TERRIBLE COMPANY. Extremely rude people and the job was so sloppy. They ruined our walls and the countertops came damaged. They didn't care to help either. DO NOT USE

I tend to agree with other reviewer that although the general staff were good however the owner Ali was arrogant and disrespectful towards customer. We went three times and each time for the same kitchen layout he gave us three different measurements, He wouldn't honor his own pricing what he had given us in writing. We were very disappointed. Finally we went else where we got far better quality and pricing then ILkem.

I used Ilkem in the past for my kitchen counters and everything was wonderful. When I wanted to update my bathroom countertops, I went to Ilkem again based on the great experience I had in the past. Unfortunately, the second time was not as good. I ordered two countertops with backsplashes for behind the facet for two bathrooms. The cabinet was the same for both. Initially, I thought everything was great when they were installed. They looked beautiful! But when I went to install the facet, the hole cut for the faucet on one countertop was not working. It was cut too close to the backsplash making it impossible for the faucet to fit. I called Ilkem with my issue on a Saturday. Monday, I received an email from them stating they would thin out the backsplash to make space for the faucet. However, due to the way my mirror was set their suggestion would not work. I called Ilkem with a suggestion of pulling the countertop away from the wall, which would leave a gap of about 1\2 inch, but would be cheaper than replacing the entire piece. Ilkem agreed and sent out men to readjust the piece, which did solve the spacing issue. I wrote to the company and asked for a 20-30% discount off the cost of that countertop since it was not done correctly. The company insisted the piece was indeed cut correctly, that they did no wrong. They offered a 10% discount and claimed that I "insisted" that they correct the issue using my suggestion. They refused to acknowledge the piece was cut incorrectly or that it was measured wrong. Interesting, the second countertop that was fitted to the same cabinet in the other room fit perfectly. The size of that piece was approximately 1\2 inch longer. Ilkem continued to emphasize that they measured and cut the piece correctly and refused to take any more off of the price. It's a shame they were unwilling to work with me. An additional 10% off would have made me 100% happy, but they refused. My opinion is this: their stones are absolutely beautiful. The workers arrive on time and work quickly to install. But if you have any issues, don't expect to be treated well. They don't take responsibility when things are not done correctly.

I was very happy with ILKEM from beginning to end. They allowed me to browse their huge selection of slabs with no pressure, and were always available to answer questions. Installation required 2 visits, after templating, and their staff was professional and very punctual on all visits. As far as workmanship, everything was installed beautifully and carefully down to the last detail. They took away the old counter tops and left the area clean. I am happy I chose ILKEM and recommend them highly.

Ilkem was recommended to my wife and I by our contractor for our new kitchen renovation. We trusted our contractor and took his advice and did not consult any other granite suppliers. We originally contracted Ilkem for our granite countertops and island for our kitchen in Feb 2014. At the time, we picked out a Level 2 Granite (which was $49 sq/ ft), called Spectrus (primarily black & brown) and our choice of edging (they had 6-8 I believe). They also provided a sink, which was great because we wanted a big sink (I think it's 30" wide). On the day they came to install the movers were in and out in about 30 minutes, applying the adhesive underneath to the cabinets and filling in the space between slabs with a resin mixture to make it blend in. The only minor issue was that my stove was a snug fit to get back in. They took my payment over the phone by card and we were finished. Overall, I was pleased with the work and the expediency of their work. Recently (Spring 2016) my wife and I decided to add an additional cabinet & granite counter top in a blank space in our kitchen we had not previously put anything. We wanted the same matching granite. When I went back to Ilkem this time around the name of the granite had changed (Fusion Brown) and it was now a level 5 granite ($89 sq/ ft). There was some back and forth on pricing, as I wanted to pay my original price per sq feet, (I only needed 7 sq ft.) At first, Ilkem wasn't willing to match the price but after a bit of a stalemate, we worked out a deal. They were able to cut and install the piece pretty quickly. As it turns out, the granite is not an exact match (explains the higher grade granite pricing), but its so close you can't tell. I only know because I live in my house. Other people that have come to visit didn't notice until I pointed it out. In fact, it looks like it was part of the original job. So in that regard, I'm sure finding granite that matches older can be difficult, but Ilkem was up to the task. If you're looking to use Ilkem, one additional thing I would point out is that they have a huge warehouse with tons of choices. Make sure that when choosing your granite you wipe it down and try and get it a look at it in natural light (or the showroom), as the fluorescent bulbs don't always show you the true color of the granite (one of the original granite colors we chose would have looked green under natural light, but we couldn't tell in the warehouse). I would recommend Ilkem to anyone looking to enhance their kitchen experience.

I would like to share with everyone our horrific experience with the owner of Ilkem Granite & Marble. In July my wife and I placed an order for Granite for our bathroom counter tops as well as a shower bench seat and thresholds. At the time we thought the owner was giving a fair offer and he seemed trustworthy so we paid in full and left the store happy. Because of a significant delay in our bathroom remodel we did not finalize our order with Ilkem Granite until January 2016. We went back into the Ilkem showroom because it had been 7 months since we originally placed the order to confirm everything. Our order had no issues and we confirmed granite color and installation with the sales representative as well as the owner. We even told the owner my wife was pregnant because at the time he was friendly. We also scheduled the template as well as the installation for all our granite. A few days later when the Ilkem came to deliver and install the granite we get a call from our contractor saying that the installers refuse to install the pieces we ordered in the shower. I was completely confused. At no point during our meetings with the owner or his sales representative were we told that pieces for the shower would not be installed (we even confirmed installation with his sales rep during our final meeting). Even on the invoice it states price includes "Materials, Template and INSTALLATION". I immediately called Ilkem. After speaking with a service representative, the owner comes on the phone and screams "no we never install shower pieces, your contractor should do that", "the process involves much more then just installing the counter top and we need thinset to do all this". WHAT??? Why would you only install half the project? He proceeded to yell and scream. After he finished yelling I said to take everything back since he essentially voided our signed contract by refusing to install all pieces purchased. The owner said fine but he was going to charge me $250 for templating. Realizing I was about to lose my order and spend $250, I mistakenly gave in and had them install the counter top. The shower pieces were placed in a separate room to keep them out of the way until our contractor could install them. Two days later our contractor attempts to install the shower pieces and all of the pieces do not measure correctly. None of the pieces were templated correctly and there were gaps and seams everywhere. My wife called the owner to inform him of this and he responded by screaming at her about how our contractor doesn't know what he is doing and we are being unreasonable. My wife immediately starts crying which only makes him yell at her more. Mind you she is 4 months pregnant and the owner knew this. He offered us a $100 credit for almost 10 square feet of incorrectly cut Granite. We refuse and ask him to come to our house to see how awful these pieces look. He comes to our house and after seeing how bad the pieces are cut he ups his credit to $500. We took the credit because honestly we didn't want to deal with him any more. Who screams at a pregnant women? In the end we probably lost a couple hundred dollars and put the completion of our bathroom back several weeks because now we need to find new Granite people to install about 10 square feet.

There are stones at Ilkem that I never encountered in other warehouses I visited. After my choice was made, The kitchen was measured and templates perfectly. The installers did a great job, and everyone loves the kitchen. The reservations I have/had are 1) Ilkem was very understaffed at the time of my research and purchase, you have to hunt someone down for service or information. At times the owner is the only one there to write up an order, so customers must wait. 3) communication problems, which likely result from above. As an example, my contractor simply wanted the granite installers to drop down the hoses from the kitchen sink as they installed it so that he could get at them more easily for plumbing. The young staffers in the office said, "No problem; they will do anything you want." No they won't. When the installers came, they either could not comprehend what I wanted or did not want to do it. A call back to Ilkem resulted in the owner, Ali, yelling in the background, "We are not installing that plumbing." Simple miscommunication and chain of command problems.Yet, several months later, I went back to Ilkem for a price on my bathroom counter tops. Ali could not have been more charming nor generous in his pricing. His daughter, Ilkem, was now in charge of customer service in the lobby, very efficient and professional. I am hopeful that the problems have been resolved so that more customers will enjoy the beautiful results.

We have a large space, which needed a lot of square footage of granite. Ilkem worked with us to provide us with the look we wanted within our budget. More importantly, since our cabinet installation ran behind, we only had a very short period of time to have the granite templates and installed before a family gathering at our house. Ilkem came out the day the cabinets were installed to template and then delivered and installed the counter-tops the next day. We love the result and had a fantastic experience with Ilkem!

The owner and his daughter were so helpful and kind they made recommendations and got us exactly what we needed. We had our three children under age five with us - our kids are pretty well behave but still they didn't mind at all the interacted with them. The person who did the template was great - he was timely and did a good job. Installers were also helpful. We love the finished product and thought the price was very reasonable. We shopped around other places including kol granite - who we thought were terrible and rude. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. The only slight improvement they could have made was returning phone calls a little sooner it sometimes took a couple days and when you are under construction a couple days seems like a lifetime :). Once the template was done they install within 3 days. Great experience!

The people at the show room were great. The selection process was easy. They came to measure my kitchen, make templates and the granite was ready to be installed only 2 days later. Install was quick, and the installers paid much attention to detail., for example, the overhang on the counter tops was equal all around the job. The cutout for the sink and the fitting of the slide in range went perfectly. My only problem with this job was we were promised a cutting board made out of the same granite we purchased. We were told it would come from the piece that was remover for the sink cutout.. I have called Ilkem several times and was told someone would call me, no calls almost 3 months later. And other times, just got a runaround. Nice job, great service for the measuring and install, but if you are offered a cutting board, get it in writing.

At the direction of our GC for our kitchen we went to select counter tops from Ilkem. The customer service was terrible. The saleswoman was less than unhelpful. It was like we were bothering her. She did not appear to be knowledgeable about the stones and she pretty much just left us on our own to wander around their lot. When we wanted to have them move a stone so we could see what was behind it, she seemed annoyed and tried to tell us it looked just the like one in front—which it totally didn’t (I am quite certain it was a mislabled stone that was put in the wrong spot). When we asked how much a stone cost or what the name of it was while wandering around the showroom, she gave brief non-committed answers so she could get back to texting on her phone. There was a second customer service guy with the woman. While he didn’t work with us, he seemed equally unhelpful. More to the point we were very disappointed with the selection. I did not count the slabs of course, but I would guess they had no more than about 65 different stone varieties. Once you eliminate specific colors and patter styles the list dwindles very, very quickly. Nothing it seemed was priced in the 1, 2 or 3 category. Home Depot and Lowes basically have the same or even better selection. I can not speak to installation or fabrication, but given the sales experience I have very little confidence in Ilkem. I would not use them

We renovated our kitchen during the summer of 2010. I priced out everything so that we could afford the best our money could pay for at the time. I fell in love with a slab of granite at Ilkem, the color and veining was exactly what I had envisioned and the price was very good. I continued to look at six other local suppliers, but decided on Ilkem because of the slab and the pricing as well as a friend being happy with the installation of her granite counters from Ilkem. On the day of installation, August 5th, the finished edge did not match the top surface. This couldn't be determined before the slab was cut for our project because slabs have raw edges in the warehouse. Apparently the slab had been treated when it was mined and that changed the surface color (which I love) from the true color which showed through at the now finished edge. They applied a sealant, saying it would bring the color closer. It did not. They came back several times to try different chemicals on the stone. I expressed my dissatisfaction multiple times for the defective product. I got the run around that one of the owners was trying to contact the supplier and they were trying to fit me in... for three months. Only after writing a letter of complaint, on November 12th, did the owner agree to replace the granite before Thanksgiving if my husband's suggestion of mixing a dye with epoxy to see if it would adhere to the granite. This turned out to be a semi-permanent solution. In high traffic areas - in front of the stove and sink as well as along the seating area the dye wore of in a matter of months. Ilkem gave us the can of dye before Thanksgiving and we parted ways. They should have tried the sealant at the shop and informed me when the edge didn't match the surface so that I could pick something new. I should have rejected the granite before it came off of their truck and into my home. Should have, but didn't. As much as I enjoy the granite in my kitchen, it's quite beautiful, it pains me every time I look at the edge. There were months of poor customer service and now my husband has to retouch the edge with the dye and epoxy combination. I understand that this is a freak thing to happen with stone. There were two or three other slabs of granite that were from the same batch as mine. I wonder how the customers who bought those fared, or did Ilkem send those slabs back to their supplier?

On our initial visit to Ilkem, owner Ali escorted us into their large slab warehouse and was very helpful in facilitating our selection by providing an exact color/finish match to our cabinets order from their collection of brand name cabinet makers. After finding the perfect stone from their wide selection, we were able to secure pricing which included 4and quot; backsplashes, a 30and quot; rectangular undermount sink, and full template/installation. The biggest value to me was the speed and quality of Ilkem's installation. After coming out for a template on Friday evening, they were back late Saturday afternoon (the next day!!) to install about 40 square feet, along with a single seam that is virtually undetectable. In an industry that averages a one week turnaround, next day service made our new kitchen instantly usable and ready for finishing. I highly recommend their services to anyone, and look forward to working with them again for any future countertop needs.

Overall the experience was Good, but not excellent. There were definitely things that we as the consumer did not understand going into the process - so it was at least partially our naivety. In the end, they definitely sought to please the customer. The quality of the product was outstanding. The quality of the install was great. However, we did not get the and quot;dealand quot; we were originally led to believe we were getting - they left out some of the and quot;extrasand quot; that were promised in the original, because they weren't documented in the contract. I will grant you, that is at least partially our fault for not specifying - and we will definitely learn from the experience. I would say if you are experienced with home contractors, working with this company would be fine. Similarly, if I would recommend one area for improvement for the company, it would be in customer education. Setting expectations accurately would help greatly.

I hired this company to fabricate and install a custom quartz counter top for my bathroom vanity. I visited the showroom and found a piece of stone that I liked. i place a deposit and scheduled a template date. The owner came to my house to template the top on the scheduled date. My problems came with the fabrication and installation. This was not a complicated project. The top was for a 30and quot; vanity and was to be cut as a banjo top. When they came out to install, the sink cut-out was set way too far forward, so there was no way the sink was going to fit in the vanity. I had no choice to send it back. Further, Ilkem no longer had the stone I chose in stock, so they could not make me a replacement. Luckily, they refunded my deposit. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They have an excellent selection of granite, very competitive prices and do excellent work. They arrived at my house and within two hours had done the cutouts for the sinks, installed the countertops, did the cutouts for the faucets, cleaned up and left. Their work was superb! They removed a huge mirror from above the sinks while they were working so it wouldn't get broken and then put it back. Instead of just doing the cutouts for the sinks where the prior sinks were located, they realized that they were not centered correctly on the cabinets, so they remeasured and put the new ones in the correct places, and they look much better.

They showed up late, without tools, didn't cover things and disconnected a hose but did not plug it and I had water flood the kitchen and basement. When I mentioned it to the owner he started yelling at me. One of their tile guys came out late and I was told from the secretary that I would get a discount. The tile guy knew nothing about it and refused to give me any credit. If you want a good product done cheap, they are great. But be prepared for the worse to happen. It was a nightmare. Would never recommend them or use them again.

Mustafa came to give me an estimate. He did a template of the work during the same visit. I visited the showroom in Cherry Hill to see the slabs of granite and samples of the edges. I knew the color I wanted, so it was nice to see the whole slab. The men came promptly as promised on the day of the work. Even though it was raining that day, the men were very careful about covering my hardwood floor so they wouldn't get the floor wet and dirty. When they completed their work, the plumber came to finish the work on my new double sink. I wasn't happy with his job; he told me he couldn't put the garbage disposal on the left side, but when my husband came home that evening he said it could have easily been put on the left side. The hose to the garbage disposal was also bent, not straight. I called Mustafa, and he assured me he would take care of these problems. Three days later he sent another plumber who switched the sinks so now I have the garbage disposal on the left side, and the garbage disposal hose is straight. Mustafa was very accommodating and wanted me to be happy with the job. I am very happy and I love my new kitchen.
Description of Work: Granite countertops were installed in my kitchen.

From the minute i walked into the showroom, they were great. Very friendly, responsive, open to questions and fast fast fast installation from time of order to time of installation. I believe we waited 5 days but that was only because we weren't able to do it earlier. I was thoroughly impressed by the estimator as well as the installers. Everything was perfect - beautiful - top notch! We are extremely happy with our new kitchen countertops as well as our tile backsplash. We would HIGHLY recommend them to family and friends. Thank you Ilkem!
Description of Work: We had Ilkem Granite and Marble in Cherry Hill, NJ install a new granite countertop in our kitchen. Included in the amazing price was also an undermount stainless steel sink and faucet, template, installation and plumber to hook up the new pipes. We also had their subcontractor (Mehmet) do a 4"x4" travertine tile backsplash, which also turned out beautiful.
