, we even received a crazy call from Irvine stating that the buyer was backing out and the deal was done. He then called an hour later stating that the committment letter was on its way. When pressed, he admitted that he was having personal problems and that the buyer never, ever said that he wanted out of the deal. WHAT?!?! To make a very long story short, Weichert dropped the ball big time. They did not get the documents or information they required on time and continuously lied (to both us and the buyer) about the status of the buyers' financing. It got to the point when all of our possessions were loaded on the back of a moving truck and we were camping on the floor because closing had to be pushed back 3 days for them to get their act together. Frank Pecora had the nerve to call me up and yell at me, telling me that this was my agent's fault. He also said that the fact that he was making my family homeless was not his problem!!! My broker had to go all the way up the chain at Weichert and nothing was happening. Ultimately, we found out that the realtor representing the seller of the house I was buying is friends with the regional VP at Weichert. As soon as she made threatening calls, things finally started to happen. The actual closing was a complete nightmare. The Weichert people (realtor, mortgage broker and title agent) were all over the place. They did not know what has going on. They had the wrong paperwork. They threatened to push back closing again. They were blaming each other for what was happening. We had to basically hold them hostage in my realtor's office until they straightened everything out and the deal went through. As all of this nonsense was going on, we finally got to step aside and talk to the buyer. The poor guy (with wife and two small kids) was even more angry with Weichert than we were. We found out that they had lost three other houses because of Weichert's incompetence. In fact, they had refused to pack their things until after closing. They were one day past their lease and were actually squatting in their apartment because of Weichert. The buyer had absolutely no idea of why closing had been pushed back (we filled him in). Weichert kept him in the dark the whole time. The buyer told us that in order to see houses, Weichert required him to sign a 6 month exclusivity agreement. He said it was the biggest mistake of his life and if he wasn't locked in, he would have used anyone else to get the deal done. This a very condensed version of our Weichert nightmare. If you ever want to buy or sell your home in South Jersey, stay away from Weichert!!!
Description of Work: Robert Irvine of Weichert Realtors was our buyer's realtor. The buyer's mortgage broker was Frank Pecora of the same office at Weichert. We sold our house to a very nice family who made the biggest mistake of their lives by signing a contract with Weichert.

We are very happy with her. If we have to do another real estate transaction in the year, we will most probably go back to her. Everything is fine with her. We will use her services again in the future.
Description of Work: We used Weichert Realtors as our real estate agent. We used Beatrice Bloom who is a part of Weichert Realtors. We bought our house with her just about a year ago. We started working with her two and a half years ago and then finally we found a house for us a year ago. I met her recently just more on a social basis than anything else.
