One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

I called One Hour on a Saturday and placed a Service call request for a Sunday due to a condensation leak inside around the HVAC system. Was told that the service charge would be $30 more than in the past since it was Sunday. Tech was scheduled for “first thing in the morning”, then later Sunday morning I received a text that it he would arrive between 9:00am and 11:00am; Tech didn’t arrive until after ~12:30pm. I requested he blow out the drain line to resolve the condensation leak. However in addition he investigated a tenant comment that the system’s heater had been acting up. In the end the tech called me to say that the unit was very dirty and should be replaced entirely! He also recommended installing a $20 EZ-Trap on the condensate line to prevent future leaks. I asked him to resolve the issue which was the origin of my service request (just the leak) and don’t do any other work. I was then charged $199 for the installation of the EZ-Trap on the condensate line which seems quite excessive to glue in a single, exposed, pvc trap, and the service charge was in addition (just to show up as it were) and not applied to the repair as had been done in the past. Overall, a simple service call for a condensate leak which should have taken ~30mins cost me way too much, was not on time, and yielded multiple proposals for $4,000-$5,000 worth of repair or replacement costs for a new Heater & AC. On the invoice the description of the calls indicated “No A/C Call”, which is not accurate; the A/C was working fine, only complaint was a simple condensate leak. Then on Monday, the day following the repair, the tenant complained that the fan had been running since the tech left on Sunday even with the system set to Off and Fan on Auto. I called One Hour to report the condition that they had clearly caused the day before; they sent another tech out later in the day to assess. The tech called me from the property indicating that he had simply disconnected the heater control so the AC would operate but the heater would not. He left the system in this condition… Days later, I had a different HVAC service company inspect the system; they found a faulty control board and sensor; replaced both for nearly the same price one hour charged me (includes initial diagnostic trip, parts, and return repair trip) and now the system operates just fine (both Heat and A/C). I called One Hour the following week to express my frustration with the service and the invoice; the office forwarded me to the original tech who indicated it’s flat rate billing and there’s nothing he can do; but did refer me to the Operations Mgr. Awaiting a call back to see if we can come to a reasonable compromise. I unfortunately now question One Hour Heating and Air’s ability to perform on time, on task, affordably, and credibility. I have been using them for a couple years for service at this property but unfortunately likely will not in the future.

VERY CONCIENTIOUS OF BEING NEAT AND CLEAN. THEY WORE SHOE COVERINGS BEFORE ENTERING THE HOUSE. THEY IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM VERY QUICKLY AND FIXED IT IN GOOD TIME AND THE DRAIN SYSTEM NEVER LOOKED OR WORKED BETTER (EVEN WHEN FIRST INSTALLED). THE PRICING OF THE JOB WAS VERY FAIR.

Great service! Technician Chris came out on Sunday - arrived an hour before he thought he would get there. As it was Sunday, the part was unavailable. Came back Monday afternoon and replaced the parts and ensured it was working. Very professional, courteous, and up front about costs. Will absolutley use again and will be getting a service contract with them.

Repairs worked fine, no problems.

From the initial consultation to the installation was on time, clean, professional, honest, with great communication letting us know where they was in the process and how the installation was going. We are completely satisfied and feel great about our decision to mgo with One Hour. It was a very pleasant experience being a project we didn't expect .
