Description of Work: They replaced my furnace and even replaced a part on my water heater for me no charge. They were all nice and respectful. It was all done in one day.

Description of Work: Hutchinson was just here to take care of a major clog I could not snake. They came right out took care of everything plus also they recommended and performed install of new cartridges for both of our showers. | |In the past Hutch also did the oil to gas conversion of our heating system and installed a new AC unit they provided very good pricing and we're true professionals.

Description of Work: My air conditioning needed to be recharged and at the same time I wanted to get a quote for replacing my entire HVAC system upstairs and down. The estimator came out and looked at the system and I told him that a tech was coming to most likely charge the system (which is what he ended up doing. I told him this was the second time that I had to have the system charged and that I thought it was going. We went over what I wanted to replace and he said he would get me an estimate out shortly. As he was leaving the tech came to work on the system. He spoke to the tech briefly and then left. The tech said, as I thought, that the refrigerant was low and he would need to charge it. He charged the system in about five minutes and said it took 4 1/2 lbs of refrigerant. The only thing is I don't know how he cam up with the weight. The last time I had it charged it took 2 1/2 lbs and took about twenty minutes to charge. This time it took almost double that and only took five minutes. I don't know if that's what I really got but I paid for it and he was on his way and the A/C worked again. | |I waited a week for the estimate to come and then called asking where it was. The operator said they would have the estimator call me which he quickly did. He told me that he thought I only wanted to have the system serviced and he was sorry that he misunderstood. I told him again that no I wanted to look at replacing both systems since one of them was more than twenty years old. He told me he would put the estimate together and get it out to me right away. It's been more than two weeks and I still haven't received the estimate. Hutchinson has a good reputation in my area but this experience has left me wondering if I would really want to use them again.

Description of Work: Quite for new HVAC system was twice as much as what I got from other contractors. They may be good just too expensive. Easy to save thousands by going elsewhere.

Description of Work: They came a day after they said they would come. Did the repair work well.

Description of Work: Came out to give my contracted A/C tuneup for the season. It wasn't the usual man that services my unit. He kept coming upstairs and asking me if I wanted things done to the unit (at an additional cost). I kept saying no, just do what is covered under the contract. In the end, he said I needed a new unit at a cost of 5-8K. I live in a townhouse and found that to be an outrageous price. I never replaced the unit and it's still working. I really didn't feel comfortable with this particular contractor and felt like he was trying to make money off of the visit. I kept wondering where the contractor that usually comes out to my house was. Because of this experience, I'm not sure if I will use them again.

Description of Work: Replaced hot water hearer, gas furnace and air conditioner. Technicians were very thorough and efficient. Work meets Energy Star requirements which company took care of and saved about $4000. Prompt replacement of transformer on blower system that produced annoying hum.

Description of Work: My central air conditioning system broke down so I gave them a call on Saturday to come and give me a quote for a new one. They said that they could come at 1pm or 4 pm on Monday at the arliest. I explained that I worked and so an early morning appointment would be good for me. They gave me a 7 am appointment for Monday but no one turned up. When I called at 8 am they said it was a 7 pm appointment. I said please check the conversation on your recorded call. They said that the supervisor comes in at 10 am (wow!!) and will then listen to my call and let me know. I relied on them and di not make an appoint ment with another company and they let me down. They did not even offer to send someone in the morning. It seemed like a we care less attitude on the phone. I will not deal with a company that provides such poor customer service.
