He looked at everything and said that he will be back next week with an estimate (Evidently, this company does not email estimates) The estimator never showed up for the followup appointment. He did not return multiple followup calls either either. I called the office and was told that there was nothing they could do about the estimator not getting back to me. Very poor customer service.

Turns out he and the Hutchinson energy auditor dis-assembled the furnace suggesting that they replace the entire Heating A/C unit for $20,000. I brought out a competitor who repaired the unit and bid less than $6500 to replace the unit. For the hot water heater I was charged $2000 for a $1200 unit. There have been no responses to my emails and certified mail. Bottom line.... over priced. No response once unit was installed.

They were professional, clean and courteous. I like that they listen well and get the job done right the first time.

This is not your father's Hutchinson Plumbing Co.! In the fall of 2014 Hutchinson replaced my sewer line in our front yard. When the excavators refilled the trench they did not pack down the soil to prevent sinking. I know because I was present when the work was being performed. Sure enough, by the spring we had a sink hole and cracks developing in our driveway,sidewalk and cement apron. I called, several times, to see if they would come out and take a look and I was informed that it would cost me $95 for the house visit ! At first I was told sink holes were not covered then I was informed that a supervisor would come out and take pictures. The supervisor who took the pictures said the situation looked very different (worst) than what he imagined. A few days later after reviewing the pictures I was told that the sink hole was not covered and I should "go after" the person who black topped our driveway. So one contractor (Hutchinson) is telling me to go after another contractor. That's their solution!

We have used them before, this was the 3rd time. My wife and I have a service contract with them throughout the year.

The employee was very professional, thorough and friendly. I really appreciated the time he took to answer all of my questions. Although we did not go with this company (for a variety of reasons, but mainly because of a personal referral to another contractor), I thought that they were great.

Ben the technician came within the scheduled time window. He called 10 min ahead to make sure I was home. He had boot covers on (as I asked when scheduling the appointment) when I answered the door. He was polite. He identified the problem quickly and replaced the needed part within the hour. The price is a 1-yr plan, which was only $50 more if I had just done the repair. I hadn't compared price so not sure if it's an "A" price.

It was quick and professional. They came in and did it all in one day and it looks and functions great!

DO NOT go with Hutchinson. They attempted to convince me that my home needed more than $10,000 in repairs, when in reality it needed a $100 fix. We had just bought the house. Since we had bought it in the winter, we had been unable to fully check the central AC system. Now it was summer and it had frozen up. So we called Hutchinson. When they came, they told me that the following and more were wrong with my home: the air conditioning system was too small for the house, the hot water heater was unsustainable given the venting in the home, and the ductwork for the heating system needed to be reconfigured. We then called a contractor we trust, who reported that all systems looked in great shape. The freezing up had been because the system was low on coolant. And why was it low on coolant? Because a valve that is front and center on the system was loose. Anyone who knows anything about HVAC should have seen it. Hutchinson missed it. I am deeply insulted that Hutchinson would attempt to deceive me this way. No one, NO ONE should use them.

They were able to fix it. Just one person came out and they were here for about an hour. The area was clean when they left. He was a nice guy. He diagnosed the problem right away. He recommended something that would fix the problem. He also made an appointment to get an estimate on replacing the air conditioner. I was pleased with the service.

I was renting a property at the time until my new home was ready. I called them to come out because heater wasn't working. They came out and Wayne did a good job offered a service plan which if anything went wrong, I'd be at the top of the list to be fixed and he would give me a $50 coupon. I thought it was pointless since we were not staying there. However, he said the contract moves with us, if the house was the same size, the new house is a little bigger, I'd just pay the difference. I got to new home and I was having ac problems and they said they don't move contracts. I asked for manager. I spoke with Kurt, told him the situation, he said he could refund the original price and recharge for new, which is more expensive. Today, the AC is not working again. So I called and they had nothing in system about agreement with Kurt.

Toilets were taking 2 minutes to fill after a flush. John diagnosed the problem and had enough replacement parts on his truck. He worked neatly and was very professional and courteous. After the valves were replaced he did a double check for leaks on each toilet, also checked to make sure the tanks were securely attached and even made sure the seats were fastened tightly. I've tried several plumbers over the years and this is the first one I've been completely satisfied with. If I ever need plumbing services again I'll call Hutchinson's first. I found out about them through a letter I received many months ago from Jim Berry Heating and Cooling. The two companies have joined forces and you can call Jim Berry in Cape May to get plumbing services from Hutchinson's. Worked great for me.

It was a good experience. So far everything works. They did good work. They came when they said they were going to do and they charged me the price they said they were going to charge. Supposed to be able to qualify for an energy whatever grant or something like that, they messed up the paper work so the State wouldn't give us the grant, what they did because they messed up as they took the amount of grant vault to their price. I would probably use them again in the future.

Chose to go with a different provider.

We had an excellent experience working with Hutchinson. We called Hutchinson for an estimate to replace our water heater after Lowes gave us the run-around and an expensive quote that included unnecessary parts. A Hutchinson sales rep (Joe) came out the next day. He was on time (to the minute), well versed in water heaters, boilers and AC units, and very knowledgeable about the equipment that Hutchinson offered and the Energy Star programs offered by the state of NJ. He was informative and not pushy. We mentioned that we were also interested in replacing our boiler in the next few years and Joe gave us information about simply replacing the water heater + about replacing the water heater and boiler at the same time thru the NJ Energy Star Program (an expensive upfront cost but well worth it in the long term). We went with the Energy Star program, which included air sealing our house, installing extra instillation in the attic and basement, a 95% efficient boiler with a water heater attached. With the program, Hutchinson takes care of all labor and includes a 2 year service contract the includes all parts and labor. It was about 18,000, but we qualified for a $5,000 immediate rebate from the State of NJ, which knocked the cost down to $13,000 for us. Still very expensive, but the State of NJ is offering a 10 year inerest free loan thru the program. On average, people save $83 a month on their gas bills when installing this equipment, which is actually the monthly payment amount for the loan (on purpose). Therefore, (in the long term) this equipment will actually only cost us $3,000 in total. Hutchinson was on time for instillation. We were under the impression that the project would take 1 day, but it quickly turned into 3 days, which was a slight inconvenience but glad the job was done correctly. Cleaned up after the job 100%. Everyone that we worked with at Hutchinson was friendly, respectfull, courtious, and knowledge.

Very professional! Reasonable pricing. The technicians who installed everything were punctual, pleasant, efficient, and cleanly. They clearly explained changes from the old systems and the need for inspection by the state after the installation was complete. I was very happy with their service and would use them again if needed.

The service went very well from start to finish. The process for the estimate was done quickly and Jim really made us feel at ease. The pricing was a bit higher then another quote, but we were more comfortable with Hutchinson, so they worked with us a little on bringing down the price so it was closer to the competitive bid. Since we were installing an entirely new system and improving our energy efficiency by so much, Hutchinson helped us get into a state program that included a $5000 rebate and 10 year 0% financing for $10,000. After other rebates, we only had to pay about $2000 out of pocket for the entire package and financed the $10,000 with the state. The crew was extremely friendly over the two days they were here. They did a neat job and made sure everything was cleaned up and left the way it was when they entered. We had a few minor issues, but Hutchinson was quick to come and made sure everything was taken care of. Jim followed up to make sure that we were happy with the way things were completed. He also made sure he was there on the initial install day to ensure that the staff knew exactly what was discussed at our consultations. Overall, we are very happy with the work that way done.

He has done numerous plumbing for us. He has done plumbing installation, shower installation. He has fixed leaks and fixed the bathtub leak. He is very good. The cleanup could be better.

The job entailed disassembling and installing a complete new Carrier heating and air conditioning system in my small condo. The unit had to be installed in my attic off the loft. There is a small circular staircase leading from my living area up to the loft, in addition to nearly 20 steps leading from the outside into my 2nd floor unit. The workers came on a Saturday morning about 8 AM and were finished around 2:30 PM. I was astounded at the fact the work was done with nearly no noise and clean up was handled well. They even had a separate vehicle that took away the debris. They were entirely professional at all times. My salesman showed up during the installation to make sure everything was on track and stayed in touch with me following the installation to insure permits were submitted, etc. A few days later I was called to schedule a complete duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning; included in the price of installation. Then, in December, I was called again to schedule a heating check up, also covered in the price of installation. Hutchinson in my opinion is the best! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Yes, they may tend to be a little more expensive but in my experience, you get what you pay for.

I have been using Hutchinson since I got my house back in 2010. All I have to say is they do the job right. The price is a bit higher then some other local companies, but the quality of the work is beyond compare. I spoke to Brian the sales guy and after a bit of miss-communication he was able to get me a quote for a new Carrier AC unit at a price that was fair. The guys who came to install it did an amazing job. They were here for about 4 hours and were great. I'm sure I could have gotten the new system a bit cheaper elsewhere, but I want the job done right the first time, I trust Hutch to do just that.

I've been using Hutchinson for about 15 years. They have always provided superior service, whether fixing plumbing problems or installing my new air conditioner. This visit was scheduled a few weeks ahead of time. I wanted an early a.m. appointment so I would not lose too much time at work. Montrell was assigned to my service ticket. He arrived around 8:15 a.m. He was extremely courteous, wore booties while in the house. He explained all that was involved with removing the old sink and installing the new one. He addressed my questions and concerns (i.e., would there be damage to the existing cheap formica countertop). He was very careful and cleaned up the grunge/caulk from old sink before installing the new one. New sink looks great ! No damage to countertop. He also answered some of my concerns about existing toilets that seem to be always needing repairs. He was finished in 2 hours and I was in the office by 10:30 !!!

It made a huge difference for my heating bill. They are very nice, I worked with Tom, he is very professional, knowledgable, and great to work with.

The estimate involved several days to receive in order to coordinate with state rebate programs. Three levels of replacement services were offered, ranging from $14,000 t0 32,000. The estimator was a salesman. I went with a more local family owned firm where the owner operator came out for the estimate. That price was $3000 less and the owner operator was on the job inspecting three times during the one day of installation
