Alexander did a fantastic job, quickly and at a reasonable price. The 2 items now look terrific. He even restored all the brass handles on the desk so they look great. He was such a nice guy and it was a pleasure to work with him. I'd recommend him to anyone!

Alexander did a fantastic job, and at a very reasonable price! Both the desk and the chair look better now than they have in many, many decades. Not only did he glue cracks shut, restore a missing piece of scroll work, and touch up all the scratches in the wood that needed attention, but he also refreshed all the metal handles and hinges on the desk, making them look awesome. I'd recommend Alexander to anyone who wants their tired old furniture restored to look beautiful again. He's worth every penny!

This work went perfectly! Mr. O'harro was very professional, very thorough, and very detail oriented. He is extremely knowledgeable about wood and all aspects of woodworking. He provided a complete estimate at our first meeting. His prices were very reasonable and fair. He repaired my beloved old chair that was in several pieces, and I'm am now using it again every day. I can't say enough about his attention to detail and the high quality of his work. I consider myself fortunate to have found him on Angie's List for this work. I would recommend him for repair and refinishing of both fine furniture as well as everyday furniture, since his aesthetic sense is complemented by his mechanical and structural understanding of furniture. He repaired a split in the dining room table top in a way that was flawless and undiscernible, but restored the structural integrity of the table. In several cases, he provided additional work that was over and above the promised work on the estimate. In addition, he is very pleasant to deal with and kept his word regarding promises for the delivery of the finished work in every instance. There were no delays and no appointments unkept. He provided information for maintaining the refinished furniture and answered all my questions. He is a treasure in this age of disappointing quick fixes and shabby work; he stands out as a craftsman who enjoys his work and excels at it.

Alexander was wonderful! I just recently moved and it was h****** my furniture. Alex was prompt and came out right away. He repaired my china closet and a lounger. He then lightly refinished the top of my dining room table. Could not be happier. I highly recommend him.

I was very disappointed in the quality of the work performed. I noticed immediately as the table was being unloaded that the slats had been improperly reassembled and that their housing had been warped because of this resulting in the wood cracking. I complained about what I saw, and the O'Harro insisted that the wood had been warped, which it hadn't. He simply didn't reassemble the piece properly. After looking at the piece more closely, I found that nails were sticking out of the piece--they'd been driven in to reinforce, but had missed their intended mark and so were sticking out. Glue had dripped onto the wood surface and hadn't been wiped away. I removed some of the wooden slats and placed them in properly. They fit fine, expect that their house had been bent by improperly forcing the slats in. Piece of wood that I'd included with the unit weren't replaced and weren't returned. In the course of our conversation outside his truck, the vendor gradually acknowledged that there were problems with his work (this was before I saw the nails and glue streaks). His final words to me were, "I wish I could have done a better job." Me too, and I wish, having acknowledged this, that he'd offered to refund his fee. He needlessly marred the beauty of an attractive piece by being careless and sloppy with a fairly routine job.

Alexander called promptly after I purchased his services. We established a mutually convenient time and he came to our home with fabric samples for the kitchen chair seats. We agreed to his written proposal for the repair work. We also asked him to repair a broken recliner. He took the recliner and one kitchen chair with him and estimated that his work would be completed in approximately 5-7 days. In two days he called to set a time to deliver the repaired furniture. At that time he replaced the seats on the remaining kitchen chairs, which took less than 15 minutes. We were very pleased with Alexander's work. He was professional, very easy to work with, and did a wonderful job.

My sofa is only 3 years old but the frame was bowed in the middle. He added extra support legs in the middle and reinforced the frame to prevent it from bowing. My dresser needed new rail glides and he was able to replace the old ones to make the drawers work again. He did an incredibly thorough job fixing both. I highly recommend to anyone that needs their furniture repaired!

He needed to take it with him and he finished it in one day!! Returned it to my home the following day. He did a beautiful job, the man is a perfectionist. Very professional too. I will use his services again.

After some confusion and lateness, Alex showed up to assess the work the needed to be done. He said that the work was only about $100-$125 but that he would still need to charge us for the materials because the labor was less then $200. I felt it was a bait and switch, but he did do good work. I feel like if he had stated in the deal that it was for labor and that materials were extra, that a lot of confusion would be resolved immediately.

I was very pleased with O'Harro Furniture Repair. My appointment was made within a day or two, and he was prompt and courteous. You can't even tell where he repaired my chair, and my drawer works again! I will use O'Harro in the future for any repairs.

I called Alexander O'harro two days before Thanksgiving. He was vaguely familiar with zero Gravity Chairs but could not guarantee that he could fix it. Cost to come look was only $55 so I thought well worth the try. He was on a job in Philadelphia and I live across the bridge in NJ and he said he could be over in about two hours. He arrived in two hours and fixed the chair in about 1/2 hour. He was completely professional and I would trust him to work on other things. If he has not done the type of job before it seems like he will figure it out. I intend to call him back to attempt to fix my elliptical machine that no one has been able to fix or be willing to try. He also performs restoration of furniture and also upholstering. I have 4 dining room chairs that need to be repaired and the cushions reupholstered. He gave me an estimated price which sounds very fair and I intend to have him back to do that when I have the time.

Once we were able to coordinate an appointment time, everything went fine. Repairs were done quicker than expected. The woven seat repairs were done quickly at my home, and he took the other chairs to his shop for repair. The repairs appear to have held well.

The piece turned out beautiful! He fixed a broken leg and completely refinished the cabinet inside and out. He came and picked it up and brought it to his shop and then returned it about a month later (which is about how long he said it would take). We are very pleased, and would use him again/recommend him to others.

I called Alexander and within 1 hour he was at my apartment. Within 3 hours EVERYTHING WAS COMPLETELY FIXED AND PERFECT!! He was professional, honest, very fast, and made my damaged sectional sofa perfect and like new. My only regret is I don't have more damaged furniture (right now) to have him repair. O'HARRO IS AWESOME!! CALL, USE THEM! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! ?

I called him and asked if he could repair my damaged sofa. He came SAME DAY!! Within a few hours of my phone call, everything was COMPLETELY FIXED and PERFECT! Other furniture repair shops were making me wait weeks to get an estimate (let alone get any work done on my furniture). Alexander was AWESOME! I'll definitely use him again for any further furniture work I may need.

Alex arrived on schedule. It only took him a minute or two to determine what he needed from his truck to start the repairs. After flipping over my Natuzzi Leather recliner and taking it apart to begin the repair, I asked him how he knew so much about all different types of furniture. He explained to me as a young boy he watched his father make and repair furniture and taught him along the way. Not too long thereafter, he was up righting the recliner and trying it out for himself. It worked smoothly. I find Alex to be very knowledgeable in his craft and a true professional.

Called manufacturer (Hickory White) and was told that all pieces were hand made and no replacement was possible. Sent pics to Mr. Oharro and he told me he could do it (others I called couldn't) and gave approximate price range. Did exactly what he promised and charged in the range. Will definitely use him again.

All look terrific and have held up well

I went extremely well. My couch had a few broken springs. But when the gentleman fixed those springs the other plastic spring clips showed they needed to be replaced. So he replaced them all with steel spring clips. It was a ton of work and took the entire day. He was here from 9am to 6pm. It is a fantastic result.

Alexander was great to work with. He did a stellar job on both tables and brought out the beauty in each piece through his selection of finishes. He also completed both projects very quickly.
